I’ve thought about trying to start a collection to have at least 1 live round of every different round made. I’m sure that would be in the hundreds if not over a thousand. Getting some of the rounds not in production anymore could be tough. But has anyone started it; or done it?

I don’t pocket carry, but when I wanted a Micro gun that was available in .40S&W I looked at them all and ended up with a Kahr MK40. I also now have a Shield 40. It’s a little taller and longer, but its thinner and cost much less. There is a lot going on with micro guns, you aren't limited to .380 anymore.
-
The Kahr CM40 is very close to that size, but you can get it in .40S&W.

I know it’s BS but, a Federal Carry Permit has been talked about by a lot of pro-gun folks. I do not want the Feds involved in carry laws and nothing good could come from it. But I don’t think we have to worry about it, we don’t have a Federal Driver’s License because the states can’t agree on vehicle and traffic laws, I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t agree on carry laws.

I’m confused? Buds has them in stock for $580 in .44 Mag. They don’t have .357 in stock, but the last price was $524.

You read the law that exempted handguns from the case length provision? .308 is illegal to hunt with in Indiana; the case is too long.

Knoxville Allowing Fair to Prohibit Guns in a Park

Both of the sections that apply seem clear; but not to the city. -

I would want to talk to my own attorney before doing that. I’m not sure they would be required to rule on the validity of this law to convict you for trespass if you refused to leave. -

My guess would be if they are claiming the property isn’t covered as a park; they will have signs up and use 39-17-1359 to stop and warn you; then give you a trespass warning. I doubt they will be arresting anyone unless someone decides to be a test dummy and refuses to leave. -
You don’t have to use an ATM or a reader, they have devices that can read them by walking past you. I don’t use a debit card; I use MasterCard for everything. If there is a dispute and they can’t show me my signature; I’m not responsible.

A trailer plate costs $200?
-
I bet border control works as well for them as it does for us.
-
I have an 8X12 Low hauler motorcycle trailer that doesn’t have a plate. I’ve pulled it all over the country for the last 15 years and have never been stopped. But I understand I could be stopped. At 8 feet wide they can’t see the plate on the back of my tow vehicle except momentarily as they pass me, and of course I don’t have one on the front. I figure if I get stopped I’ll explain my state doesn’t require one and move on. But I have seen comments that some states require a plate on out of state vehicles; I don’t know if that’s true or not. I’ve thought about putting a plate on it because I haul a lot of guns when I go to Illinois to shoot, but haven’t got around to it. It’s not required by the state of Tennessee and they don’t address other states, you would have to check each individual state.

Knoxville Allowing Fair to Prohibit Guns in a Park

This is the fault of the legislature. This is 2015 there is no excuse for our legislators to not be able to write laws that are clear. They had to know they were going to get push back on this. Oh well, it will keep the attorneys busy. -
Has anyone shot the .45? At 13oz that should be an experience. From the specs this appears to be about the same size as a Kahr PM9 except thinner.

Knoxville Allowing Fair to Prohibit Guns in a Park
DaveTN replied to Just2Honor's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Good question. I say that because this is a question I have asked more than once about the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act. The law says manufacturers in Tennessee can manufacture and sell guns or suppressors to Tennessee residents with no interference from the Feds. But the Feds say they will put them in jail if they do. Manufacturers and dealers can’t risk their business and FFL’s to find out; citizens can’t risk their freedom to find out. The AG’s opinion is a dog with no teeth; so this (Parks issue) will have to be decided in court. I don’t understand why someone would have to be arrested to test this law. It’s a risk to the citizen and a risk to the city and Police Department that does it. No one was arrested in the Heller case and it went to the SCOTUS. -
I have never own Glock and wouldn’t, but I have shot many of them. I have owned several M&P’s and right now have the Full-size 40, Compact 40, Shield 40, 15T and 15-22. As a Toolmaker I look at fit and finish as well as accuracy. The fit and finish of M&P is better than a Glock, with different palm swells it covers a wider range of hands, grip angle is better for most. Accuracy? They are close enough that once you go there it is going be the shooter, not the firearm that makes that determination. Should you need to use it, Smith & Wesson customer support is second to none in the industry, and you get a lifetime service warranty. It’s just icing on the cake the M&P 9/40 is completely made in America by Americans. What’s not to like?

One cop testifying another cop is lying in a criminal trial? In the real world that would be called “reasonable doubt”. The court would either dismiss the case or disregard both Officers testimony entirely and go with the evidence on its own. In the internet world anything could happen.
-
Where? And what is a “tested witness”?
-
What did you do about it?
-
I have seen cops reprimanded, suspended, fired, arrested and convicted. If a cop violated department policy; you have recourse. If they violated your rights; you have recourse. If they committed a criminal act against you; you have recourse. If you have a case against a cop; you don’t need any money to make a complaint with their department and attorneys will jump on a rights/criminal case. So what experience do you base your statements on? Is this “General rule” that “they” believe a cop is telling the truth a Cleveland, TN thing, because it’s not what I have seen in cases as a Police Officer. Fortunately a Police Officer has the same rights as any other citizen in court. However, in many cases when they are not convicted; they still lose their job. Most other citizens go back to work when their cases are over. This isn’t a personal attack on you, but it adds to the hate of Police Officers when people see this non-sense posted and think its true. Certainly you have recourse; if anything the deck is stacked on your side, not the cops.

This story has been here before, but I’m going to share this story published today. Lt. Heather Penney and Col. Marc Sasseville deserve to have this story told. Thankfully they didn’t have to complete their mission, but they were prepared to do the unthinkable to protect “The People”. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/f-16-pilot-was-ready-to-give-her-life-on-sept-11/ar-AAebKjD?ocid=spartandhp

Don’t let the insurance stop you. I don’t know how many times I have heard “Don’t say anything to the cops until you talk to a lawyer!” That’s only good advice if you can talk a lawyer right then. I would bet most people throwing out that “advise” can’t do that. You could have them hand you a phone and say “Call him”. If you have to shoot someone strangers standing around you will start making decisions about you that will impact you and your family. They will make those decisions based on the information they have. I can’t see me in a situation where I would need a lawyer in a shooting, but it’s possible. I will have those people on my side and I will be involved in the decision making process of what’s about to happen. If you feel that strongly about staying out of jail or covering yourself financially; be prepared to make that call when they hand you a phone. Decide who you want and see what they will charge to meet with you. Then you will be better prepared for the situation you are concerned about. While you are talking with them you can ask them about this company you have questions about and this type of insurance in general.
