  1. What that means is that your ISP, Comcast, is rejecting every piece of email we send. Do you have another email account to use? If not, you'll need to set one up with someone like GMail.
  2. Tennessee doesn't require gun owners to register their guns.
  3. Aaron Cowan has become the undisputed source of truth for the reliability of red dot optics. His torture tests are famous among those that live the “Dot Life” and make manufacturers cringe. Holosun, though, regularly steps up to the challenge and sends Cowan samples to beat the hell out of and we all profit as a result. Last night he released his test of the forthcoming Holosun HE508T Version 2 and its everything I hoped it would be.
  4. This should be fixed now.
  5. I can re-enable it. I'm not sure how it got turned off, to be honest.
  6. On a computer and not a mobile device, click the globe icon at the top of the screen next to your name. Click the Notification Settings link in the menu that drops down. Important Note: Email is historically a trick business for TGO because of idiots who have signed up for email only to then report us for sending spam. Fighting that is a full-time job and I've already got one of those, so I've given up on it. Since you're using Yahoo for email, you may not get our emails anyway. Gmail seems to work better.
  7. They were offering a 10% off coupon for your first order if you signed up for their mailing list. Are they still doing that? I really want the new 508T V2. I know that Ike over at Big Tex Outdoors posted on his Facebook page earlier this week that he has zero idea when Holosun's new products are going to land and said that he is pretty sure the COVID-19 thing is slowing down every bit of their release schedule since they manufacture in China.
  8. We need to remember the GOOD things in life! You know, it has never really taken much effort to find bad news if you wanted to look for it, but lately it seems like you have to actually expend effort to find good news. I think that's a shame. To be very honest, I think if we quarantined the world's media for 30 days or so and no one heard from them during that time, all of us would be a heck of a lot happier at the end of it. Since we can't force a media black-out, I figured we could use this thread to post about the things are keeping us HAPPY these days. Share a photo or just share a story. Let's keep it apolitical and leave the memes to other threads. I want to know what is personal for YOU. Here's something that keeps me happy daily. This is maybe the first photo of my almost three-month old daughter outside of the delivery room. You'd never know by looking at her that this girl has a date with a surgeon later this year to repair a partially cleft soft palate or that she has to wear a blood-oxygen monitor on her foot around the clock, every day, because that cleft causes her to be at high risk for sleep apnea. She's the object of constant affection from her older brother and sister, and makes me and her mom smile from ear to ear. Alright... what's keeping you all happy lately?
  9. It wasn't there when I last checked, but it is now. You're all set.
  10. @Ski @joe4vol @Bnashville @GhstFace38 and @TN Song Dog ... please see the above post.
  11. @broox @Ski @joe4vol @Bnashville @Johnny Rotten @GhstFace38 @Shorty @cz75b @TN Song Dog Please hit this link ASAP and add a billing address so that I can process the membership for you. You aren't being billed, but the software needs it for me to complete the transaction. https://www.tngunowners.com/forums/clients/addresses/ You can let me know that you've done so by clicking the "THANKS" reaction (it looks like the little trophy icon) in the reactions list for this post.
  12. It is a little different no matter what some folks claim. Probably why I like it so much more than my 19.
  13. Funny story... a friend of mine is friends with John. I have John's cell phone number in my phone, but I've not called him yet to arrange it. Maybe one of these days soon. I tend to want to ask these folks questions they haven't heard elsewhere... and I'm just not sure what I want to ask him.
  14. Good to see some other WP's on here. I subscribed a few days ago after he announced it. For me it was a no-brainer. First, John has an actual chance of providing an alternative to YouTube for 2A content with this model of being "crowd funded". Second, when I try to struggle through content from knowledgeable people like Sean Ryan and have to count the F-Bombs, I'm really glad to support a guy who doesn't use that word like a comma.
  15. If you ignore people like her, they influence policy behind the scenes or outright get new laws passed. Never ignore them. NEVER.
  16. Also, would our media please grow some balls and quit referring to these scumbags caught, quite literally, red handed as "suspects"? MURDERER. It's real easy to type. M-U-R-D-E-R-E-R. Hell, I bet Microsoft Word will even auto-complete it for them if they just start typing it.
  17. Sadly the deals forum doesn't seem to be getting much action.
  18. Effective April 8, 2020, all rules and guidelines for using the TGO Trading Post are now found in this article. Please always refer to this article for the most up-to-date guidelines.
  19. I'm going to point out that it's possible for it to be a combination of all of those things (Mental health, racial angst, misogynistic view of women, religious extremism) and any one those factors is capable of exacerbating the others and becoming a catalyst. I hope William Aprill does a review of this one after the facts become known. His "They Are Not You" segments on social media are excellent. Carry your gun and keep your head on a swivel, people. The world isn't getting any nicer. Exactly the opposite.
  20. PayPal has a list of things you may not use their service to pay for. TGO's expectation is that our members follow their rules and use another means of payment for anything that falls into those categories. Cash, cashier's check, money order, etc. When you buy a Benefactor membership, you're paying for a media service (TGO) similar to paying for a magazine subscription. You aren't buying the right to buy/sell anything on TGO. We merely make those areas available to you as a Thank You for helping us provide this forum to the public. Access to the Trading Post forums are just one of the perks Benefactors get. It's not the only perk. This is why anyone who abuses the Trading Post can have their privileges to that area yanked without expecting a refund, since a member didn't "buy" that access. It's a gift that we generally give in thanks, but we reserve the right to retract it if it's abused. The same as we reserve the right to gift it on occasion to people who don't support TGO's mission financially.
  21. That's asking for someone to write a lot about something that has mountains of information already available. The most pertinent question for these folks is probably what motivated them to get their license and become a HAM. A site that has a lot of the other stuff, in very down to earth modern style is here: https://myoffroadradio.com/ham-radio-stuff/ham-radio-reviews-information/
  22. That's not the reason that the national news will squash this one.
