  1. As soon as you tie your right to carry to the United States Constitution; you lose. To believe that you need to believe three things: 1. That the Federal government controls the safety of citizens even though they are not responsible for local law enforcement. 2. That the SCOTUS will someday proclaim that everyone in the country can strap on a gun and walk down the street. 3. That States Rights do not exist. They don’t, doubtful, they do. The state needs to step up first.
  2. TBI would probably like nothing better than to be able to keep records. My understanding is (although I haven’t checked) it’s illegal. They should HAVE to explain to him why he is being denied. But they don’t.
  3. So one guy is cranking rounds into the air, the other guy came back and starts cranking rounds into the truck. They are afraid to shoot each other, but are okay with making it pretty dangerous for anyone else in the area. Jeeze Of course the real problem here is that the driver couldn’t shoot someone burglarizing his truck. But he could have when he came back with the gun.

  5. Any gun by any manufacturer can have problems. In the over a hundred S&W I have owned I have sent back 2. I go direct with S&W. In both cases they emailed me a shipping label, fixed the problem and returned the gun to me. I don’t really have time to wait on the phone during the hours they are open, and in both cases I never talked with anyone; it was handled through email. I have an issue with them right now and was not happy with CS. I wrote a letter and the day they received it I got a phone call. I think the issue will be taken care of; we will see. Nothing against your dealer, but if you are not happy with them; contact them directly. They do try to fix the problems. Just as any manufacturer can have a gun with problems, any of them can have a CS person that isn’t doing a good job. That just happened to me. Good luck, and let us know how it works out for you.
  6. Then I would use the 30-06. Then distance and whether or not the round can kill is not even an issue. 50 or 300 yards; you do your part and it doesn’t matter. I can’t imagine being able to get within 50 yards of a Coyote that knows you are there; but if you can pull that off most anything would work. Good luck.

  8. Why? The M4A1 does it all. Or...maybe not.
  9. Application driven. If I had a choice I would leave mine on 3 round unless I had a need for full auto.
  10. I don’t know anything about trusts of NFA. But you can loan it to her for lawful sporting purposes and if something happens to you, and you want her to have it, you can will it to her. I’m not sure what the advantage of having it in a trust would be. Does it cost you to do that?
  11. EBT and minimum wage have zero impact on your company. If you can’t keep employees it’s because your company isn’t paying enough or it’s a messed up place to work. Minimum wage is an attempt to keep the have nots from killing and eating the haves. Not many (if any) manufacturing companies pay minimum wage; those that do, do it because they are hiring illegals. Minimum wage is for fast foods and kid’s temporary jobs that are going to have a high turnover no matter what they do as their employees move into something else.
  12. I replied with... I wonder what kind of entertainment this will offer?
  13. If I pick “ownership” and “content I have posted in”; nothing happens. I have to right click and pick “open in a new tab” or “open in a new window” to get it to work. I’ve cleared the cache. It does this in Widows 10 with EDGE or CHROME, and on a Windows 7 machine. It’s happened since the last upgrade.
  14. It’s ridiculous that this is getting to be the norm. I noticed that the faceplate on my Hero 4 Silver was broken. After checking it appears this is a common issue. Mine has only been used a few times and I keep it in the waterproof case to protect the camera when I’m not using it that is stored in a camera case. No big deal I figured I would email GoPro and they would send me a new face plate or offer me one at cost. Well I get an email from them asking for a picture, serial number, how long I had it, how much I use it, etc. They wanted that information emailed and also had a link to go on-line and put in my contact information. Okay, sounds like a hassle, but I’ll play along. Then I get the email posted below from them. I had to laugh out loud. I didn’t want the camera replaced. I wanted a new faceplate. How much can a tiny faceplate cost… $2, $5? Then at first I thought they were offering me a 20% or 40% discount on a new camera, which was bad enough. But oh no, they also wanted my camera. Sometimes you just have to laugh. What a bunch of losers. No more GoPro stuff for me.
  15. That’s my understanding of it. Besides the safety issue; it can also cause issues with today’s sensitive electronic equipment.
  16. You are welcome. I’ve been through this myself. The TBI was pretty much worthless, saying they couldn’t give me any specific information and even though the denials were overturned they can’t keep records. Believe it or not the BATF was who helped me. They told me exactly what was going on and how to fix it.
  17. I don't think your credit has anything to do with it. Here is a link to some FAQ's about it. There is a phone number at the bottom of the page. https://tn.gov/tbi/article/firearm-background-checks-faqs
  18. I’m no electrician, so maybe someone here that is can answer this, but I believe, yes, they need to be isolated at a sub panel.
  19. The two common reasons (besides the obvious) is an arrest that doesn’t show a disposition, or an identity problem. Did you use your social security number? If you have never been arrested it almost has to be an identity issue. A few of us here have been through this. It’s hard to get information from TBI, but that is who will have to address your concerns.
  20. This what your page looks like to me, only cropped....
  21. I have never owned a cross bow, but I have owned recurves and compounds. I don’t hunt but the let off of a compound is going to let you “hold” for that perfect shot longer. That recurve is going to make you want to let it go. You might want to try all three types before making a purchase. Maybe someone close to you can help you out. It’s been a few years since I was involved so I don’t know what the pricing is. There are some good archery forums and there is also a good one here in Tennessee. My last bow was made by High Country Archery made in your city; might want to check them out...since you are close. Good luck with your new interest.
  22. Speculate and arm chair quarterback is what we do. I’m usually hesitant to start making allegations when we don’t have all the info; but I don’t think we are lacking much here. No one was shot or killed so I doubt we will hear much more about it until someone posts the outcome of their charges on a gun forum. Not many will really care though because not many of us would be in that situation. The info is not limited; the reckless perps supplied us with evidence of how they were dressed and what they were carrying. They also supplied us with the audio of the Officers reaction and them being arrested. One was charged with breach of peace, masks/disguises while parading, and failure to cooperate during booking proceedings. The other was charged with charged with breach of peace, failure to obey police officer’s direction or order, and resisting an officer’s demands. I’m sure they will get their day in court to answer the charges and explain why they did something so reckless. They were idiots; it’s the overwhelming conclusion held most. You are correct though that determination is an easy one to make.
  23. what kind of BMG? Our CAD guy just wants an idea of what’s involved.
  24. And there we have it.....
