  1. They can’t; FFL’s are Federal and go by Federal law (and some state restrictions). You would also need an FFL that would do it; they aren’t going to risk their license, it is their livelihood. Dealers can already sell long guns to out of state residents (in their store), but most won’t because they are responsible for complying with both states laws. Tennessee already tried thumbing their nose at the Feds with the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act. FFL’s all got letters making it clear that won’t fly. The law says residents here can buy guns and suppressors made here without going through an FFL. But try to find someone to sell you one.
  2. Let’s see…. The last time I was in a Wal-Mart I’m pretty sure I saw beer...And...Oh my gosh...(dare I even type the word) Cigarettes. Is the church sure they are done with their “lets vote on this” list? Wal-Mart needs to tell the church in a very respectable way...to go pound sand.
  3. Nothing wrong with finding out what the AG’s opinion is. It’s better than blowing stuff up, having the Police show up, getting arrested and finding out what the law is when you are on trial. The AG doesn’t make law and the courts aren’t bound by their opinions. You get all the info from all the sources you can and then make an informed decision about whether or not you are ready to take responsibility for what you are about to do.
  4. I certainly have no sympathy for drug users, but this will never get by the SCOTUS. A government entity can’t require people to take a drug test because they are poor. If they say they are drug abusers then its fine to test them; but I would guess the only way they will do that is if it gets them some type of disability. Quite frankly I’m kinda surprised at the number of people here that get their panties in a bunch every time there is a mention of the Police searching someone but seem to be fine with searching people with no PC or even RAS because they don’t think they should be getting money.
  5. She’s low balling you. Tell her you NEED another $150 and step up to a Ruger SR1911; you won’t be sorry you did.
  6. We can detect a missile launch; so I’m pretty sure we can detect a nuke; and I’m pretty sure we detected that chemical plant blowing up. (and then did a fly by)
  7. Wal-Mart sells many foreign made products that impair the company’s reputation and damage community values through lost jobs. Of course if you removed all the bottom feeder products it wouldn’t be Wal-Mart; would it? This is a different approach on gun control by the church; but it is still laughable.
  8. Keeping the use of a nuke quiet would be impossible. http://www.9news.com.au/world/2015/02/09/17/48/090215-ukraine-bombing-of-chemical-plant-creates-huge-mushroom-cloud
  9. Excellent review; especially around 7:28.
  10. It would be if there were no exemptions for anyone on retail products. You buy a finished product; you pay the tax.
  11. I feel lucky; I’m one of the few “older” people I know that like change; especially technology. New version of Windows, major update on work software, GPS, new hardware devices, new firearms, ....bring it on; I’m in. Not everything “new” is “better”; but most is.
  12. It’s going to get worse. By the time he leaves office Obama will try to have the illegals on welfare, free medical, and give them the vote. Congress seems to be fine with standing by watching him destroy our country. Everyone has a right to enjoy the same lifestyle we have whether they work or not. You are just going to have to work harder to pay your fair share.
  13. Man that is so cool. To shoot 300 yards I have to wait at a range or drive to Illinois. Most of the time anymore its wait until I go to Illinois.
  14. I see. Well I don’t know what God thinks about it, but JMB used both internal and external extractors in his designs; he used the internal extractor in the 1911 because of ammo issues at the time. The Browning Hi-Power was later changed to an external extractor to make it more reliable. But it’s all good; they both work. I know what you mean about looks though; I’m a Toolmaker and the fit and finish of my SW1911 is superior to that of my SR1911. They both shoot great though.
  15. How far will you be able to shoot when you get your land cleared?
  16. Why the hate for an external extractor?
  17. That's good shooting.
  18. If that’s a 225 yard shot and you could do it again; that’s impressive. If you were aiming at a target 2 feet away and it hit that bottle; not so much.
  19. These were being sold for $500 (basic version) when they first came out; they are now up to about $700 because they have proven themselves. I was looking for one of these but got a deal on a SR1911 at the same time. I've owned most others and have a SW1911 now also. If money were not the deciding factor would I take a Remington or a Ruger over an SW1911 or a Kimber? No way, but I don’t think you will hear many people bad mouth them. Not heard anything good about Remington lately? Let me help you out. Remington is the top dog of the bolt action market with the 700; there are other good one out there, but they are so far behind Remington they can’t see the taillights. Same thing with the 870 in the pump shotgun market. Remington is moving its main operations to Huntsville; good for them and I wish them continued success.
  20. Common sense tells me that if they let guests shoot; they will let you shoot while you are there joining.
  21. If Obama would turn the military back over to military leaders; ISIS would be too busy burying friends and family members to cause problems. These people do not fear us, and they aren’t afraid to die. They are like cockroaches; killing them is the only way to get rid of them.

This… I assumed he wanted to carry. If he’s going bigger he might as well step all the way up and go with the S&W 686 in 4” or 6”.
