I expect this is be a very big success. I’ve never been a fan of single action revolvers, but at under $200; I might give one a try. Good for Ruger. Single Action, Aluminum alloy, Cerakote. Already being offered at $199 on a pre-order so the price will probably drop even lower. Ha, Ha, Ha, that was exactly my first thought when I saw the email today.

Now you sound like my wife.

Ha, Ha, Ha, I don’t think so. I can buy the top of the line brand new 870 WingMaster, high gloss blue and American walnut for $636, I can’t buy a new Model 39. But you never know what will happen. I think I want to scope a revolver, so I’ve been kicking around the idea of trading a pre-lock for a new 686 with a lock because they are already tapped. How silly is that.

Thanks Greg, I'm not set on new, I'll check those out. I’ve looked at a few used ads locally, but if I’m paying near new price; I’ll just order new. Thanks, I’ve looked at that. But Matt or parkerized is out.

I’m thinking about adding a pump shotgun. I already have an 1100 Competition Synthetic so I don’t think I’d be interested in autos (but not 100% sure). I do not hunt. This will be a range toy with possible use as a Home Defense shotgun. Does anyone make anything in High Gloss blue/Walnut in the <$600 range other than the Remington 870 WingMaster? I’d like an 870 WingMaster with a 20” Fully rifled barrel with Rifle Sights. But I don’t guess they make that anymore. I’m not interested in anything synthetic. Just kicking around ideas right now.

The only dealer Wilson lists in Tennessee is Franklin Gun Shop, you might want to call them to see what they have. Or you might want to check if Wilson sells direct from their facility in Berryville, AR. The Outpost Armory in Murfreesboro might be worth a call to see if they have anything you would like to see. I order most of my guns online because unless you are looking for an M&P, Glock or something standard like that; there just isn't much in this area that has them in stock. Maybe others have some ideas... It was advertised as two devices. But didn't work for me.... I tried using the MEE Device to drive the Bluetooth headphones and a soundbar both. It would drive one or the other, but not both. I contacted MEE support. They were quick to respond, but when I gave them the information they said my devices were probably incompatible with their product. They said they would check with their engineers and get back to me; they never did.

No, no headphone jack.

Don’t buy conversion kits of the web.

Yes, Fentanyl is being shipped into this country from China everyday. DHS just said they are considering classifying it as a Weapon of Mass Destruction. Radioactive material is very easy to detect and track. Treaties & International law control it. -
This is certainly unusual. But you can bet, even though she passed a background check, the anti-gunners will be all over the fact she was an out of state residence and under 21. It will be interesting to see what the threat was. She was obviously very troubled, too bad she couldn’t get the help she needed. https://www.foxnews.com/us/woman-infatuated-with-columbine-connected-to-colorado-school-threats-found-dead-report-says

Tax help needed for 2019 self employed quarterly taxes??
DaveTN replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
Thanks Hozzie and Chuck. I used Hozzie's direct pay link and it worked fine. I don't know why I was never directed to it from the IRS stuff. But it got it done...thanks. -
I know this is a long shot, but you just never know what this forum is capable of. Is there a Home Entertainment system that can drive Bluetooth headphones and speakers at the same time, and has a DVD player built in? My Father uses Bluetooth headphones while watching TV. Everyone else in the room is listening through the TV speakers. I added a separate Bluetooth transmitter on a Samsung TV (TV does not have Bluetooth) to do that plugged into the Digital Optical port. Now my sister wants to add a soundbar so that my Mom can hear the TV better. My dad is getting new hearing aids with an optional device that allows Bluetooth operation. (I don’t know what they are yet) The equipment he is using is: 1. 55” Samsung UN55NU6900BXZA. It has Wi-Fi, but not Bluetooth. It’s I/O’s are: HDMI 1, HDMI 2 (ARC), Digital Audio Out (Optical), LAN, USB. 2. “MEE Connect Universal Dual Headphone Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter for TV” is plugged into the Digital Audio Out of the TV. 3. Xfinity X1 TV Main Box is connected to HDMI 1. So my goal would be to buy one device that can handle the Audio from the Xfinity box, drive the speakers and headphones at the same time, and play a DVD. Thanks for any help.

Its been an issue for many years. Many state hunting laws address it; its not something new. Yes, at some point lead will probably be outlawed for hunting. Something will take its place. Will it cost more, maybe/maybe not? The company I worked for made some parts that involved us handling lead. I’ve been a Machinist most of my life, I’m fully aware of the dangers of lead. I didn’t want to handle that stuff or breath it while it was being cut. We all wore gloves and masks. We don’t know what we don’t know. A few years ago it came out they think there is a link between Alzheimer’s and aluminum. There is Alzheimer’s in my family and I just retired from a company making mainly aluminum aircraft parts…. great. Responsible people in industry try to make manufacturing safe for their employees and the public. But some won’t comply until the government passes laws making them comply. It appears to be the same with hunting. The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with hunting, and none of this has anything to do with the 2nd amendment.

An Eagle ingesting a lead bullet and dying from lead poisoning makes sense to me. We all know the dangers of lead. Asking hunters to use copper ammunition on their hunts is not unreasonable. If hunters can’t use common sense for a known problem; they will have the government force them to comply. Unfortunately its usually only a few that cause problems for everyone.

This is terrible; it doesn’t appear they are going to be able to stop it before the whole cathedral burns. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47941794

Yes, I know its last minute. I am working from home self employed, my wife is still working a job. Our taxes are filed for 2018. I have to pay estimated taxes quarterly for the first 3 months of 2019. This is the first time I have done this. I tried to use the fillable forms at IRS. Gov, but they will only let me create an account for 2018; those are done and submitted. It looks like I have to use 1040-ES (2019 Estimated Tax for individuals). At the end of this form is a payment voucher. It basically has nothing but my personal information and a dollar amount. Do I just fill it out and mail it in with payment? Any help or direction would be appreciated. I’ll use a tax professional this year, but I need to get this submitted by tonight.

No politician will survive that rejects Red Flag bills that contain due process. I’d be curious as what you (or anyone) wants her to say? Do you want to leave things the way they are now? If not; what do you want? These are quotes from Blackburn: They pretty much answer the question you are asking her.

My guess is that 1911 belongs to an Officer from the West Point Class of 2015.

Ha, Ha, Ha,…then you should throw out anything he has to say if he doesn’t know the gun he has isn’t a compact.

You can’t without spending a bunch of money or having lights you can turn on. I wouldn’t try a 100-200 yard shot in a residential area. Too much risk and liability. If something goes wrong that distance will be seen as reckless. I would talk to whatever department would respond to a “shots fired” in your area. And see what they tell you. You say all your neighbors support it. That would be great, but if one calls in a “shots fired” call you could have some drama. The news had a story on the other night about Coyotes approaching houses in Green Hills, so I assume LE will have some answers for you. My guess is they won't tell you that you can shoot them unless a person is in immediate danger. But that's just my WAG. https://www.wsmv.com/news/green-hills-neighbors-say-coyotes-are-taking-over-neighborhood/article_18fedf38-3092-11e9-abdb-47ff8f10a257.html

I don’t know if you saw it but there is a YouTube video by a guy that has both. It’s titled: Comparison: Glock 19 Gen 5 and Sig Sauer P320 Compact!

You can download your forms, get your pictures, and then go to a facility to submit it. Or some facilities can do the photo there. Here is a link with all the info. It has a search function that shows you all the facilities in your area and their abilities. Some Post Offices only do it on certain days and require you to have an appointment; you might want to call. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html Facility Name Street Address City State ZIP Code Public Phone Distance KNOX COUNTY CLERK - CEDAR BLUFF 1028 OLD CEDAR BLUFF RD. Little out of place. Gunsmith Licence
DaveTN replied to McSweeney's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
You don’t need a Gunsmith license; you need an FFL. It depends on where you live. The city of Murfreesboro doesn’t allow it (or most any other business in your home). ATF notifies State and local authorities regarding applicants for Federal firearms licenses to make sure you are in compliance. -
Did your insurance pay out a bodily injury claim? You can do a Google search and see stories that put the increase all over the place. It depends on what state you are in, property damage vs. bodily injury, how long you have been with the company, etc. One story I looked at put Allstate at the lowest increase and State Farm at the highest. Another story put Tennessee at an average of 31%. The stories and articles don’t make sense; other than to show the insurance companies pretty much do whatever they like.
