  1. I don't want to hear about power after learning what you get to do at work.
  2. I don't know why I had forgotten to do this... but Benefactors can now also modify their user title. It's in the User CP : Profile settings area.
  3. Weirdos!
  4. You mean it's not already doing that on your computer?
  5. I don't think I'd give over $250 for a 2nd Generation G21. The 3rd Generation adds the accessory rail and finger grooves on the grip front strap. The 21's are honkin big ass guns and really live up to the Glock's unfortunate reputation as feeling like a "block" in your hands. For not much more than the asking price you listed, you could get a brand new G21 'SF' with the new slimmer frame. It's not that much slimmer, but it does fit the hand a little better. Still a really big gun.
  6. I'd say that after 30 years in that industry, you've earned your right to kick back and hang out with the grandkids!
  7. I know that a few of us on the TGO Staff have been wanting some business cards to hand out when appropriate, so I made some up. I am going to attach the business card sheet to this post as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file that you can download and then print out on your color or black & white printer at home. That way if you want to hand some out to folks as well, you'll be able to do so. These print out nicely on Avery #5371 business card stock or compatible stock. You can find it at places like Wal-Mart, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, etc. And I know people might open the PDF and think, "Wow the logo is all messed up looking" but it really isn't and it prints out very smooth and clean. Acrobat Reader just makes it look a little funny on screen. If you need Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download it for free here: [click me] Thanks! TNGunOwners Cards - Avery 5371.pdf
  8. I think I need to hurry up and buy an AK47 before these congressional dipsticks go and wipe their feet on my God given rights again.
  9. Firefox!
  10. "Almost" only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades! What'd that set you back, if you don't mind me being nosy and asking. I really need to add a .22LR handgun to the collection.
  11. Just wondering what some of you are using for IDPA. Description, modifications, pictures... post it all. I'm slowly transforming my full-size M&P 40 into a range toy. It's getting a 10-8 rear sight and a HiViz green fiber front sight, and I am thinking about sending it to Dan Burwell for his famous $50 trigger job to smooth it out.
  12. I'm going to float your number around some "questionable" internet sites so that you stay pretty busy this weekend.
  13. Welcome, Tommy.
  14. No, but more details are forthcoming. I'll post it here as soon as I have it. Hornet Handler, Len, Len's girlfriend and I were invited to attend the kick-off event for this last night. We did attend and I was encouraged by the enthusiasm that I saw from the top all the way down. I'd love to see as many of us as possible get involved by forming teams or participating individually. Again, great chance to shoot with fellow TGO members (and celebrities if you're into that sort of thing) as well as support a good cause.
  15. Referring to this thread... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=629 Are any of you folks interested in forming TNGunOwners teams to participate in the competitions on August 25th? There will be handgun, rifle and shotgun competitions from what I understand. I'm sure there will be plenty of folks looking to win but I'd encourage all of you to consider it even if nothing more than as a way to have fun, meet fellow TGO members and support a very worthy cause. I know I'm going to make every effort to be there and most likely several other TGO Staffers will as well.
  16. I checked and they can do embroidered t-shirts. They also seem to have a new association with a screen printer or are doing screen printing themselves. I will drop them an email later today and see what I can learn.
  17. I hadn't really thought about that. Having done T-shirts for an event last Spring, I can safely say that T-shirts are a serious pain in the butt to do because screen printers require bulk jobs. This means you have to produce a bunch of each size and keep them on hand, or try to do a pre-order arrangement where everyone specifies how many of what size they need. And then you've got the logistical problem of getting them to those who ordered. It was a nightmare. With embroidered goods, I know of a company locally that will produce them a la carte and handle every aspect of it all the way down to shipping them out to folks. They just cut us a check at the end of the month for our portion of whatever sold. That said... I'm not nixing the idea of T-shirts, but I'm going to have to come up with a better way of doing them.
  18. I'm trying to do a little research just to gauge interest. If you would reply by voting in the poll and posting any other thoughts you might have in this thread, I'd appreciate it.
  19. So you're good to go on ordering one? That's going to be a sweet rifle!!!
  20. I'm definitely the one to blame if something isn't working right here. What types of files were you uploading? JPEG? GIF? BMP? TIFF? PNG?
  21. Actually it's an XD45C. Compact. They are great guns! I had one, sold it and bought a .40SW to carry instead just for sheer ergonomics sake though.
  22. Neither of mine feel crunchy. They do smooth out a bit over time, and there are several reputable smiths now who will do a trigger job on the M&P to suit your tastes. The M&P doesn't have a $2000 custom 1911 trigger feel... but it's not a $2000 custom 1911 either.
  23. By the way, a few of the ads right now are "fluff" just so that there are enough banners to actually rotate through upon each page load. The only legitimate banner that we had at the moment was the one I did for the American Cancer Society Charity Shoot. If you know of a gun shop, firing range or even an online retailer who might want to buy a banner ad to help support the site... please let them or me (or both) know.
  24. Well, as you may have noticed... I'm going to give this a whirl and see how it turns out. If the general consensus is that it looks like junk and is obtrusive to the overall viewing experience, we'll either remodel it or ditch it. Thanks for the words of support so far!
