    I was considering purchasing one of the large ring mauser actions from sarco. I need recommendations on a smith to barrel the action. I am intending on a 270win barrel with a varmint profile, probably a Shaw barrel. I live in Mcminn county between Knoxville and Chattanooga if you know someone nearby. I am open to shipping the gun off if the smith's quality of work, or pricing makes it the better decision. I would perfer to have someone semi local (within 1.5 hr drive) do the work if possible.I just don't really want to send it across the country and wait months for the work to be done if I don't have to.
