  1. I think most manufacturing will stay with 7 also. It will be a while before the engineering software companies decide if they are okay with 10 or not. I’m using 10 on a machine at home and like it better than 8. Mostly it appears to be a fluff and buff, but I’m glad to see they are addressing IE with Edge. I’m not interested in a third party web browser. So far I haven’t had any lock-ups or any of the problems I seen complainants about. The price is right; so we will see how it shakes out.

  3. All the cool guys drive Chargers.
  4. All of our grandkids will probably be lucky to be able to own a home, let alone all the toys and comforts we have enjoyed over the years. I will however be able to look my grandchildren in the eye and explain to them how this happened and that I tried my very best to not be a part of it when they ask “How could you do this to us?” I hold out great hope though that the younger generations will see the mistakes of the generations before them that have turned their backs on their family, friends and county, and will bring this country back to where it belongs.
  5. I have an unmolested Inland with a CMP certificate I would have to think about selling for a grand. So I don’t see how a sporterized mixmaster could be worth much more than Greg stated.
  6. What kind of income will be unaffected by an economic collapse?

  8. I would guess being charged with a felony will cause you to chill.
  9. How will you pay that?
  10. I missed the boat on these. When they first came out they were being sold with a street price of just over $500 ($530 I think was what I saw). As they started to become popular the price crept up. I’ve never got to shoot one though. I have owned a lot of 1911’s and have settled on two for now. I have a stainless Ruger SR1911 that I think is the best choice based on price. At $659 for a Stainless 1911 that’s pretty hard to beat. I also have a stainless Smith & Wesson SW1911 Target; it’s my top pick, but it’s going to run over a grand. There are many good choices out there on 1911’s.
  11. GAS. I like that. Of course I won’t remember it because I also suffer from CRS.
  12. The guys that buy those badges aren't carrying concealed.

  14. That’s really sad; best of luck to you in finding a new job. I don’t understand how any company (no matter how big they are) would voluntarily take a hit like that over something so silly. To me, that shows that the highest people in the company have lost focus. Provided they know of course. Luckily I work for a company that doesn’t hate guns or gun owners. We had an occasion where something serious went down and the owner of the company asked me “You have a gun don’t you?” I replied “Yes, in my car.” He said “Please get it.”

I’m confused. I have a C&R FFL and they will ship to my door; it’s the address on my FFL.
  16. I don't know if its posted, but from their website: http://www.milb.com/content/page.jsp?ymd=20100201&content_id=8006318&sid=t556&vkey=team3
  17. I think he will try to give amnesty and the vote to all illegals.   Congress has the power to stop anything he does.   So that as he travels the country getting paid millions to speak; he can say he tried but Congress would not cooperate.
  18. Two totally different things; Constitutional Right vs. Privilege. Driving a car or carrying a gun off your property is a privilege. Owning a gun is a Constitutional Right. Sure they can pass whatever they like, but the courts can reject it. Obama has tried all kinds of gun legislation and hasn’t been able to get anything done yet. (Although I think he’ll try the Executive Order route before he leaves office)
  19. Don’t get regular WD40 anywhere around your guns; especially if they are going to sit for a while. M-Pro 7, CLP, Rem oil, Hoppes or any of the other proven performers will work fine. Especially if you clean and wipe down your guns every once in a while.

  21. Don’t these theaters have shareholders? With theaters already losing ground to the technology many of us have at home; I wouldn’t think they would be okay with searching customers. Most of us have to go through the airport; we don’t have to go to the movies.
  22. I have purchased an M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, and 03 Springfield from CMP. The prices have been fair; as a matter of fact they are much less than the gun resellers are selling them for. I have no reason to believe CMP would go crazy with the pricing on these; and a grand would be crazy. However, the Federal government selling handguns? I’ll believe it when I see it. I’d much rather see the CMP get the M-14’s. But the conversion would probably be cost prohibitive.
  23. With cops moving towards the problem and others moving away from the problem; that’s a safe bet.
  24. I own some of the best Smith & Wesson revolvers ever made and even carried them as a Police Officer; I love them, they are second to none. But there is no way I would consider any revolver for one second over my Full Size M&P 40 for a Security Duty Weapon. I have to assume he looking at them because they are cheap ($275 new). Nope, you can’t touch any of the big boys for anywhere near that. But if he just wants a cheap full size revolver I would suggest he save up another $55 and get the .357Mag model. He’ll get his money back quicker when he sells it.
  25. Is there a written company policy? Is the property posted? Do you have an employment contract?
