  1. ^^^ This. It's sad that California has become what it is now. It used to be a state that embodied the American dream, freedom, rebelliousness. Welcome to Free America!
  2. Nashville is a large area. What part are you in?

Almost two years ago, my journey into the Dot Life started with this M&P M2.0 Compact that I had Primary Machine mill for an RMR. Since then I’ve moved wholly to handguns with red dot optics and parted with almost every one I owned that wasn’t set up for a dot sight. This gun has sat at the back of a bottom shelf in my safe for the last year, after I poached its RMR for a different gun. Today I unburied it, added an RMR, and installed a new front sight of the appropriate height from 10-8 Performane to fix a minor problem I had with the irons not really printing POA/POI. Sometimes it’s fun to return to your roots and spend some time running a gun that started something new for you. I’m looking forward to getting back to the range soon with this one.

Why? Trigger "feel" is such a subjective, personal, opinionated thing that there's no way I'd let someone else's comments about a trigger deter me from considering a gun. Go try one yourself. You might think it's the best trigger ever. This sounds like a poorly designed holster. Most good holsters have a relief around the mag release to prevent what you described, and I've seen many bad holsters cause exactly the problem you had. If it really was the fault of the gun, somehow, the part they should have had you replace was the spring-rod in the grip that provides the resistance against the magazine release button. The button itself wouldn't have needed to be replaced unless the portion that sticks into the magazine tube to secure it was broken off or damaged in some way.
  5. What that means is that your ISP, Comcast, is rejecting every piece of email we send. Do you have another email account to use? If not, you'll need to set one up with someone like GMail.
  6. Tennessee doesn't require gun owners to register their guns.
  7. Aaron Cowan has become the undisputed source of truth for the reliability of red dot optics. His torture tests are famous among those that live the “Dot Life” and make manufacturers cringe. Holosun, though, regularly steps up to the challenge and sends Cowan samples to beat the hell out of and we all profit as a result. Last night he released his test of the forthcoming Holosun HE508T Version 2 and its everything I hoped it would be.
  8. This should be fixed now.
  9. I can re-enable it. I'm not sure how it got turned off, to be honest.
  10. On a computer and not a mobile device, click the globe icon at the top of the screen next to your name. Click the Notification Settings link in the menu that drops down. Important Note: Email is historically a trick business for TGO because of idiots who have signed up for email only to then report us for sending spam. Fighting that is a full-time job and I've already got one of those, so I've given up on it. Since you're using Yahoo for email, you may not get our emails anyway. Gmail seems to work better.
  11. They were offering a 10% off coupon for your first order if you signed up for their mailing list. Are they still doing that? I really want the new 508T V2. I know that Ike over at Big Tex Outdoors posted on his Facebook page earlier this week that he has zero idea when Holosun's new products are going to land and said that he is pretty sure the COVID-19 thing is slowing down every bit of their release schedule since they manufacture in China.
  12. We need to remember the GOOD things in life! You know, it has never really taken much effort to find bad news if you wanted to look for it, but lately it seems like you have to actually expend effort to find good news. I think that's a shame. To be very honest, I think if we quarantined the world's media for 30 days or so and no one heard from them during that time, all of us would be a heck of a lot happier at the end of it. Since we can't force a media black-out, I figured we could use this thread to post about the things are keeping us HAPPY these days. Share a photo or just share a story. Let's keep it apolitical and leave the memes to other threads. I want to know what is personal for YOU. Here's something that keeps me happy daily. This is maybe the first photo of my almost three-month old daughter outside of the delivery room. You'd never know by looking at her that this girl has a date with a surgeon later this year to repair a partially cleft soft palate or that she has to wear a blood-oxygen monitor on her foot around the clock, every day, because that cleft causes her to be at high risk for sleep apnea. She's the object of constant affection from her older brother and sister, and makes me and her mom smile from ear to ear. Alright... what's keeping you all happy lately?
  13. It wasn't there when I last checked, but it is now. You're all set.

  16. It is a little different no matter what some folks claim. Probably why I like it so much more than my 19.
  17. Funny story... a friend of mine is friends with John. I have John's cell phone number in my phone, but I've not called him yet to arrange it. Maybe one of these days soon. I tend to want to ask these folks questions they haven't heard elsewhere... and I'm just not sure what I want to ask him.
  18. Good to see some other WP's on here. I subscribed a few days ago after he announced it. For me it was a no-brainer. First, John has an actual chance of providing an alternative to YouTube for 2A content with this model of being "crowd funded". Second, when I try to struggle through content from knowledgeable people like Sean Ryan and have to count the F-Bombs, I'm really glad to support a guy who doesn't use that word like a comma.
  19. If you ignore people like her, they influence policy behind the scenes or outright get new laws passed. Never ignore them. NEVER.
  20. Also, would our media please grow some balls and quit referring to these scumbags caught, quite literally, red handed as "suspects"? MURDERER. It's real easy to type. M-U-R-D-E-R-E-R. Hell, I bet Microsoft Word will even auto-complete it for them if they just start typing it.
  21. Sadly the deals forum doesn't seem to be getting much action.
