  1. My recommendation would be the Protech Magic Whiskers.
  2. The ISP is manned by American and Russians (among others). Why would he kill it when certain death for him and his regime would follow? He isn’t going to launch a nuke at anyone.
  3. A thumb break on a leather holster! Sweet…
  4. I think some of them have as hard a time keeping up with state knife laws as some do with gun laws. I have ordered several auto knives from Blade HQ without a hitch. Last time I had a coupon code from Optics Planet that would have saved me $20. A couple of days after placing the order I still hadn’t received an order confirmation so I contacted CS. They gave me some nonsense about they sent me an email with a link in it that I needed to answer about auto-knifes. It pizzed me off because I never received the email, so I just cancelled the order. I figured I would check out knife center because they were closer. They had a statement when I tried to order where you had to pick if you were a LEO, Federal employee or some other nonsense. None of the choices were just for a citizen that lives in a state where they are legal. So I’ve just stuck with Blade HQ, I don’t guess four days is too bad. But you would think MFG’s would know the various state laws.
  5. I find it amusing how the press spins this. Most of the stories lead with “China shuts down..” while only one leads with “North Korea shuts down…”. So has NK simply shut the bridge down while they do repairs on their side? Or is this some action by China to impact trade/travel with NK?
  6. Our Missile Defense System certainly does cover the east coast. The only people wanting to add east coast sites are the politicians that would get billions of dollars pouring into their states economies. Neither the Pentagon nor the Missile Defense Agency want or see the need for those sites. They want to spend the money on improving the technology of what we already have and the amount of missiles. If you aren’t sure you could take out ICBM’s it doesn’t make sense to spend more money on sites instead of improving what you have.
  7. We can’t kill a missile on its way up. We could probably kill it on its way down if we had missile defense downrange ready. But the risk of failure or damage to innocents is great. If we attempt to shoot down a missile and miss; we have a problem. The Chinese and the Russians would probably like to see our attempts at shooting down a missile. Being able to shoot down missiles isn’t what stops aggressors from shooting at us. The knowledge that even if their missiles hit their mark we are going to kill them is what stops them.
  8. I feel so sorry for the family of this young woman. I can just imagine the hate and disappointment they must feel after having been let down by our legal system. This man was deported five times and the city of San Francisco let him go again. He committed murder and got away with it. I’m not a fan of double jeopardy, but it has been done before and this is a case that warrants it. It sounds like the Feds may be stepping in and doing just that. Hopefully the family will get the maximum allowed by law in the wrongful death case against the city and the Feds.
  9. Thanks. Buds sends me a tracking number when they ship so I know when its delivered. Last time I saw it was delivered in the morning and figured I would call in the afternoon to see if they had it checked in. But they called 15 minutes after it was delivered and said I could come and get it. Do you know how long they took to get it to your FFL?
  10. I have never ordered from Grab a Gun, but they have a gun I want that is quite a bit less than Buds. Buds usually has the gun to my dealer in 4 or 5 days. Is Grab a Gun quick shipping? Thanks for any info.
  11. This. I don’t believe the UN or anyone else can tell a country they can’t have the weapons needed to defend themselves. Unless that authority is ready and willing to protect them. Japan is second only to the United States in financial contributions to the UN. Yet the UN stands by as North Korea fire their missiles towards Japan. Japan is already talking about changing its Constitution that won’t allow them to have a standing military or engaging in war. Their two main reasons are North Korea and China. While we would certainly support them in actions against North Korea, we could find ourselves in a dilemma with China. I feel the same way about this that I do with our citizens having the right the keep and bear arms; if they commit a crime you deal with it then, you don’t ban it because someone may commit a crime. MAD has been what has kept the world from nuclear holocaust for the last 70 years and remains so today. It is what would keep the North Koreans from launching at us. Once they launch; they will surely die, and we don’t need to use nukes to do it. They know that. However… when you start throwing missiles, armed or not, at other countries, or you start conducting nuclear tests that could impact other countries; you have crossed the line. Think how the people of Japan must feel. I (and I think most other Americans) have no problem with the total devastation of North Korea. But we have to figure out a way to do it without killing our troops and millions of citizens in South Korea. It’s not worth 25K U.S. troop’s lives. NK is not an immediate threat to us.
  12. We aren’t worried about his missiles getting here; we are worried about his artillery. He isn’t launching armed ballistic missiles. He’s thumbing his nose at us telling him he can’t have nukes. That doesn’t justify starting a war that will surely kill thousands of American Troops and possibly millions of South Koreans. If they figure out a way to take out his artillery without him being able to use it; our government would probably do it. But that probably won’t happen. We can’t, and won’t nuke them; even if they launched a nuke. We don’t need to. It’s 500 miles from Beijing to Pyongyang; nukes are out of the question. I still hold out hope the North Korean people will kill him and his top guys. We are being challenged all over the globe. We can’t start wars because countries disrespect us.
  13. I’m looking for 243 ammo. The price of Sellier & Bellot is pretty low. Is it any good for range use?
  14. I want a long LOP (Stock out as far as I can get it) and the scope mounted as low as I can get it. I need to replace my charging handles.
  15. Do you want a waist bag, shoulder strap or back pack? What do you want to carry? At $200 that “active shooter bag” better come packed with Pmags and medical supplies.
  16. The SCOTUS has made it clear they will give a lot of discretion to the states on how and where guns are carried. They have also made it clear that arguing an AR isn’t an assault weapon doesn’t hold water. We need to remain focused on our state laws. Expanding Federal gun laws is a terrible idea.
  17. Whether it be Remington, Savage, Winchester or whoever; we are the winners. They all have lines from the entry level priced rifles to those costing thousands. I don’t want to see any of the choices go by the wayside. It’s up to the shooter to do their homework and determine what is the best choice for their budget. All we can do as owners is give our opinions based on what we have, and what we have owned. The difference between two shooters abilities will almost certainly always be greater than the difference between two rifles.
  18. 2” at 1000 yards is amazing; congratulations. Is that stock aluminum? Did you make it?
  19. Some of these gun companies need to cut distributors and ship directly to FFL’s. Distributors add no value to retail customers. This is the IT age; we should be able to order directly from the manufacturer’s website and have them delivered to our FFL. Local dealers would also be able to order guns for us and be able to give us a date instead of being at the mercy of a distributor.
  20. Did you tell your Comcast lady that? I would guess Xfinity could add 100 Mbps internet to your TV package for about half that. It has a TB monthly limit; not like you or any of the rest of us would hit that.
  21. Here’s my opinion on Comcast… for what it’s worth. I see people complaining about speeds and outages. I don’t have those problems. Mine is rock solid. Cost: Comcast is the highest there is. Thank you government intervention in the cable industry. But they offer more than any of their competition. If you get it now you will probably get X1. Ask if that is what they are quoting you. With X1 most of the hardware problems you can handle from the box. (Troubleshooting and fixes in the menu; resets, etc.) I had to call them once; they fixed the problem with remote access. I haven’t had Comcast to my house in years. They have self-install kits and I have gone that route. I had some issues with the X1 install; but they quickly fixed them remotely. Anytime I have called I have talked with people in the states. I had one incident over them billing me $20 more than we agreed to. I had the CS person escalate the call to a supervisor. He was a real azzhat and when I asked to speak to his supervisor he said “I am as high as you will be going.” I got it taken care of, but it took an email to the CS staff. My experience with them is the same as with many companies; you will get people that are on the ball, fix the problem, and help in any way they can, and you may get a person that you wonder how they find their way to work in the morning. As soon as your contract period is up you will get a whopping big azz bill; you have to call them and renegotiate. As a new customer you should be able to get a pretty good deal. Comcast (like many companies) cares more about getting new business than taking care of the people that have stuck with them for years. It just all depends on what you want. I watch a lot of TV and I want to watch it when it is convenient for me. I also want fast internet and Wi-Fi without interruptions. I pay the higher price because Comcast gives me that. I would say check it out for a trial period. I doubt you will find anyone that has more features and speed than Comcast. I also doubt you can find anyone that charges more.
  22. I’m a Veteran, so I already quit watching. This just make its more obvious how out of touch Goodell is.
  23. Maybe not in handguns or AR’s; but they own the Bolt Action Rifle and Shotgun market. They may not be the only one in those markets but they are so far ahead of the competition, the competition can’t see their taillights. I would think they could survive on that alone. When you add in DPMS and Bushmaster I would say they are pretty relevant.
  24. Remington spent a lot of money in capital improvements and new facilities. Expansion at Ilion, Madison NC, facilities at Huntsville, AL, Mayfield, KY, Lonoke, AR. That’s risky depending on the market. I hope things work out for them; we can’t afford to lose any American gun makers.
  25. While liberal Judges may give them a break on their Drug charges, Robberies, Burglaries and Thefts; they will put them in jail/prison for a Felon in Possession. If they are a convicted felon that is armed while committing a dangerous felony; pre-trial diversion and probation is off the table and mandatory sentencing kicks in. But yes; they won’t care. Pops and Grandpa was in prison and they are going. It’s just a matter of when and for how long. That’s how it is with thugs. The YouTube video will be seen by cops that know them on sight and it’s just a matter of time until they take them down. Thank you YouTube.
