  1. I'll bet you a Coke that there was never a white dude inside the car.
  2. No, my angered reaction is just to the way these stories spread like wildfire, with little to no verification of the facts, because it's the narrative that the mainstream media wants to propagate. I'm troubled by the society that my kids will be growing up in.
  3. Getting out and trying them is the best way to make an informed decision. At the end of the day, everything you read or hear is someone else's opinion. What matters is how the gun works for you. I have an M&P Shield 1.0 in 9mm and now a P365. I prefer the P365's feel overall. Your mileage might vary!
  4. Welcome, Wes!
  5. Skip to 1 minute 20 seconds for the meat.
  6. Yeah I think the 90's is more accurate. The USP is a good pistol. Over-engineered like anything Teutonic, but a very good pistol.
  7. So you could say that you got stuck in the 1980's on your way back to 1911? :)
  8. I mean, one has to believe that somewhere buried inside Glock company files is a carbine design. They HAVE to have played with the idea before and probably vetted a design that would work really well. Now that they're crazy enough to release a single-stack Glock 19 48, maybe there's hope that we will finally see a carbine in the next few years.
  9. Henry Rifles heard you. https://www.americanhunter.org/articles/2019/1/4/henry-repeating-arms-introduces-long-ranger-in-65-creedmoor-and-american-eagle-rifles/ The company’s Long Ranger lever-action rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor uses a 22-inch blued steel sporter-contoured, free-floated barrel with a 1:8″ twist to get the most accuracy out of the high BC bullet. The American walnut stock sports deep checkering, a soft rubber recoil pad and a steel forestock cap. The rifle utilizes a chromed-steel bolt and a six-lug rotary head, worked via a geared action to provide a solid lockup similar to that of a bolt-action rifle. Other features include a detachable, 4-round box magazine and a drilled and tapped receiver. The Long Ranger in 6.5 Creedmoor has an MSRP of $1,066.
  10. Welcome! Any hopes of relocating to the States permanently?
  11. You guys realize how weird the market is right now? Single stack 9mm handguns are the rage, Springfield is doing the Lord's work bringing the 10mm Auto cartridge into vogue, and nothing much else seems to be getting any attention. Daniel Defense's bolt-action rifle seems like a play by Marty Daniel to have something to sell the next time he gets stupid and throws his support behind more legislation that hurts gun owners. The AR-pattern rifle market is dead, dead, dead. Their value peaked and crashed post-Newtown, and until the swamp rats in Washington DC make a viable push to ban them [again] the market for them will continue to circle the toilet like a turd that just won't flush. The AK-pattern rifle is the only black rifle that seems to be making anyone any money these days, which still makes me wonder if we all didn't get abducted by aliens back in 2013 and get transported to some weird alter dimension where an AK brings more money than an AR. Of course just today the Hearing Protection Act rumor-mill has started up again.
  12. They should call it the Assisted Trigger Finger just to be real a-holes about it too.
  13. Just as the title asks, what are some products you WISH that they would announce at SHOT Show 2019? I'll start us off with this one: I wish Smith & Wesson would announce an 10mm M&P handgun.
  14. Sootch's video and some introspective thinking have pushed me back toward the Sig P365.
  15. You and I are watching some totally different traffic on the Internet if you think the G43 hasn't been successful. This isn't me being a fan-girl, either. I own a Shield 9mm only because it came out first. The G43 has acquired a very substantial following, even as an EDC among legit high-speed dudes who could and used-to- carry whatever the heck they wanted to carry. I think this one is going to knock the ball out of the park for a lot of people who want the longer sight radius of a G19 without the width of one.
  16. It's a shame they didn't consult with you first. My bet is they'll sell a ton of these and the market will start to see a bunch of used P365s as Glock faithful move away from the Sigs they bought and back to this.
  17. We've been talking about this for a few days over on the Shooters Nation Community (Facebook group). I haven't seen it mentioned here yet. Glock 48. 10rd, staggered or single stack, approximate in size to the Glock 19 but with a slightly longer slide.
  18. Thanks! Yes, it's quite a heavy lift to do a weekly show. Consider that only a small percentage of podcasters make any real money off of it, and most are sending more money out the door each month than they take in with advertising, and it's pretty easy to see that it is a labor of love for most of us doing it. We spend the largest amount of our time each week lining up new guests and doing research on the subject being discussed. I'd say that is a solid 4-6 hours worth of work. The actual mechanics of editing the audio and producing the episode take anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how much editing I have to do, or how bad the guest's audio was due to them not using a good mic and headphones or having a sub-par Internet or phone connection. The reward for us certainly isn't money or fame. It's getting an email here or there from someone who says that you made their life better or safer somehow.
  19. Thanks to all who mentioned Shooters Nation. I really appreciate it! 20. We really need to bring back drawing and quartering as a form of dealing with monsters like this.
  21. WOW. I was not expecting the story I read when I opened this thread. I was expecting something with a punchline! Glad to hear that you are doing well now!
  22. The forum needed some Christmas lights. We now have some.
