  1. Maybe it isn't the cable.
  2. I didn’t mean to imply he was open carrying; I think Florida requires it to be concealed. But I think briefly displaying it as he did when he was at his vehicle is lawful. I don’t think he did anything wrong (other than probably not paying attention) nor do I think those that intervened did anything wrong.
  3. Maybe we aren’t all seeing the same video. I see some folks jumping in. I have no idea if they are Wal-Mart employees or not (really doesn’t matter). They break up a fight where I am sure they have no idea what’s going on, they see a gun, remove it from the fight and stay with them until the cops show up. It is determined the guy carrying the gun was attacked and the attacker is arrested for battery. Other than one person (who probably will turn out to be a mental case) committing a crime I don’t see where anyone that intervened did anything wrong or where Wal-Mart could have done anymore. A gun owner that didn’t conceal got jumped and had his gun taken away by a criminal; it happens. But usually the criminal isn’t held there by citizens/employees/whatever.
  4. Everything is way up because of the internet. Guns used to be cheap at gun shows, but not anymore. I assumed the same thing was happening with Ham gear; throw it on-line and get a bigger market. I know I got a lot of replies on my stuff even when I posted the tower had to be picked up here. The radios shipped.
  5. Muscle memory. I like the looks of the Vaquero, but I don’t want my thumb moving to the top of my handgun if I have to use it in real life. I don't own anything that wants to be a Glock.
  6. Yes, Something I could wear with my cowboy hat and boots; but still bad azz.
  7. I was going to get my license, had gear bought, tower and antenna up, but never could get excited about it when they had the code requirement. Sold all my stuff and they dropped the code requirement. I may give it another go, but now all that money is wrapped up in guns.
  8. I wish an American company would make a double action reproduction of the Colt Peacemaker.
  9. That was Homeland Security; and its just common sense.
  10. Yea right, two guys are involved in a fight (no one knows why) let’s leave one of them in possession of a gun. That would be stupid whether its Walmart security, the cops, or citizens stopping the fight. Wal-Mart has nothing to apologize for other than a common courtesy apology that the man was the victim of a crime. It also isn’t up to Wal-Mart to press charges; it’s up to the victim. He has done that and the attacker was taken to jail. That is all that can be done. I hate to see businesses get caught up in the gun issues; they can’t win either way.
  11. No, they detained the bad guy.   Good guy.... Leave. Bad guy..... Leave if you think you can.
  12. Anyone, including you if you happen to be standing there when a crime is committed.
  13. I guess if you are going to play Superman you need to know the ground rules.
  14. Sounds like he might have got shot whether he had a warrant or not. I think I would have got him on the phone and ordered him outside. I would rather be standing outside the house than inside it if they think he may detonate a bomb.
  15. He claims to have climbed up on the Superdome and killed 30 armed looters, killed two guys in Texas that was trying to steal his truck, and punched out Jesse Ventura in a bar. That doesn’t take away from the fact he was a great sniper & SEAL. I always assumed the tall tales were caused by mental issues.
  16. “Brief” or “printing” doesn’t seem to have anything to do with it (according to the story). They say he had an unsecured handgun laying out in the open and another in a bag that was open. According to the story; that is illegal in Florida.
  17. What car are we talking about now?
  18. Tennessee doesn’t restrict gun ownership for an involuntary commitment to a mental institution; they require a court order. I think that is what stops Tennessee from being eligible; but I’m not sure.
  19. Even if we could get one, I really don’t want to pay $300 for one. And if they can get a case in front of the Illinois Supreme Court; you may not need one. Illinois could go from the last to allow carry to the next Constitutional Carry State. I do a lot of my shooting there; I hope they get it straightened out. http://www.fed-soc.org/publications/detail/illinois-supreme-court-ruling-explores-scope-of-second-amendment
  20. I’m confused, not being negative about it; but what’s the application? Without being a sub machine gun (original design) it’s just a big azz 9mm handgun. As far as firepower goes, and not wanting to deal with tax stamps, wouldn’t a PLR-16 in .223 be a more desirable option, and cheaper? School me.
  21. The CLEO in all counties in Tennessee is the County Sherriff, with the exception of Davidson where it is the Metro Chief.
  22. All my carry weapons are secured with a thumb break. I have seen way to many people lose control of their weapons. A lot of people are shot trying to grab a falling weapon.
  23. We don't have safe passage through all states.
  24. It should have been a learning experience for the other team’s players and coaches. Critique what they did wrong and what they could do to fix it. But I guess they decided to be a bunch a cry babies and blame it on the opposing coach. What a life lesson.
