  1. they do have a lot of parts. I've got tons of small parts/bolts/firing pins/etc. There is one small country store (Mitchell's I believe) about 10 miles outside of Jackson that has smelly old leather slings, canvas pouches and misc milsurp stuff on sale and on display. I did pick up two old beater chinese SKS stocks there for a reasonably price. But they were really rough. They have a few guns but mainly old "gun stuff". My kind of place.
  2. Beretta M9/92FS is my primary platform....Canik TP9 SA/SF is the backup...M&P Shield for carry...a few Heritage .22s just for plinking.
  3. I have thinned down my collection a good bit but have an affinity for SKS/AK stuff. I got out of my Mosin collecting--I only have a couple of K98s as far as bolt actions go. I am always looking for factory stocks/mags, especially in the SKS realm. I dont like aftermarket stuff and when I run across a deal on a "tacticool" SKS I try to rescue it. I looked high and low for a factory SKS stock before finally running across a Russian stock at a pawnshop in Nashville. I travel a lot and would like to know of any good local shops where you can find the "good stuff".
  4. Back in my younger years I collected a little bit one of everything. As I aged I have gravitated towards the rule of three; more with an eye towards defense and survival. 3 each: primary handguns- in my case M9/92FS. Plenty of mags. 3 each: backup handguns in same caliber as primary same with rifles and shotguns. Some rifles I have more than three..
  5. These are awesome pistols. I picked up one -SA - after reading up on them a good bit. Trigger is flippin' awesome compared to a factory Glock. It's accurate as well. I never could get a Glock to put rounds where I want them. I'm a Beretta M9/92FS fan - I can put my bullets right where I want them. Long story short I liked the SA so much I've got another SA and an SF in the safe. Once word gets around on these, the prices will go up.
  6. Huntingdon area....nice to be aboard.
