  1. Changing the concept of MAD would be having the ability to reliably shoot down missiles…every missile…every time. Someday someone will have that ability and the threat of missiles will be reduced. There is a lot of internet arguing about what we (or anyone else) have the ability to do. Due to the speed of a missile and the time required to react; I doubt anyone could reliably knock down missiles. However we are in a time when technology changes daily.
  2. Our Ballistic submarines are our #1 line of defense against these attacks. Even if we are destroyed they will immediately destroy where ever the missiles came from. Hence…. Mutually Assured Destuction.
  3. I just met with a Medicare Benefits Consultant yesterday. She helped wade through it all. My financial advisor gave me her name and info. If you want it I’ll PM it to you; she is in your area.
  4. Or has something changed about MAD? Sure they can hit us. And we will hit them. It will not end well for either country or the rest of the world. We have TV commentators that say stupid stuff all the time too. They also try their hardest to reveal every bit of military information they can get.
  5. They had the victim on Jesse Watters show Saturday.
  6. That’s what I was thinking. That and, someone at Benchmade didn’t really think this thing through. I feel sorry for some of these stores that get caught up in the gun debate when no matter which way they go they are going to pizz someone off. But you would think a knife company would think this through a little better. I only own a few knives and I have never bought Benchmade; so my opinion will have zero impact on them.

  8. Excellent reflexes and excellent situational awareness on the second person coming at him. Goes to show just how little time you have and why you can’t wait to see what’s going to happen when someone pulls a gun.
  9. Exactly. The politicians that are saying a wall won’t help; think saying that will get them votes. They think that because they aren’t in touch with what the people want; jobs and security. So I hope they keep saying it.
  10. Apparently the guy didn’t get the message from the ATF that they would arrest people violating Federal Weapons laws; we all got that message about the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act. Too bad he had to be a test dummy. Their attorney that informed them it would be okay was not well informed at all. I still don’t know why these laws can’t be tested without someone being arrested; but it appears that’s how it is. His case could make it to the SCOTUS; but that doesn’t mean they will hear it. And to his statement about pot laws… Yes, the Feds could go into Colorado (or any other state that legalized it) on any given day; arrest everyone selling pot and shut down all the stores. Those store owners know that and went into it with their eyes open. I guess they think all that money is worth the risk.
  11. How many more innocent people are going to have to die before the officials that protect these criminals are arrested?
  12. It’s never happened to me either; but it’s why I wear shooting gloves most of the time. Can you link stories to what happened in those cases?
  13. That Moron needs to go in prison. Kudos to the guy for standing up to that idiot. Although it was kind of stupid; he could have been shot.
  14. Amen Brother. Everyone that carries may find a time when they need to enter a posted business; as you know it’s not as easy as saying “Don’t do business with them.” I don’t see how this can pass when people can legally have a gun in their car, that doesn’t have an HCP. So yes, if you have to leave your gun in your locked vehicle; these idiots think the answer is “Let’s make criminals out of the victims in crime.”
  15. They probably let them out on their own recognizance because they aren’t a flight risk, live in the area, have jobs (or did), and this was a nonviolent crime. They may have traded a recognizance bond for a confession; no real reason to hold these guys. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again; anyone that thinks you are innocent until proven guilty probably has never been cuffed and stuffed and had to try to get bond. I’ll be real surprised if these guys don’t do prison time.

  18. Anyone that knows care to expand on what those laws are and what due process for the accused is? I don’t know what that bill is and I’m not saying I support it, but I would be willing to bet that if a family member said you threatened to kill them or yourself; if you aren’t arrested you will be committed and never see your guns again. But that's just a guess; Tennessee may have laws that protect your 2nd amendment rights after you have threatened to kill someone or yourself.
  19. Since law enforcement can already take guns without due process; I support some of these bills that lay out specifics for due process. I also support seizing guns and putting anyone in jail that threatens other people with violence. As a matter of fact those people belong in prison and would come out as convicted felons. Then any discussion about guns rights is moot. Does that make me a RINO?
  20. I agree. Love or money, unfortunately people will take lives and ruin theirs and those around them over it.
  21. Well it almost surely saw Military service, but no way to really know if it saw combat. That’s true of most any rifle of that period unless someone knows the soldier that had it. They sure are fun to research and work on. There is no lack of information on the net.
  22. I assume this is for a range gun or home protection. You can order a new 686 for about $650 plus a transfer. A Model 66 is a stainless Model 19, but you will pay a premium for it or a 686 pre-lock. For a range/ home defense gun I’d just get a new one.
  23. I’ve been watching the circus they call a "hearing" today with Acting AG Whitaker. No one is trying to get answers or seek facts in these hearings. These are merely politicians trying to belittle and intimidate while getting their opportunity to speak their mind on TV.

    Air Rifles

Yes, an air rifle is not a firearm and BATF does not regulate them. But if your suppressor can be used on a firearm; it needs a tax stamp.
