  1. I fixed it so that the smilie box is wider by default. Keeps you from having to resize the window initially if you don't want to.
  2. Guess what gun I'm carrying today? a. HK P2000 b. Wilson Combat 1911 c. Glock 19 d. None of the above Answer: (D) None of the above. I'm carrying my J-frame #442. Rabbi and I agreed that we'd switch places and I'd carry a wheel gun today since he's carrying his new butt-toy.
  3. It's going to be OK.
  4. Yeah, well... you're ugly and your mom dresses you funny. Seriously, what was this thread about again and why is there an incessant need to discuss the collectible value of the Glock versus any other firearm? I don't buy guns to collect them, while the case may be made that I do have the start of a small collection. I buy guns to shoot them. I buy guns to carry them; the one of which I may be carrying now depends on the circumstances and attire. I buy guns because I enjoy them, not because I'm looking to provide an heirloom to my grandkids. If I wanted to provide an heirloom to them, I'd buy a tract of land somewhere and tell them "Here's something that will likely never depreciate." This thread has become absurd. Can we just argue Fords vs. Chevys instead? That might be more entertaining and less divisive.
  5. Maybe on another forum. I've never liked that particular modification so I never implemented it here. We've got too many smilies for it to look right under the Quick Reply box.
  6. For what it's worth, my old 9c went back to the factory twice. Once for the mag-drop issue, the second time for the premature lock-back issue. The gun went away with my ex-wife so I have no idea if even still has it, let alone if either of those issues persist. The last time I shot it, it had neither problem post-service work. YMMV.
  7. The quick reply box has never had a smilies list here. Some forums add it in as a modification but I've left that alone for the sake of making forum software upgrades easier.
  8. Yes, I've been meaning to do that for a while now. I'll do that tomorrow.
  9. It passes. The awkward feeling that you have enough guns, I mean. Use this time to stock up on more ammo. Preferably ammo in a caliber that you don't presently own a gun chambered in. See where I'm going with that?
  10. I kept clicking the bolded words in your post. Nothing happened.
  11. They'll be wearing fur coats and driving sport utilities before this week is over!!!
  12. No, I skipped the SK because the short grip just didn't feel right to me. I've had some sub-compacts in the past and they always ended up giving me blood blisters on the heel of my hand when I'd pinch it swapping mags. You should play the lottery. NOW. Before your uncanny ability to anticipate future events ceases!!!
  13. Impossible! Liberal female college professors shooting guns?!?
  14. So... you want one right, Dan?
  15. One would certainly think. It's a shame that these avoidable quality control problems still plague the M&P. The platform is a really nice one. I wish Smith and Wesson would get it fixed.
  16. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that the fix was going to be immediate. I'm working on it though.
  17. Just some new smilies for your amusement... Tough Guy Screwy Drama Queen Baseball Bat Whistling Tip of the Hat Slap Leaving... Enjoy them!
  18. Who said that .40SW was the only caliber it will come in? Besides, there are quite a few people shooting Production with bunny-fart .40SW loads with just enough powder to meet minimum spec. The advantage being on the poppers and plates that sometimes 9mm shooters have difficulty knocking over. And there are other games besides USPSA. I can see where IDPA shooters will probably love this gun even more. In USPSA, I imagine that Limited-10 and Limited shooters will really love this one the most.
  19. Supposedly it will be available this week or next. Springfield is unveiling it at the NRA National Conference this week and they wanted it in dealer / distributor hands before then so that it could go on sale immediately. We'll see if that is true or not.
  20. From what I've heard, you are extremely fortunate that Judge Robinson was not present. She reportedly is very hard-nosed and doesn't favor the males who appear before her as much as she does the females. Take that for what it's worth; it may be utter crap but I've heard it from at least three different sources.
  21. I could make you a smoking deal on a P2000 .40SW V3 (DA/SA) right now if you wanted one. Offer expires midnight this Friday.
  22. Interesting concept, obviously aimed at making the XD super competitive in shooting sport classes where modifications to the firearm are seriously restricted. Like USPSA Production. You can't modify (stipple) the grip in Production, but you wouldn't have to with this firearm. It also would appear that this will fit inside the Holy "Gun Box" at IDPA events where if the gun won't fit, you must quit. It's the ultimate gamer gun for production class events. I kinda like it.
  23. Here they are straight from Springfield.
