Too bad that Marine didn't get to come in and address Murtha himself. It would have been more colorful.

Attention Wal-Mart shoppers…. Look what you paid for.

So... can I return that to the customer service desk in unopened condition and use the refund to get some more ammo for my guns? -
I'm going to have to start paying closer attention to that comic strip from now on.

Welcome! Glad you found us.

Man... that is one sexy piece of machinery! Very nice.

Good luck with your search and keep us posted on what you find. If you take a class at Tactical Response, we'd like to hear about that too contrary to how it might look. We'd just prefer a thoughtfully written after action report rather than something that reads like a foaming-at-the-mouth infomercial.

There is no automatic log out. Something must be causing that on your end. There is still a login prompt, and a new posts prompt is shown on the TGO Home page as long as you are signed in. See the screenshot.

TFA Nashville Chapter June Meeting (06/19/07)

Len... if you're giving any serious thought to this, let me know. Perhaps there is some way I or others here in Nashville could lessen the burden on you to a degree. -
TFA Nashville Chapter June Meeting (06/19/07)

Len, what changed your mind? -
It's Jack Daniels + Pie... pretty much the perfect combination.

The Clintons hate the military. There is far too much anecdotal evidence confirming this to even call it into question. When Bill was CIC, he scaled back the armed forces to the point that their capability to wage war or defend the country was almost flaccid. We cannot go there again and history suggests far too strongly that Hillary would do exactly that if given the chance. I haven't neither the time or the energy to put together a bibliography to support these statements. It would be about as productive as putting together resources that confirm that water is wet, night is dark and Rosie O'Donnel is fat. Some things just are and some people will always argue that they aren't. But you're still my favorite Neo-Lib, Len.

Title: Jack Daniel'S Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Yield: 1 Serving Ingredients unbaked pie crust 6 eggs 1/8 ts salt 3/4 ts baking soda 1 ts flour 1/4 c brown sugar 1/4 c white sugar 1 ts vanilla 1/4 c Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey 1 1/2 c dark corn syrup 3/4 c pecan pieces 1/4 c semisweet chocolate pieces Instructions Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Beat eggs. In a separate bowl, combine salt, baking soda, flour, and sugars. Add to eggs. Beat again and add vanilla, Jack Daniels, and corn syrup. Beat mixture again and add pecan pieces and chocolate chips. Throw in a little extra pecans and chocolate chips. Pour into prepared shell, and put into oven. Now pour yourself some of the leftover JD into a glass. Sip slowly, while your pie bakes for 45-50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is firm.

I'll post the recipe for the Jack Daniels pie later. It was mailed to us after our visit to the distillery a few weeks ago.

Only if it's Jack Daniels chocolate pie. Now that is some tasty stuff.

Whoa... hang on just a minute. I take personal offense to the notion that this thread is somehow the distillation of what TGO is or has become. TGO is a place where people can discuss issues related to firearms ownership and the rights thereof. To have someone single out a particular thread of discussion and question whether IT is the barometer of things here really rubs me the wrong way. I'm thankful that 99.9999% of the discussions we have are polite or at least well intentioned. This one thread hardly pulls down the overall property value of this site! Furthermore, if what we've become is a place where we can't talk about issues near and dear to us without people getting their feelings hurt in the process... then maybe it's time to just call the whole idea quits and each of us go back to our respective caves and beat the fire out of our inner children for being such mamby pamby whimps that we couldn't take a little criticism. Man, I'm pretty ticked now. Maybe this just rubbed me the wrong way but it sure felt like a report card on how TGO is doing based on one thread which was based on a character that seems absolutely incapable of escaping controversy. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go fume for a while.

TFA Nashville Chapter June Meeting (06/19/07)
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in Events and Gatherings
Just for the sake of keeping this current... Does anyone know what's going on with the Nashville chapter? I checked over on the TFA Forum and it appears that there is an absolute void of communication on this. Is this newly appointed chapter President already MIA? It just kills me that the TFA can't get any traction on it's home turf. I am jealous of the sort of activity that I see from some of the other chapters and can't fathom why Nashville seems cursed in this respect. -
I understand the distinction between semi-automatic rifles and fully-automatic rifles, but I do not understand why the NRA's Director ever felt that the current BATFE provision to allow a private citizen to own a Class III weapon is too lenient and that further restrictions should be imposed. He clearly states that private citizens have no business owning a Class III weapon. That seems like a concession being made toward the anti's and we all know that if you give them an inch, they will eventually take a mile. Appeasement has never worked and has never been a sound tactic. Thoughts?

Who did you order the holster from?

I'm too stunned to even form a cogent response at this time.

Shrub ran out of "vision" when things started getting tough in Iraq and popular opinion at home started to turn against the war. This was his own fault as he should have never tied ousting Saddam to the notion of WMDs. He pissed me off when he started turning Liberal on the issue of illegal immigration, but of course he wasn't going to do something that would have made him unpopular with his homeboy Vincente Fox.
-
I agree, and sorry for misreading your post. I didn't notice the qualifying word "like". I remember when Keyes ran for President in 2000. He dropped off of my radar after that. I take it that his record is less than stellar. As long as it's not McCain the Insane.

Dick Cheney needs to go for a multitude of reasons. And since when is stacking the deck considered bad karma in the world of politics? J.C. Watts isn't just a "token darkie" as you seem to be implying. He is a staunch conservative who is outspoken in his belief that there is no such thing as entitlement and that people who want to live the "good life" need to get off of their asses, get off of welfare and do for themselves. The fact that he is the conservative answer to Obama's appeal to the black community is icing on the cake.

The man has my vote as long as he sticks to his guns. And I keep telling you people... him + J.C. Watts = flawless victory.
