  1. Okay, since they make the 92G and the military M9 there, am I safe in assuming I can get a 92 marked Gallatin? I don’t want to pay hundreds extra for that marking as in the 92G Tennessee gun. So you Beretta guys school me. What’s the difference in an M9 and a 92? I just want the Gallatin marking in the 92 style and don’t care about any military stuff. Also, If I’m buying a blue/black gun, I want it to be a high polish blue/black; not some crummy matte or painted finish. Does Beretta do that at Gallatin on a standard gun? This would be a range toy that would get used. I’m not going to try to carry it, and I’m not looking for a collectable. Which Beretta do I need?
  2. Or if you go to Mohu website it will show you which channels each model should get. http://www.gomohu.com/tv-for-free-front/?ref=home-product-slideshow
  3. The Wife wanted an Amazon Prime account for our online shopping. (Which means we have it) It comes with Prime Video; lots of good stuff there. Your wife can watch her NBC shows (the voice or world of dance) the day after they air. I think CBS is also available.
  4. Reckless Endangerment is also a crime, and with a deadly weapon it is a felony. So now, unless a plea bargain is made, a Judge or Jury will decide if what he did was reckless. However, they will know exactly what happened. We do not know exactly what happened, so we have no idea if it was reckless or not. We will probably find out. When we had the discussion about the proposed legislation for the requirement of securing guns in cars, I didn’t think we needed a law to tell us that it is reckless to leave a gun in an unlocked vehicle; but maybe we do.
  5. It is my understanding this vehicle was on public display as part of a Veterans display. If it was secured with the windows up and the doors locked; I agree with you. If the gun was in an area that couldn’t be locked (like a jeep); it’s on him. I say that because this vehicle was on display. If that is true. If someone has to commit a crime to get to a gun; I don’t see how the owner can be held responsible. But I’m guessing that was not the case here. We may hear from the owner of the vehicle and find out exactly what happened and why.
  6. Its the law.... that kept him from carrying his gun on him. (It sounds to me like they were implying they need a law or policy or something.)
  7. I downloaded those before they disappear. I haven’t read them all yet, but there is plenty of interesting reading there. It saddens me that the NRA has shown its belly to the gun hate groups and to Prosecutors that would love to take them down.
  8. At a time when some are trying to legislate that we need to put safes in our cars. I hope the Mother doesn’t have any lasting difficulties and the kid gets some help.
  9. Other than being an anti-gun ban, is this even an issue? Are Ar-15’s imported? Most I know of are made right here. Or is “AR-15 style” left wing liberal speak for anything that isn’t a bolt action hunting rifle? https://nypost.com/2019/05/15/kamala-harris-wants-ban-on-importing-ar-15-style-assault-weapons/ BTW....Glad I'm not dating anymore.
  10. Sorry for the laugh. I thought it was a joke; I didn’t know he died.
  11. Oh and by the way… East Tennessee has better guns for sale. At least that is the way it appears when I’m looking for something specific.
  12. Yes, but keep in mind Hillary won the popular vote. The Electoral College is all that saved our butt. If the economy stays strong and people have jobs; they will vote for Trump. Most of these Democrats aren’t trying to promise better jobs or better pay; they are promising forced pay rises for the working poor and raises for those living off the government. That’s a very large group. That’s why they want to allow illegals to vote; we would never have a Republican in officer again. I don’t know who will come out of this group of clowns. As of today I would have to say Bernie. I know the polls have Biden by 20 points, but I don’t think that is anywhere near correct. And neither Bernie nor Biden is anywhere near as hated as Hillary was. We shall see. But I sure hope the republicans get out and vote. A lot of folks were dealt a devastating blow in 2016; that alone will get them to the polls. Gun control won’t be a big factor in this election. But it will help knock out some off the bottom feeders. The Economy and National Security will be the issues.
  13. Tenn. Code Ann. § 70-1-401 Tennessee Code Annotated Title 70 Wildlife Resources Chapter 1 General and Administrative Provisions Part 4 Wildlife Resources Fund 70-1-401. History Acts 1974, ch. 481, § 9; 1979, ch. 286, § 1; T.C.A., § 51-128; Acts 2000, ch. 837, §§ 2, 3. TENNESSEE CODE ANNOTATED
  14. Thanks for posting that great story.
  15. And 50-100 for the class. That may be true, but when the bill started it was 0. The $65 was added later.
  16. She’s an idiot. The ATF already takes the licenses of dealers that don’t comply with the law. We have seen that locally for improper bookkeeping. As far as taking away the licenses of gun dealers that have sold guns used it crimes; the ATF looks at them hard and would pull their licenses if they could find violations. I would guess their location has more to do with that than their business practices. I knew when Pelosi was comparing Trumps executive action on the wall to them using it for gun control; they were already going to do it if they get back the Office. Of course facts and common sense don’t matter to any of these clowns; they are playing to their base to get votes. Some of them know they have zero chance of getting elected; but want the name reignition. All we can hope for is every conservative goes to the polls.
  17. My guess is they add about 55 cents to each of the 785K licenses they sell each year and add it to the $19,000,000 they take in in license sales. Even though I don’t hunt, I never have had, and don’t now have a problem paying it. I also don’t have a problem with hunters paying their own way. It could be that our lawmakers got info that the Feds are going to try an ammo tax with their most recent justification, and are getting out in front of it.
  18. Good grief, the Dems have to be foaming at the mouth. Letitia James getting a shot at the NRA in the state of NY. I doubt she will stop at tax -exempt status.
  19. I don’t have a dog in this fight, but it appears to me if the NRA is going to survive; LaPierre, Ackerman-McQueen marketing, and William Brewer's Law Firm need to all be gone and they need to be gone today.
  20. Ya know, this is 2019, some options are not that hard or expensive to do. TV displays and Wi-Fi Cameras are not that expensive. I understand the problem with locking doors. But if every entry point had a camera, and the Office and Teachers lounge had monitors; I would think that would be a tremendous help to see a threat coming. An immediate notification system (to security and teachers) so that when one person sees something, they can send out a message for everyone to look at a monitor, or action is needed. Then the only issue you have is the response. Still won’t stop a dedicated shooter, but could put him in someone’s sights quicker, and allow others to call for help. EDIT: I would even bet that someone like Xfinity Security or Google Nest, would do this for free or on the cheap. Not much better advertising than that.
  21. My WAG is that unless the feds paid for the cost of doing that it would make the price of guns prohibitive and the SCOTUS would rule it unconstitutional. Just like they will when the Dems want to put a big azz tax on ammo to try to have gun control.
  22. Not only are the hands of LEO’s and Mental Health sometimes tied, but with OOP, RO’s and the Red Flag laws; victims that won’t deal with problems because the aggressor is their main income (that’s a legitimate issue for many, I have no answer for that), and people that lie. As far as the people that lie; my feelings have always been that the accused is a willful participant in that scenario. Maybe not the first time; but any time after that. It would be great if any of us could find a fix for any of this; but short of finding a way to make people get along; I don’t see it happening. That’s why I am so adamant and have no tolerance for those that threaten violence towards anyone; especially with a weapon (gun, knife, car, baseball bat, etc.) or threatening a mass shooting. If that is proven; lock them up until the courts deem them no longer a threat. My GAS meter sits at zero for them.
  23. I agree with you on restraining orders. I can’t count the number of times I have been ask “If I get a restraining order, he can’t come around me, and the cops will protect me if he does”. I’ve explained to them that the Police can’t protect them, all they can do is arrest him if he comes around. But even that isn’t true in many places anymore. I’ve seen on some of the cop shows where they tell people that if they find the offender, they will issue him a citation to appear in court and the Judge will decide. That’s just wrong and needs to change. If someone violates a RO or OOP; they need to be found, cuffed and stuffed, booked into jail, and then taken before a judge. But what else can you do? You can only help for a short period of time and then the victims or the family have to make changes. As far as the kids go, the school district failed to keep them safe. I understand that is hard to do when someone that is not afraid to die decides to commit a crime. But its only right that all mental health resources be made available to them. Talking amongst themselves is also fine; if that’s what they need to do. I would also bet that there are people who have been in school shooting that make themselves available to talk to these victims; but that’s just a guess. I’ve seen mental health professionals not be able to help because their hands were tied, and I’ve seen them save lives. I’m sure it’s like anything else; person by person and case by case.
  24. Sure, but that gun doesn’t help when someone steps out and places a red dot on your chest. Assuming he leaves you alive, now he has a new bike and a new gun and you are standing around with nothing but your good looks.
  25. It happens too often. Part of the problem is that some Police Chiefs are hesitant to come right out and tell the public that if someone points anything at them in a threatening manner, especially someone fleeing, it will be assumed it is a deadly weapon and they will be shot and probably killed. However, this guy was old enough that he knew that. He also probably knew it wasn’t going to back the cops off. So obviously he either wanted to die, or he was so high he was out of his mind. If it was the former; he got his wish. Of course in Nashville the DA will take a cop to trial after a he kills a perp that is fleeing, and has pointed a real gun at him. So I guess it depends on where you are. No, I’m just being facetious. It doesn’t matter where you are; they will still shoot you in Nashville if you point a gun at them. The entire Metro PD should have walked off the job.
