Compare the cost of modifications you want to the cost of a factory model that has all the bells and whistles; like the M&P15T. And get rid of that hideous A2 front sight. Are you going to use an optic or open sights?
-
We know that, but he was a noob standing in a gun store. He balked at $60 handguards; they couldn’t get him out of the store fast enough.
-
The M&P Sport doesn’t have quad rails (handguards); they are just plain. Quality Free float handguards that have rails are not cheap. $60 is cheap; what were they going to put on? This is the type tool they are talking about...

No. It’s Okay to occasionally dry fire a handgun if you need to check out a trigger or something. But steadily dry firing is not good for it; unless it was designed to do that. (None I know of yet, but I’m sure it will come) The components of the trigger group are not designed to be slammed together; they are designed to impact a soft brass primer You won’t have any problems…. Until you do. Probably a total failure you will not be able to recover from without repairs. No, once the primer is dented it no longer absorbs the impact. Yes, they are called snap caps. I have them in all the calibers I have and use them if I need to dry fire (usually working on a gun). Dry firing may or may not help you; it depends on what your problem is. If you are anticipating the gun firing; it won’t help as your brain is smart enough to know whether you are going to feel recoil or not.

For years Glock fought the “Don’t dry fire” mindset. It was for marketing reasons. They knew Tactical Tommy wanted to dry fire his handgun for hours on end at the TV set; so they said it was okay. I talked with a factory gunsmith for another manufacturer about the issue. He said they were following suit and saying you could dry fire, and if you broke your gun they would fix it. That’s how marketing works. I notice that Glock has now added the following statement to their FAQ’s. Those of us that are familiar with machining and metallurgy have known this for decades. And we have been okay with it. It seems some of the younger generation wants what they want and as long as they can find some one that will tell them it okay; they are good to go. Maybe with this problem they will come up with a handgun that is actually designed around dry firing. For Glock to change their policy and put that on their website should tell those of you that like to dry fire something. Or not...... continue on.

If you don't know what it is, write a story that it impacts the weather, is a secret weapon, or collects data; that is sure to get published....somewhere.

Is a bent buffer spring a big deal?

That’s exactly what should have happened; good for them. Isn’t their owner or one of their people a poster here? -
Until you get some experience go with the big names and stay away from the other stuff. Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Colt, DPMS and Bushmaster are some of the top names. If you are looking for .223; you can stay Mil-Spec and your options are pretty much unlimited. In .308 that is not an option; they are all over the places and there is little compatibility in options. Once you get a rifle and start having questions; right here is the place to get the answers. Welcome to the world of Evil Black Riles (EBR).

What a load of ... I guess that means I have the "obvious problem", huh? -
I want to try some of this. Has anyone seen this in stores in the MidState? For those that have tried it; what did you think of it? http://www.winchester.com/Products/shotshell-ammunition/Advanced/AA-TrAAcker/Pages/default.aspx

I don’t condone violence or the threat of violence. Dad should have used some common sense on this one. Or maybe they got exactly what they wanted; who knows

Sweet! Is that from GunSkin?

Glad to help. I too try to buy local, but they just haven’t seemed to have the stuff I have wanted the last few years. I just scored a hard to find shotgun at Buds on Saturday; just got an email that it will be at my FFL’s tomorrow. They have been a good option for me lately.

If you are shopping new, the prices seem to the same most everywhere. I ordered my Extang Tonno from Realtruck.com. They had free shipping and $50 rebate; it was delivered FedEx in four days.

I haven’t used a Patriot, but I have an MVP. The MVP is pretty nice. It’s not nearly as nice as my 700 VLS, but it’s near the cost either.

I can’t believe they are clapping. That’s disgusting.

I hope video taken by BLM is used to put the shooters in prison. Did the test dummy get destroyed? Because I know a real person would not stand in traffic like that and then be surprised they got ran over? Had to be a test dummy.

The last time I ordered from Buds I got my shipping notice the day after my FFL had the gun. I have ordered from them several times. 3-4 days is all mine have been. Although I have heard of others taking longer. I assumed mine was so fast because we are so close.

When we have a finding in an audit; we have to submit in writing what we will do to make sure the discrepancy doesn’t happen again, and a time line for our fix to be implemented. I would guess the BATF has to do the same thing; otherwise an audit would be pointless. I wonder how they decided to fix the problem. Don’t have any more audits? In all seriousness though; there has to be a “Rest of the story”.

Kentucky man fatally shot by officer during explosive device investigation

That’s kinda what I was wondering? But then it is Kentucky. -
Does Radio Shack still carry that kind of stuff or are they just phone stores now?

Are pot growers brains cooked so much that they think killing people with IED’s will protect them and their plants? -
Tennessee has a formal reciprocity agreement with Florida, but Tennessee recognizes all state carry permits. In case you want to read the info.... https://www.tn.gov/safety/article/hgreciprocity

What’s scary is that those are numbered 1,3,10. That means they have at least 7 more guns. Good grief man, how many guns can a family possibly need?
