  2. I'm really confused now. So they are saying the sales violated state or Federal laws? https://www.foxbusiness.com/features/credit-service-intuit-addresses-refusal-to-process-gun-purchases
  3. That fair. I figured he would be charged. The FBI is taking longer than most Police Departments would to terminate him with the evidence they have; but that’s what they do.
  4. I’m not up on civil law at all and don’t pretend to be, I also am not sure how they are doing what they are doing. (Are they refunding payment after the order is accepted, or are they refusing the order when it’s placed?) But it seems to me if an order was accepted and payment made, and then they refunded the payment to the buyer; they would have some liability if there were any problems. But thats just a WAG.
  5. So… businesses that use Intuit software (Quickbooks) had payments from customers kicked back to the customer’s credit card company after a sale had been made?
  6. This is what happens when you have a monopoly. Let’s be honest; there is no viable alternative to Google or YouTube. There may be someday; but there isn’t today. Some Google employees want Google to pull out of the Drone program. I doubt that will happen, but if it does I wonder how much money they government has already paid them. I’m surprised they could get 5K signatures that want to turn their backs on the security of our troops. But I don’t guess that should surprise me; some low lifes don’t care about anyone but themselves. These liberal snowflakes don’t seem to be paying attention to what is going on around them. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/military/google-halt-controversial-project-aiding-pentagon-drones-n879471
  7. I became a Police Officer in the city I was raised in. I thought I knew the city and the people in it; I was naive. One of the most surprising things I learned from being a Police Officer was just how mean some people can be, and that thugs (and drunks) don’t care about authority, guns, or jail. I have been attacked while in full uniform carrying a gun, mace, and baton; it didn’t matter to some people. We didn’t have a lot of gang bangers when I was a cop and they weren’t the ruthless thugs they are today. That is why I don’t open carry and try not to print. Another reason is that I don’t want to have to worry about interrogating the entrance of a building looking for signs. I also don’t want to be the guy walking into an armed robbery and identified as a threat. However, I think most people have made up their mind of the issue. Some of those new to carry are looking for advice though and it’s good to discuss this issue every once in awhile. Open carry or printing can be a bad tactical decision depending on where you are. Open carry for political reason is just well.... a political argument. BTW... when I was young with a big chest and a thin waistline concealing was very easy. I could conceal a 6” Revolver or a full size 1911 with ease. When you get older and the chest and waist start moving towards the same size; it gets much harder.

  9. Everyone will be named in the lawsuit. The FBI (us, the taxpayers) will be the deep pockets. But if I’m not mistaken the government has limits of liability.
  10. Did you check out the "U-Box" at U-Haul? Internal Dimensions: 95" x 56" x 83.5" (LxWxH) Looks to me like you can rent one for $70 and keep it for 30 days.
  11. When asked about Murfreesboro I tell people it’s a good place except for the traffic. I think the city figures since they bought these traffic lights they are going to make you stop at every single one of them. The city has outgrown its ability to move traffic; but a lot could be done with light timing. I’m pretty sure they don’t have anyone doing that.
  12. That’s how it works. As I said I suspect this agent will be judged, and it will be determined he acted recklessly. Will he charged criminally? I don’t know, I can only give my opinion on what I would do if I was the DA. This was not an accident or negligent; it was reckless. A person was shot. I would charge him criminally.
  13. I don’t think he will be transferred; I would bet he’s fired. Rightfully so. The majority of these men and women are professionals. The FBI has very high standards and needs incentives to get the best. Plenty of companies still have pensions; nothing wrong with that. There are plenty of instances of carry permit holders doing stupid stuff; including murder. Should we all be judged for the actions of a very small group of idiots? Of course not. Same applies for cops and FBI agents.
  14. Memphis rate is higher than Chicago if you do the math based on population.
  15. At 64 I’ve had to slow down on the back flips while clubbing, or jumping fences. But when I do; most all of my holsters have thumb breaks and are secured to my belt.
  16. Doing a back flip with an unsecured weapon isn’t negligent; it is reckless. (No matter who does it) Just goes to show that even when properly trained; some just don’t get it. A person was shot. I suspect the agent will be charged. The victim will get a big payday. I also doubt his duty status will be a factor. It doesn’t look to me like it went off when it hit the floor. It looks like it went off when he grabbed it.
  17. We (Dogs owners) worry too much. Your dog will eat if she is hungry. If she won’t there is a medical issue and it won’t matter what you are trying to feed her; she will need medical attention. My last Doberman ate well and was also fed scraps. My new puppy will be fed nothing but dry dog food and no people food. I’m using 4Health grain free dry puppy food right now because that is what the breeder was feeding him. When we go to adult food I will reevaluate. But again…barring a medical problem your dog will eat.
  18. Correct. It’s also why I disagree with you when you say Police Officers should have to let the level of danger escalate to a level higher than a non-Police Officer before using deadly force. It’s unacceptable. If you cause a Police Officer, HCP holder, or any other person to believe they are in immediate danger of death or great bodily harm; you caused that and deadly force is justified.
  19. I said you will get exactly the amount of justice you can afford. Death penalty cases step out of that box though. They get qualified attorney’s that have handled death penalty cases. Paid for by us of course.
  20. You may be right; Cops are people. Your friends being killed make you pay more attention. However, there are plenty of cases here locally were it wasn’t cops that were killed and massive amounts of man-power were used. However in areas like Nashville and Memphis where there are a lot of murders I doubt they get the resources a cop killer would.
  21. As a former Police Officer I respectfully disagree. Violence is violence no matter who it is directed towards. It is an attack on society no matter who it is and should be addressed with extreme prejudice. Someone killing their wife/husband for insurance money or someone killing a clerk in a hold-up is no more acceptable and no less violent than killing a Police Officer. Violent killers should never see the light of day again; ever.
  22. Every little bit helps. https://www.smithandwessonrebates.com/#/home
  23. I’ve thought about dabbling in it with small amounts while I learn. What about something like Robin Hood that is commission free? https://robinhood.com/ https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/03/19/how-does-robinhood-make-money.aspx
  24. Exactly. In this politically charged environment many want to be of a “special” group or plan. I don’t care if the victim is a Police Officer, School Teacher, Home Owner, or Store Clerk; murder is a hate crime. It is the ultimate hate crime and unjustified murder against an innocent victim should not have levels.
  25. What a shame.
