  1. Chris Hansen... host of NBC Dateline "To Catch A Predator". Click.
  2. In order of nice indoor ranges to shoot at locally... #1 - Guns & Leather #2 - On Target And On Target is a distant second. The range at Guns & Leather, while smaller, is much nicer.
  3. I'd like to take you up on that with my own XD-9 Tactical.
  4. Well... good luck with it Dennis.
  5. Hot off the presses... I will no longer be posting anything about the TFA Nashville chapter here on TGO in the events section until the chapter has a few regularly scheduled meetings under it's belt. So far the meeting notices have gone like this: Day One: Meeting is scheduled for XXXXX day. Day Three: Meeting is canceled. Day Four: No, meeting is back on for XXXXX day. Day Nine: Meeting is canceled again, for real this time. Day Ten: Someone asks if there's going to be a meeting. The bottom line is, there doesn't appear to be any hope. This is why I created TGO; because we can meet here 24/7 independent of the weather conditions, personal schedules, etc. You can meet here in your underwear if you want and you can even carry while drinking a beer as long as you're doing it in your own home. I couldn't help but notice that the TFA is looking for another president for the Nashville chapter. Great.
  6. You can find at least a partial listing of ranges near you in our database. http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/browsecategory.php?c=4
  7. It takes only a second for me to obliterate the serial # on a photograph of a firearm, but it could take much longer to undo any known or unknown ways that some foe on the Internet might abuse the serial # were it to be posted.
  8. Neither do I, but I wanted to pass it along to anyone who might be interested. Anything I say further might be considered TGO's official stance on the TFA, so I'd rather avoid that and just state that my weekday evenings have become increasingly busy and I don't have the spare time to devote to a TFA meeting at present. I'm still game for the January 19th TGO middle-Tenn. meet, eat & shoot though.
  9. I received this via email. Posting it here for those who may be interested. --David TENNESSEE FIREARMS ASSOCIATION, INC. LEGISLATIVE ACTION COMMITTEE The Nashville January meeting would normally be scheduled for the third Tuesday which would be the 15th this month. It has come too us pretty quick. I have talked with a few of those who have been attending and am getting mixed interests about meeting next week to talk about what I was planning to address and that is "What is TFA and where is it going next." I would also like some quick feedback on whether to keep meeting at APPS or possibly try to move the meeting to a restaurant and get one of the meeting rooms. This would not necessarily be an every month change but I am thinking more of a meet, eat, visit and talk session for January. What about meeting on the 15th at a restaurant for pizza, Chinese buffet, Golden Coral, Ryan's, Shoney's or other similar types of casual locations that tend to having meeting space? Also, we are looking at a speaker for February who will be talking about the Tennessee Military Collectors Association and sharing some information on Class III firearms. Please take any responses to this thread so everyone can participate: http://www.tfaonline.org/memberforum/viewtopic.php?p=4093#4093 John Harris Exec. 10. In a word... Yes.
  11. And thus we arrive at the crux of the situation.
  12. I laughed out loud at this. In all fairness, the actual user count over there is 4,129 as of this very moment. I have purged a lot of dead-weight members from Tennesspeed over the years.
  13. I'm glad everyone enjoys TGO. I was unsure if it would fly or not when I set it up.
  14. Paul put an end to the rabbinical prohibition on pork in the New Testa... oh... right.
  15. I am seriously thinking about shooting at Dickson next weekend. Anyone else going?
  16. Welcome! 101st and next Metro PD... one battlefield to another, eh?

    GOT IT

Dude, you seriously need to cut out the big Crayola fonts and colors. It's annoying.
  18. Make these people come to YOU from now on. Why leave a gun state for a no-gun state?
  19. You know what ex-wives are good for? Paper changers.
  20. I've not heard of them before now. If no one chimes in, you'll have to give us a report when you're done with your class.
  21. Ignore everyone from East Tennessee... they're a bunch of troublemakers.
  22. Chances are it's a Bar-Sto, Wolf or other 3rd party barrel.
  23. You'll need to have the barrel fit to the gun. Fit being a verb in this case. It's going to take a gunsmith to do it, so I'd start hunting around for one.
