  1. While the park is “leased” is it no longer open to the public for free? Who is responsible for injuries that occur during the event? Responsibility and control will be the questions a court would have to answer. However, I doubt anyone will sue; because they will have no loss.
  2. He won’t keep his job whether he’s convicted or not. Assuming or course the claims in the story are correct.
  3. I can believe someone with severe problems would think that way. I can’t hardly believe that someone would think it is a good story to write; and the two met.
  4. They can use it during sentencing. Drunk, trying to run over them and then shooting them while they waited on the cops; he should be going to prison for a very long time.
  5. Oops, we made a mistake; we never should have moved out of Cheyenne Mountain. Now not only have we wasted the massive amount of money the new facility cost; we would like $700 million (that number will triple before it’s done) to update the old facility before we move back in. Typical government waste. As far as an EMP attack goes though; no one is going to create a mega EMP. If we experience an EMP it will come from a nuclear blast. What country is going to commit suicide?
  6. I can’t help it; I read “You simply cannot beat them for quality. Period. End of story.” And J.D. Power was named as a source, so I decided to look. Someone at J.D. Power apparently didn’t get the memo.... Period, end of story. 7. Yes, check out J.D. Power... http://autos.jdpower.com/research/Truck.htm Chevy and Ford own the truck market.
  8. Good to see. When CCI is sitting on the shelves for more than a day; the .22 shortage is over. As more store shelves are populated the price will come back in line.
  9. Well, if she doesn’t have the proof for the charges she is bringing; she’s done as an SA. She would be doing what she is accusing the cops of doing and according to her that is criminal.

    Mossberg MVP LR

I bought an MVP in .223 when they first came out; but it’s not the LR. It’s a tack driver at 100 yards with a Nikon BuckMaster 6X18X40. I haven’t shot it any farther than that because I haven’t had it with me when I was at places where I could do so. I have a Remington 700 VLS in .308 for that. I sure wish mine had that picatinny rail. However, 1k? No way. I can put my MVP and VLS side by side and anyone could tell the difference in build quality and the feel of the action and the Remington was $850. Hanging a pillar bedded stock on $500 rifle doesn’t put it in the $1k category. If you are looking for a long range rifle (500+) I would stick with the proven performers like Remington 700 and Savage in .308.
  11. This is just a WAG, I have nothing to back this up, but I’m guessing the murder charge comes from a claim the driver intentionally brake checked or maneuvered to throw the guy around in the back. I can’t see any other reasoning that would support that charge. It appears to me she charged all of the Officers that were there. So she’s going to have a hard time proving that with no witnesses. The rest of the charges appear to stem from them not getting medical attention right then. From what I have read there were two Command Officers on the scene, a Lieutenant and a Sergeant that checked him at one point or another. One of them may be held responsible for not getting medical treatment; but not every cop that happened to be in the area. However, we have no idea what evidence she has. As I said before, she may be holding the results of very good thorough investigation. Otherwise she’s lost her mind. Apparently a Grand Jury isn’t required in Maryland, or was one convened and I missed it? This is the second person to die from a van ride in Baltimore. I would think that if failing to strap them in could rise to the level of criminal charges; the city would have invested in a van with seats and seatbelts after the first incident.
  12. I have never sold a VA, but I have tried (many years ago) to buy on a VA loan. They are pretty picky. I assume the offer is contingent on a VA inspection sometime after the offer expires? How can someone getting a VA loan offer more than the asking price? And why would they?
  13. Silverado of course.
  14. It stinks in there. Is it the building or do gun owners stink? I didn’t pay attention to the fact it left. I only live a few miles from there and went a few times. Like all others though I didn’t see any deals. I think gun shows are dead. Why should dealers drag all their guns to a gun show when they can sit in their shop and sell them just as easily?
  15. Spot on. And we (the people) did that. The vast majority of people that work aren’t out committing crimes. That’s why the first thing I want to know from a Politician is what ideas does he/she have to bring jobs and a better economy to this country. But I understand that they are limited in what they can do, it’s up to us and we have turned our back. Quit trying to figure out how you get more money for bigger jails and get a plan to get our manufacturing base back.
  16. The standard defense round for a .357 mag is 158 gr. JHP. What are you going to put in your 9mm that will compete with that? Velocity is only one factor; you must also apply surface area and mass. If you like the fact that a 9mm doesn’t recoil as much as .357mag and costs a lot less to shoot; that’s what you should use. If you want a powerful round; you can do that with the .357 LCR. If you want a round that’s easier for you to shoot; you can also do that with the .357 by shooting .38’s. The .357 LCR has more versatility, doesn’t use moon clips, and is more powerful; so it gets my vote.
  17. I watched the video of the States Attorney give her speech. I suspect the State Attorney General will step in and name a Special Prosecutor. She was on a soap box; not seeking justice. While everyone (including myself) was wondering why we weren’t hearing anything; apparently the investigators were doing their job and doing it well. Either that of the SA has lost her mind.
  18. What good would a BlueFire be without simulator? Or did he steal that also?
  19. I’ve been shooting 1911’s for over 45 years; you are going to have to explain to me the disadvantages of a stainless gun…. Of any type.
  20. I think Amazon stands behind the products they sell direct. If you found you had a fake I’m sure they would make it right. I don’t know about the ones sold on the Amazon site by other vendors.
  21. The first part of your statement is fact if you are looking at percentages as compared to the population. How much experience do you have as a Police Officer or working around them to come to your conclusion on the cause?
  22. I haven’t seen enough to make a WAG one way or the other; but I am sure he will come forward. I’m sure someone will pay him for an interview. I suspect he is just trying to protect himself until he gets out of jail. If he was looking for money or a way out of the charges he would be saying the cops did it; many would be more than willing to accept his story then.
  23. That should be an easy choice. Sounds like your dilemma is over.
  24. Tennessee is an “employment at will” state. If you have an employment contract you are bound by the terms of that contract. If you don’t; you are bound by whatever rules your employer puts in place. What does your employer say about you transferring your weapon to secure it in your vehicle? Because their opinion is the only one that matters. If the state of Tennessee wants to tell your employer you have a right to carry a gun; then the state would have to recognize that you have a right to carry a gun. That is not the case; it is a crime to carry a gun in this state. Please don’t take my comments as supporting what they are doing. I have a carry permit but it really upsets me that the state would think they have the authority to force this on employers just because our “special group” paid them money while others did not. That’s a thug government.
  25. She has some $200 cheese knives for you cheapskates. I’ve seen some people pay way more than that for a knife because of the knife maker’s name; and the named knife maker never laid his hands on it. She’s made a name for herself; so she gets the bucks. I think are ugly. But I also know the time involved in doing the way she does it. Apply an hourly rate to it and it runs the price up quick.
