  1. My82Cam, did you build one, and did it work? I plan to anneal my first batch sometime later this week, just using a single torch and a cordless drill to spin the case.
  2. If it's a Lee Collett Neck Die you might be able to adjust the die to the right depth in the press to make it work. Youd hav ebetter luck using a Creedmoor die to size the Swede than the other way around. When I first got my 6.5 Creedmoor I tried to neck size it with my RCBS 260 REM neck sizing die. it didn't really work. It sized the neck, but only about 1/8" before the die bottomed on the ram. Since the Swede is longer than the 260, I think you'd have to grind some off the bottom of the die to allow you to insert it deep enough into the press. Spend $45 and get the Lee Ultimate Die Set for the Creedmore. Keep the Collett neck die and sell the rest if you already have a seating die and FL die.
  3. Hornady Collet is the Bee's Knees. I wish I never bought the kinetic kind.
  4. I really like the .264 caliber, but I prefer the 260 or the 6.5 Creedmoor over the Swede, mostly because they are true Short Actions and the Swede needs a long action. That might not be important for you, but I thought I'd mention it.
  5. Hi guys. I'm a long time deer hunter and reloader. I'm interested in getting into some longer range shooting, but with my gun club (Gallatin) closing our range and still looking for more property, I'm not sure I will have any place to shoot for awhile. Anyone with info on a place to shoot over 300 yards, in Middle TN, please let me know. I love bolt guns, particularly those based on the 308 WIN. I recently sold my 243, but I still have and load for 260, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08, 308 (my son's), and 270 WIN. I'll be watching the reloading forum for tips, and will probably be posting a fair amount. Hope to get to know you folks better.
  6. I've never used the bushing dies, but have used Lee Collett neck dies and RCBS neck dies, as well as adjusting my regular FL sizing dies to only size the neck. The Lee Collett Die worked much better for me, and especially considering you don't have to use any lube at all...makes sizing as fast as de-capping.
  7. Whenever I buy a new center Fire, I immediately buy a set of dies. The last two guns I bought were specifically to try a new cartridge (7mm-08 and 6.5 Creedmoor). So far these are both nice, and I'm having a lot of fun with the Creed, but so far they haven't unseated the 260 R.E.M. As my favorite. (With four grandchildren aged 8 through 18, any one of these guns could get claimed by them at any time. My 260 was almost exclusively used by my granddaughter the past few years, but with her going off to college I have it back for at least a little while )
