  1. It kind of looks like they still make the carbon steel knives and the stainless stuff is a different product line outsourced to whomever. http://ontarioknife.com/cutlery/old-hickoryr.html

I sold cars for a year prior to everything being on the net. So I’m sure it’s very different today. Good luck. The only advice I can give pertains to what happened with me the last few new cars. I buy vehicles the same way I buy guns; I do my research online, know what I want, and know what they cost. At that point I’m just looking for who has it, and the lowest price. I don’t want to go “looking” I want to go “buying”. The last one I emailed all the MidState dealers with the specific requirements I had. Most replied with a canned “Come on down!” reply, only two responded with specific information on what I told them I wanted. I went to see both. One lied to me about price; the other made the sale. The one that made the sale had an “Internet sales” person that didn’t try to hide pricing or tell me I had to come in to get a price. What an easy way to Buy/Sell a car. Don’t overlook the folks that use the email option on the website.

    Nothing at Beretta?
  4. No need to tighten the requirements; open Arlington II. Nothing says it has to be at the same place.
  5. I’m with Ronald; I would need to have a real world reason for adding another caliber. No need for another designer round. .308 is a proven performer at 1000 yards. I don’t think the fact you can put the upper on an AR-15 lower will make it a hit; but we will see.
  6. In a modern pump rifle the Remington 7615 Police in .223 is available.
  7. In 2007 S&W purchased Thompson Center, in 2010 S&W closed the Thompson Center facility and moved everything to Springfield. So my WAG is that if you needed something there would be someone available.
  8. I haven’t shot one, but it appears to be a decent deal for an American Made bolt action. Here is an article on how it came about, a review and a range test. https://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2016/9/7/thompsoncenter-compass-rifle-review/ https://grabagun.com/thompson-center-center-10058-compass-bolt-rifle-30-06.html You might also want to compare the accuracies of the Ruger American. At $289 it appears to be a pretty good deal. https://grabagun.com/ruger-american-rif-3006-bl-sy-22.html
  9. So I don't guess employees will be able to protect themselves. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/04/03/gunshots-reported-at-youtube-headquarters-in-california.html
  10. This bothers me more than seeing bump stocks banned or the age raised. Every American manufacturer we lose puts use closer to guns being unavailable, extremely expensive or just plain junk. I hope Remington can recover.
  11. It’s not getting any closer. If you look at the requirements to repeal the 2nd amendment; they could never be met. That’s why the liberals haven’t tried. Gun control by the individual states is the closest they will ever get; and that could happen. But they still have to be reasonable restrictions.
  12. I have a Haulmark Low Hauler. Mines a motorcycle trailer not a V-nose, but they make one. Mines a 8x12 dual axel that I’ve had for 20 years with no issues. When I bought mine everyone around here had the price jacked up because they were hard to find other than at the motorcycle shops that had the price really jacked up. I was going to Illinois anyway, so I went to a place right outside Haulmark in Indiana and picked mine up. It saved me $1000. A trip to Florida is also an option if you want to save some money. Funny story. I recently wanted a small trailer. My low Hauler is nice but it’s big when only hauling one bike. I was looking for a 5x8 with a ramp. I went to a large trailer dealer in the MidState. I told them what I wanted and the salesman took me out on the lot in a Golf Cart. He showed me a trailer that had a pretty big price tag for a 5x8. I ask if he had anything else. He said “Are you looking for something that costs less?” I said yes, or a better price on that one. He said Okay and motioned me to get in the cart. He went back to the office got out of the cart, thanked me for stopping by and walked back inside. That would have pizzed a lot of people off, but I couldn’t do anything but laugh and leave. I guess he didn’t need to negotiate on price and was offended I would suggest it. I ended up buying used. http://haulmark.com/trailers/motorcycle-trailers/aluminum-motorcycle
  13. And probably will when something happens to bring attention to it. I bought a pistol lower and a complete pistol upper that’s not a SBR according to the ridiculous ruling of an ATF agent. If I have to get rid of it or break it up I will, I’m not going to pay NFA taxes; but it won’t be a complete loss.
  14. I started this discussion at work the other day, so I thought I would continue it here. I haven’t played games in years, but I thought I might get a game console because my 12 year old grandson is into that, and it’s something we could do together when I am there or online when I’m home. (He has a PS4 and is in another state) The young folks at work seem to be split down the middle between PS4 and X Box. But they say I may be able to play online games with either. At first glance I kind of figured X box was the way to go because…. Well it’s Microsoft. But then I found out my Grandson has a PS4. My console would be used on a 70” TV (not 4K), 175 Mbps down, 23 Mbps up internet speed. I would want two controllers. I probably want to play flight games, so I would want to add a flight stick later. I’m a technology junkie. So $800 for an X Box One with two Elite controllers….ouch? Or around $500 for a PlayStation 4 Pro Console with two Dualshock Wireless Controllers?? I’m not concerned about the price as much as I am with getting the best price on the most advanced technology at the time. Which begs the question when is the next gen of these systems due out? What’s the opinion of the TGO gamers???
  15. MGM is the deep pockets and the only one with enough money for the low life attorney’s taking these cases to go after. MGM and their employees will be the 2nd round of victims in this case. I don’t mean to imply that the living victims and the families of the deceased didn’t experience a horrific attack. But MGM didn’t cause it and shouldn’t have to defend themselves and try to protect their employees simply because some attorney’s want a payday. I hope MGM has the resources to financially destroy the attorney’s that are attempting this sham.
  16. Memphis works for me.
  17. There is no such thing as a “Gun Show Loophole”. That is the anti-gunners name for a private sale. Whether it be at a gun show, off a forum, or walking down the street the seller can ask for ID and a bill of sale. Nothing ever requires a seller to not ask to see ID and nothing ever releases them from the responsibility to abide by both state and federal laws.
  18. If new gun sales stop, or are heavily impacted; you won’t be able to afford to buy a used gun.
  19. This So its really just smoke and mirrors. I felt sorry for some of the companies that get caught up in the gun debate. But when they bring it on themselves; they get what they deserve. Unfortunately unless some major businesses step up (unlikely) gun owners won’t stick together enough to have any financial impact. I can’t think of any circumstances where a business would sell a firearm without a background check, Bumpstocks are a non-issue, so this is about 21 year old age requirement and high capacity magazines. So if their cards can still be used for these items; how is this going to impact anything? Citi Group is the world's largest credit card issuer. Is Citi Bank going to cut ties with credit card companies that deal with gun companies/vendors like Visa and MasterCard? Visa has the NRA and Academy Sports credit cards, Bass Pro is MasterCard. (Just a couple of quick checks; I'm sure there are plenty more)
  20. You can’t do whatever you want and call it a 1st amendment right. It’s good to see the kids involved; this may be a learning experience for them. I could not care less if the kids want to protest my right to have a gun; it will have zero impact. But I find it despicable that adults would use the kids for this agenda.
  21. Wow. I’ve been in active shooter situations while I was armed; I imagine that unarmed is pretty scary. Normally I don’t worry too much about postings. The chance of me being detected is slim, the chance of me being cited is even less. But I wouldn’t do it at a school; the risk is too high. If making arrangements not to go back is an option that’s the one I would choose. Was the guy cranking off rounds in the parking lot arrested? Scaring his girlfriend by firing rounds? I don’t care how drunk or how mad he was; He needs to do prison time.
  22. I’d leave that EOTech on the Carbine and use that $150 to put a 3-9x40 Leupold American Marksman on the AR. Then you can reach out much easier.
  23. Good for you! I’d certainly like to have a Geissele. And free would be great.
  24. Do you play well enough to justify a $3K guitar? If you do post up a YouTube Video so we can see.
