I've spent time in Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Ouray, Silverton and passed through Durango. I'd say my favorite parts were in San Juan mountains but Fort Collins was nice.

As to points #1 and #2... plenty. Especially on Broadway in downtown Nashville around all of the tourist traps. As to point #3... you'd have to go ask them. I get the impression that a vast majority of them are bachelorette parties since Nashville has become a Bachelorette Party Destination. What part of Colorado are you from? CO is one of my favorite states and on the short list of places I'd move, but y'all have been letting a few too many Californian trust-fund babies into Vale and they're swinging your political spectrum a little too left-of-center for me.

We severed ties with Tapatalk quite a while ago. We aren't on the Tapatalk network anymore.

I had to Google it based off the pic's name. No idea who he is but he seems solid given that he skipped the Mini-14 and went for the two AR pistols. I hope he doesn't fire off a string and grab that one by the barrel and gas tube though. That would hurt.

Your lshelxxxxxx@blo#####.net address had been suppressed on our side because previous attempts to email to it had "bounced". Meaning your mail server told our mail server that your address was bad. I've unblocked it and you should be good to go. Send me an email at david at tngunowners dot com if you want, and include your desired password, and I will reset it for you and then we can delete this account.

That's what the comp is for.

A recent glimpse at the slow, methodical evolution of the gun. Still no phone added to it, though.

One of mine went on without too much fuss but the other one required a moment of silence and prayer before I lost my crap with it.

Glock 19 Holster Discussions
TGO David replied to GlockSpock's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I just want to make a few public statements about this so that anyone else who has any misconceptions about things will know what the truth of it is: 1. I pay for my holsters from SAC the same as anyone else does. I don't get them for free, and Mark will back me up on that. He has told me before to stop spending my money on holsters, but I've told him that I would rather it be this way. So, my recommendation of SAC gear is not bought or paid for. It is based on my positive experiences with them as a customer. I also wait the normal wait time when I order. Case in point, my last order was placed the last week of June and I received it yesterday. There is no preferential treatment there despite he and I being friends. 2. There is not a business relationship for me to protect with Mark. He doesn't pay Shooters Nation for any advertising. We plug his shop for him because I want to help him out and because I can't pay him to be my co-host on the podcast. Shooters Nation, for the past six months and 30 episodes, has brought in zero dollars from anyone. The money involved in that podcast flows one way and one way only, at present. Out of my bank account. That's not a complaint and I am glad to do it. I enjoy what Mark and I are building with the podcast and get Thank You emails daily from listeners who found it useful and relevant. But I don't want anyone to think, "Oh, David protects SAC because there's money involved." If you think that, you're wrong. Period. 3. Mark's a big boy and can defend himself, but I'll say this: From getting to know him over the past 6-months, he is obsessed with quality and with customer service. If he says he can't do something for someone, he's legitimately considered it from every angle that he can and he has a good reason for saying "No." To replicate the RCS Phantom holster, they would have to use a completely different process for Kydex molding (i.e. foam pressing) than what they currently use (i.e. vacuum forming). They are set up the way they are to produce holsters as quickly as they can and keep customers happy. The sheer number of product SKUs that they have now when you consider right hand, left hand, multiple colors, multiple attachment options, with weapon light, without weapon light, with RMR, without RMR, inside the waistband, outside the waistband, and on and on and on and on... well you get the idea... is already hard for them to keep up with. And, if the guy just feels it's not ethical to 100% copy a competitor product because he hates it when people 100% copy a product of his own design, can you really blame him? My advice: Capitalism is wonderful. If you see a niche that isn't being served and YOU want to dive into it, buy the gear, hang a shingle and go into business... DO IT. -

Their molds are CNC machined aluminum plate. There's no adjusting those further apart for what you're after, dude. -

I spoke with Mark about this the other night and what he told you is accurate and is going to be final on it. Their vacuum molding process doesn't let them do a 50/50 mold like Raven. Mark also prefers NOT to make exact copies of competitor products, feeling it is unethical to do so. I hope you like the Zulu but I can tell you pretty confidently that you're not going to get them to make a Raven copy. -
This morning I upgraded the forum software to the latest version which provides a long list of bug-fixes and performance improvements. https://invisioncommunity.com/release-notes/436-r80/

I think it's probably worth comparing some statistics about the Peltor 500's and the MSA Supremes. Remember, with NRR the higher the number the more noise reduction they are capable of. MSA Supreme Pro-X $260.06 current price on Amazon NRR = 18 dB Peltor Tactical 500 $119.99 current price on Amazon NRR = 26 dB Even if you add the Peltor Camelback gel cups ($44.97 currently on Amazon) to the Tactical 500s, you are sitting at $164.96 for the combo. That's practically $100 cheaper. I am not saying the MSA muffs aren't nice and you might be using a different version of them that is cheaper or has a higher NRR factor, but they are generally priced up around what my Pro Ears muffs were. And it was definitely a case of, "Stop using the Pro Ears in favor of the Tactical 500's" for me. Loud harmful noises are just a lot quieter with the 500's than with my Pro Ears.
-
I have zero experience with those. Mark has them, but not me. Sorry.
-
My apologies to your bank account, but I do believe you'll like them!
-
I recently bought pair of Peltor Tactical 500 earmuffs and added some Peltor Camelback Gel rings for them and absolutely love the setup. They are more comfortable and block more noise than my $300 Pro Ears earmuffs do. The gel rings weren't mandatory additions but they made the muffs mold around my eyeglass ear stems a little better and reduced pressure on my temples as a result. There really is no comparison between the 500's with those gel rings and the more expensive muffs. The Peltors win, hands down, in every way for me. *Full disclosure, those two links are "affiliate links" that help TGO if you buy using them.

Would you listen to a TGO-specific Podcast / YouTube channel?
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
Yeah there's no way I can envision it being weekly. Monthly is much more like it. Yep, see above. Awesome! Thanks for keeping up with SN. -
Just as the subject asks... Would you listen to a TGO-specific Podcast / YouTube channel? What if it were done bi-weekly or monthly? And regularly included some of our more prolific members and discussed things in the firearms world with a Tennessee-specific slant? More importantly... would you be willing to help sponsor it with a few extra bucks each month to help cover hosting charges?

Live YouTube Event - Tuesday 11-SEPT-2018 @ 8:00PM Central

The live video from last night was only available LIVE at the time. I'm undecided on whether I want to release the video-recording of it or not. I'm an obsessive perfectionist and there were some things about the video session that are bugging me. The audio podcast version definitely will be available on Sunday. I am mixing it right now. -

You know, Mark and Cory (Squared Away Customs) will build just about anything so long as it's a combination they can reproduce in their shop or the firearm's owner is willing to ship items to them. -

Awesome! Thank you! -
Hey folks. My buddy Mark at Squared Away Customs and I are going to be doing a Live YouTube Event to celebrate the six-month anniversary of our Shooters Nation Podcast series. We just released our 28th episode this week and the live event will be our 29th. If you'd like to participate, we would love to have as many of you there as possible. I keep thinking that one of these days I'd like to start doing the same thing strictly for TGO, so this would help me gauge interest in it based on how many folks turn out. During the event we'll be answering questions submitted ahead of time by members of the audience and taking live questions and conversation topics from the viewers straight from the YouTube chat window. You don't need anything special to participate, just head over to the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx_488NJU8E You can subscribe to the Shooters Nation channel and get notified when this event and others go live, or you can just use that link to participate tomorrow night. Also, if you have any questions you'd like us to answer about guns and gear, training, self-defense topics, etc. you can email them ahead of time to shootersnationradio@gmail.com. Lastly, you can always find the podcast at any of the links below... https://www.shootersnation.com iTunes | Spotify | YouTube | Google Play Music | Stitcher | Instagram | Facebook

Yeah they're trying really hard to get caught up. Mark owns the company but hasn't been personally involved in producing holsters for a while now, but recently took several 12-hour shifts on the shop floor building holsters to try to reduce the backlog. I've got two in the queue with them since the end of June. Hopefully soon! It has a full shield. It's very comfortable for me. I always wear an undershirt even with t-shirts, but it's comfortable even without that on the rare occasions that I abandon the practice for some reason.
