I haven't experienced this yet. Perhaps worth noting is that a new version of the forum software is forthcoming. It includes a lot of new features, but also bug fixes from this and previous versions.

Value is also going to be affected by whomever did the work. If it's a no-name smith from years past, I wouldn't expect any additional value. BUT... if it's a well-known smith, value might skyrocket. Say, if it's a build that someone like Armand Swenson or Jim Clark did or contributed to.

WOW. Very thankful for you and your family that this turned out well.

I wonder if the list of online sources they comb could be obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.

Nashville Armory, Royal Range - Any Good?
TGO David replied to ShaggyRS6's topic in Training Discussions
Another plus with the Stones River center is you get to shoot with the locals, which sometimes means being shot at by the locals. Accidentally, of course. Invest in body armor. -
Already taken.

Hmm, I guess you're right. I was under the impression that the ATF had said that AFGs were not allowed either, but hand-stops were. Good to know. Still, AFGs suck. Almost as much as the NFA's nebulous web of contradictory statements sucks.
-
AFG on a pistol is a no-go with the ATF unless the overall length is over 26 inches, or it's already registered as an NFA item and you paid the government their pound of flesh for a stamp. ... EDIT ... Seems I was mistaken. F the NFA.

This is how it looks today...

I have one on a carbine length AR. I don't like it. I'll go back to a stubby VFG or nothing at all once I update that rifle with a more modern, lighter handguard than the 15" quad-rail on it currently.

Nashville Armory, Royal Range - Any Good?

Yep. That and they have a vacant restaurant property next to them which is even MORE parking. -
Nashville Armory, Royal Range - Any Good?

Royal Range is a significantly larger facility which gives the impression that it's not as crowded. I'd wager they run as many or more shooters through on busy days as Nashville Armory, but Royal Range has the facility to support the volume. More lanes, more options, more square footage. -
I hope folks will list them out. It would be an interesting exercise to attempt getting on his calendar to discuss 2A issues.

From what I know of his character, I don't think it would be likely that the desires of friends will carry any more weight than the desires of his constituents. He seems like a straight shooter in that sense. What types of pro gun legislation would you like to see him support?

Good to know - thanks! So Yahoo isn't just blocking us comprehensively.
-
I haven't dug too far into this. I saw the spam report yesterday which made me take a look at your account on TGO. When I did, I saw that you had changed your email address to the Yahoo one and were pending confirmation of that before the forum would allow you to resume use of TGO. When I saw that, I manually approved your account and intended to wait and see if we still got any additional spam bounce alerts from Yahoo. We don't do any whitelisting or blacklisting on the forum side.

I shoot it regularly. Is there anything in particular you'd like to hear about? The compensator works great. It's fairly unnoticeable with 115gr FMJ but neither does it cause any malfunctions with any of the light ammo that I have run through it. This includes Winchester White Box, Blazer Brass, Blazer Aluminum, Fiocchi and probably a few that I can't remember offhand. Where it shines is with 124gr or greater. The more charge in the load, the more the comp does its job of flattening out the muzzle rise. It makes shooting hotter rounds feel about the same as shooting 115gr. Overlapping follow-up shots becomes very easy.

Here's what I am seeing: You are using Yahoo for email. Yahoo keeps bouncing our email as "Spam" even though it isn't. The forum is trying to contact you but you're not getting them. You need to switch to GMail or something else other than Yahoo.

I know people who do. What's up?

This was the first year I've not seen anything even remotely unusual readily available.
-
Thanks. I've got another 19 with a suppressor as a nightstand gun. There's no reason to take a suppressed firearm anywhere that I shoot. If I'm going to have to wear earpro because of other non-suppressed shooters, it's not worth the remote risk of a baffle strike. *shrug* This particular 19 now wears a Surefire X300UA 1,000 lumen light. Its transformation to "Full Roland" is complete.

Prayers for sure!

Yep. And I'll add, that not only can that crime destroy your life but it is damning to the rest of us who carry legally and are trying to be advocates for responsible gun ownership. I'll just say this: Maybe I misinterpreted what the guy was saying. Maybe he's not carrying illegally. BUT, if he is, he needs to cut that out and get his permit or stop posting on TGO. We don't need saboteurs within.

I did a short (45 minute) talk on the notion of putting an end to Second Amendment "Slacktivism" in 2019. Basically, I ask what sort of change could we make if we stopped outsourcing defense of the 2A to big organizations and were willing to take individual responsibility for preserving and furthering 2A causes this year. And I give some ideas on how we can each start doing simple things to further the cause. Give it a listen if you are so inclined. I'd love to hear any feedback that you might have. https://www.shootersnation.com/podcast/0042-lets-end-slactivism-in-2019/
