  1. I was just informed tonight that On Target will not be doing the USPSA shoot this month (January) and may be taking a break from it for a while to come. Apparently turnout is good for them in the colder months because folks enjoy shooting indoors, but not good during the warmer months. Yes... I realize that this is Winter and therefore turnout should be good. But it's more of a fact that they had decided not to do it in 2008. If enough people were to honestly commit to attending some matches if On Target were to host them again --and actually show up (!!!)-- then they might take that into consideration and host them again. www.onttargettn.com

  3. Agreed. It will be well worth your drive to visit Hero Gear. Plus you'll get to meet many of the local TGO members.
  4. You might check and see if there are any special provisions for military who were deployed over seas at the time the permit expired.

    Favorite Grips?

Your options for SIG grips are limited. Hogue makes rubber replacements (not wrap-arounds) which I like. Hogue also makes anodized aluminum grips that are thinner than either the factory plastic or the Hogue rubber grips. I'm not sure I'd be that crazy about aluminum grips. NIL makes some excellent wood grips, but since you said you don't like wood grain grips those are out.
  6. One of the best gifts ever.
  7. Some clothes Kitchen cutlery set Lens for the camera S&W 442 snubby revolver My kids are old enough (14 and 12) that they are almost past the point of being hyperactive at Christmas but still enjoy ripping through their loot to see what they have received.
  8. Nice trigger discipline. Only goofed once! </typical gun forum post>
  9. Merry Christmas, everyone!
  10. It won't. You know I'm open to come down there instead!
  11. You know... Ah crap. We had ours posted first! I could be persuaded to move ours to Sunday if enough folks see that there is a conflict here.
  12. Welcome, soldier. Merry Christmas and stay safe.
  13. Was anyone else waiting for a ground to air missile to take him out in that video?
  14. I've bought some ammo and AR mags from them in the past. Shipping was prompt. I've never been to their bricks and mortar store, however.
  15. Yeah so... you getting that better job or something?
  16. Best Christmas move... EVER.
  17. Can I get you to take out one of the MTV satellites? Just one... doesn't matter which.
  18. I've seen that before. Merry CHRISTmas.
  19. Check into Hard Chrome or NP3 then. You won't be disappointed.
  20. Congrats on your impending defection from Communist Illinois. You do know that Centerville is pretty much in the center of nowhere, right? You will be pretty close to the folks at North Tennessee Practical Shooters (NTPS) who have an awesome outdoor facility at which they host USPSA events. I'm not sure what other ranges or shops are nearby.
  21. There's always Robar's NP3 or Tripp Research's Hard Chrome if you want bling. But then we'll have to change your name.
  22. Leave it alone. SIG stainless isn't so stainless. I've had to keep all of my bi-tone SIGs coated with a thin coat of oil just to keep the slide from pitting. Granted the pitting was very small and hardly noticeable, but it does happen. Their steel just has too much iron content in it to be significantly rust resistant. Their Nitron finish is a really good one. I'd leave it or send the slide back to SIG for re-finishing if you're worried about looks.
