Thanks. It's a 1918 Colt that went through the Augusta Arsenal for WWII use. The grips are reproductions. I have the originals put on at Augusta, but want to keep them intact. Here's a 1944 Colt 1911 A1 that I had re-parkerized. A previous owner had it nickel plated and one after that DuraCoated it in tan and black. I felt obligated to give it back some of its dignity.
