I've got a modern Remington 7600 pump in .30-06 and it's a great rifle for deer hunting. This classic model will be a hoot for someone to own.

@Erik88 I think one of the things that has made me happiest in all seasons of the year is the decision that I made several years ago to unplug from the news. We cancelled our cable TV subscription, went Internet-only, use OTA antennas for local news when the weather is bad, and I try like hell to avoid anything and anyone that wants to fill me in on whatever's happening right now in the world. This has even made Christmas better for me because people know that I'm not the guy to talk politics or pop culture with. If they try to pull me into those things, I remind them that I'm not the guy. I know that may not exactly hit the center of the target for you since the commercialization of Christmas is a current source of pressure for you, and I couldn't exactly trace the DNA of this and how it affects my own enjoyment of the season... but it really has made me a happier guy overall.

I almost expect to see 357Sig making a comeback, similar to what we have seen with 10mm. The terminal ballistics of the round are pretty damn nice.

Changed mine up.

I have had similar bad luck with Samsung. We stopped buying Samsung appliances of ANY sort and switched to LG for our TVs. No regrets.

Just do it. The dot is life.

I dunno man, but nothing has changed behind the scenes on TGO for a few weeks now.

Were you able to connect with your brother after this post? Good news, I hope?

I had a Staccato P. Great gun. A little much to carry. Sold it. I have a Staccato C2. Great gun. Easy to carry! I tried a friend's Staccato CS and didn't like it at all.

This is a key statement. If it "fixes itself after a while" that tells me that you need to clear the cache on your browser and try again. Since it seems to be periodic and constrained somehow to a period of time, I think that the period of time we're talking about is the duration for which things are stored in your browser's cache. When the cache "time to live" expires, you get the valid objects from TGO's server.

No. Hit up their website. It'll say.

On the topic of CZ firearms, here's a link to a site where they're selling the P09 for $299. I've bought from Family Firearms a lot of times and they are 100% great to deal with. Plus, no sales tax for anyone outside of Alabama. CZ P-09 9mm 4.54" 19rd Black 91620 | Family Firearms

Oh man. I can relate to that. We had two of our dogs pass away within weeks of each about 6 years ago and it really left a mark. We've had a few more since then, but this guy is the first I've really let myself get emotionally attached to. Go ahead and post pictures of your Shih Tzus if you have any. There's nothing wrong with remembering past pets here!

I looked and there are a few threads about a member's dog(s) here and there, but I was surprised that we don't have ONE big thread of all the doggos on TGO. So, let's fix that. ^^^ This is Tiberias, or Tigh for short. Yeah Tigh is spelled weird but I'm also a Battlestar Galactica nerd and fans of the show will recall that the XO of the Galactica was named Tigh. Anyway, he's a pure bred German Shepherd Dog and currently 4-months old. He was a rescue and we were fortunate to be called this past Monday and asked if we wanted to come get him. And yes, we most certainly did. Tigh is proving himself to be the goodest boy possible. Super loving, super loyal, and also already very protective of his new house and his new pack. We're thrilled to have him. So, so me your dogs!

Guns and Leather Pro Shop Gone, Outpost Armory In
TGO David replied to TNContenderShooter's topic in General Chat
Outpost only bought the Hendersonville location of Guns & Leather. The one in Greenbrier is still owned by the Williams family and is still Guns & Leather. -
Yikes... it was more restrictive than I expected. I've changed it and it should allow for a significantly easier experience. Profile photos can be up to 600x600 pixels and up to 300kb. Cover photos for a profile can also be up to 300kb.
-
Let me know if I can help. In the meantime I'll check to see what the current config restrictions are on profile pics.

One of my favorite movies.

TGO David replied to Gringomecanico's topic in Firearms Classifieds
Oh man. These guns shoot SO flat. Good luck with your sale! I'm not sure I'd let it go if it were mine, but someone will really enjoy it. -

Agreed. I know CZ has done layoffs here in the states in the past. I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen again. They make a great product, but they just don't advertise their stuff very well. I mean, is there anyone who just hates the CZ-75?? I've never met them.

Almost every manufacturer and retailer is competing for your money right now. It's typical end of year stuff, with an unhealthy dose of recession. Next year, being an election year, I expect gun sales to spike again. If Biden even remotely looks to have a chance, everyone knows that the people controlling him will be lame ducks and will push for gun control. I don't trust Republicans either, so before the usual suspects whine about me turning it political, just don't. I don't trust any of them. Fifty trips around the sun have given me an idea of how this [always] plays out. Call it an educated prediction.

for-sale Eotech Vudu 1-8 optic in Geissele Mount
TGO David replied to Ahitchc4's topic in Gear Classifieds
Someone needs this optic on their rifle! I'll just put this out there and say that if your SHTF kit doesn't include a magnified optic, you really should consider this one. -
I've been called an asshole for worse reasons than that. So are you saying you don't know who the TGO member is? How did you communicate with them?
