  1. No other state that has Constitutional Carry did away with carry permits. I guess Tennessee could be the first; but I doubt it.
  2. Exactly, and that’s fine. But I’m surprised that any self respecting law enforcement Officer would think that hurting teachers while herding them around like cattle simply because that is what a Sheriff Deputy is telling them to do, helps anything or is any kind of training. I’m all for sticking up for the cops when they are right. But this is just stupid and the kind of thing that makes people think real Law Enforcement Officers are unprofessional. It was a very bad idea brought to fruition and that’s why its all over the national news.
  3. No. They can have a gun in their car, but they can't carry.
  4. If you sign up for getting tased, maced, or shot with air soft guns and you are aware of it; that’s great. And if you as a trainer want to take things that far and are ready to get hurt; so be it. Do you need to be shot with an air soft gun at point black range to know it hurts? Do you not think most people know that getting shot would hurt? Reality? What if as they were lining us up, I punched a Deputy in the face and dropped him? Because that would be the reality of what would happen in a real situation. Would the Sheriff be okay with that? I bet I would be charged with a crime. There isn’t anything “real” about what they were doing. It’s BS. I’m surprised they could get real cops to go along with it.
  5. Injuring people without their consent is a crime. You would think the Sheriff would know that. I guess its possible they signed releases not knowing what they were in for. You don’t have to hurt people to train them.
  6. If my calculations are correct (CAD actually), that’s over 3000 FEET of bullet drop. I don’t care what kind of scope they had, seeing that target at 3.4 miles had to almost impossible. Impressive to us gun geeks, but of no practical use, other than maybe bar room bets.
  7. I’ll ask this again, maybe one of the forum Police Officers can answer. What is the procedure now in Tennessee if a family member calls the Police out, accuses someone in the house of threatening another person, or threatening suicide, there are guns in the house, and that person does not want them there? I ask this question because I don’t think there is much due process in place right now. I also don’t believe that a Police Officer in the above situation is going to leave the person making threats and the guns in the house. They are either going to arrest them and seize all guns as evidence, or have them committed and seize all guns. We live in a time where inaction by those called for help is not going to be accepted. As I have said before I think due process needs to be spelled out and needs to be required in a reasonable time frame. I consider a reasonable time frame to be a couple of days; not weeks or months. The other issue I would have is that once the TBI or the FBI gets one of these orders; I don’t see it getting purged from the system if the order is dismissed without very specific legislation requiring those agency’s to do that. The state can require the TBI to do that, can they require the FBI to do it?
  8. Take a look at GunBroker. You can look at completed auctions and you can look at those that actually sold. Quick glance looks like Around $430-$500 for used. Looks like $635 will buy new, and when they get to about $670; they don’t get any bids.
  9. Great video! We need more places like that.
  10. I don't think that is correct.... https://www.tn.gov/tnrealid/requirements.html
  11. I just learned that it means next year you don't get on an airplane if you don't have the new Super Drivers License/ID.
  12. I don’t use Facebook very much and certainly am not an expert, but when I go to my Facebook page the only ads I see are those that people in my “Friends” list have posted. So… other than a couple of off the rail liberal friends I have; its all pretty conservative.
  13. A Dog thread!! Good for you and good luck with your new best friend! I had a Doberman for 13 years that passed 5 years ago. I didn’t think I wanted to go through that loss again; but about a year ago we got another. Mine are house dogs and I missed that security. But I would never have a dog trained to bite (too much liability); dealing with intruders is my job. His job is to let me know something is going on that needs my attention. House breaking him shouldn’t be hard, just take him out all the time. Teaching him not to eat the pillows might be harder. Harley Max And here is 20 reasons some people may never want a Doberman.... https://www.pawmygosh.co/20-reasons-dobermans/
  14. They did offer a .327 Fed. They did away with it. I suspect the same thing will happen with this unless they chamber it in a round a lot of buyers want.
  15. Being rich and famous doesn’t seem to help much anymore; it appears it is quite the opposite. Its funny that the Feds socked them with $1M bond after the state just passed laws doing away with bonds, claiming it is unconstitutional. Everyone is not equal; there are winners and Losers, and rich and poor.
  16. It didn't have to be him, it could have been traced through a family member. About a year ago my 80 year old uncle found out he has a 60 year old daughter. She contacted my sister after my sister did one one of those DNA tests and she was a familial match. With a lot of people having their DNA tested, I would guess a lot of these type cases are happening.
  17. No one knows that. He killed his Mother and took the gun from the safe. Whether or not he had been given access to it is not known. Without clear cut evidence; common sense would say he had access to the gun. However, my comment was simply because you are saying we are all wrong and this has nothing to do with liability for Sandy Hook. I believe you are mistaken That’s certainly what they are asking for. As I said above; I don’t think the SCOTUS will allow this. But you never know; they may not even hear it. If the lawsuit goes forward and they win; it will be punitive damages. A jury can allow the highest limits of liability allowed by the state. My guess is that would break Remington. Who is next, Glock, Barrett, S&W??
  18. All of us are wrong?

    LMT AR-10

I haven’t specifically shot a LMT, but the AR-10 would be my choice if I could only have one rifle. (Luckily that isn’t the case) I had a DPMS 308 Panther, and currently have a GII Recon. Long range, short range, and a bunch of firepower; they do it all. The .308 is the most versatile center fire rifle round known to man; that helps a lot. My funniest AR-10 story…. I was at the range shooting my AR-15. There was a couple next to me. The man was teaching the woman how to shoot (It appeared). He had her shooting a .22 and he was shooting an AR-15. I switched to the 308 Panther and cranked off a couple of rounds. When I looked up the woman was standing next to me and asked “What in the world is that?” I told her it was a 308 Panther. With a big beaming smile she looked at the guy she was with and said “I want a 308 Panther!” The look he gave me was not one of amusement.
  20. My comments had nothing to do with his previous record. As far as criminal charges; he will be judged on what took place in that incident only. There were no comments about a gun (until later); so I don’t know if he saw one or not. He opened fire standing beside the car. He laid on the hood after he began to fire. If he claims the guy tried to run him over; that video puts him on shaky ground. I’m all for being able to shoot fleeing forcible felons; although the courts disagree. But even then, auto theft isn’t a forcible felony. But who knows; that guy may have pointed a gun at him, and that is why the Officer opened fire. I don’t know. When an armed criminal gets shot by the cops or a citizen; I give the benefit of the doubt to the cop or citizen. The courts may not, but juries usually do.
  21. Sure, that’s why I said it could be. If I was in the market right now; I would be there. You should check it out, not only is there the possibility you find something, but you may meet someone that has what you want.
  22. Depends on the DA, but my WAG is that Officer is headed to trial. If he was in Nashville the Mayor would tell the DA to charge him with murder.
  23. It Could be. But not only are you going to have collectors there; you are going to have a bunch of dealers. This is all “no reserve”, so all these cars are going to be sold; that attracts a lot of people.
  24. The SCOTUS will never uphold this ruling. However, the anti-gunners can bankrupt these companies with legal costs. If this isn’t stopped now; they will all be in trouble.
  25. A lot of that is answered here.... https://www.apro.bid/auction/the-doug-smith-memorial-classic-car-auction-1362/bidgallery/ and here... https://www.bigsouthauctioncompany.com/
