  1. That message was being shown in error. The problem has been corrected. Welcome to TGO.
  2. Fixed. Apparently only Benefactors could do that. I never intended to have that option set, so I just changed it.
  3. Hornady TAP 147gr 9mm in my Glock 19 right now. Still carrying Gold Dots in everything else. Hero Gear just didn't have any for the 9mm last weekend.
  4. I need to change that. Regular members shouldn't even be able to delete their own posts.
  5. Proof of this happening?
  6. Several people reported that they were getting a security token error when trying to post or edit blog entries. I've applied an update that might fix that problem. Can you please try again and reply here if it's working or not? My test showed that it is working. I just want to make sure this isn't a permissions related problem. Thanks.
  7. Update... Ordered the "Pink Lady" color Duracoat from Lauer Custom Weaponry today. Order includes the pink Duracoat, white Duracoat base, reducer and flex agent. Once these arrive, I will remove the grips from the gun and paint them with an airbrush. Hopefully it will hold up fairly well.
  8. I can't believe I just watched the entire old Captain America clip.
  9. Really can't imagine Guns & Leather providing substandard service in any area. I've always been impressed with them every time I've visited. In fact, that was going to be my suggestion for him if he was looking for a nice indoor range to shoot at in close proximity to downtown Nashville.
  10. Sounds like Gun City. If so, that's not the first time I have heard of them providing shoddy service in any area. I'd find another range to shoot at if that were the case.
  11. We can officially close this thread. Apparently he owns a Glock, as evidenced by these serial # pics posted just this morning on Glocktalk.
  12. That's a double edged sword you keep swinging around, you know. Sooner or later you will goof up and someone will use "any legal way [they] can ruin your reputation" and stick it really far up a place you don't wash well. When that happens, you're going to understand why sometimes it's nice when people choose to show a little lenience. In the meantime, suppose this instructor just screwed up on their paperwork or something. Let's not lynch them just yet. More details would be nice.
  13. This one made me laugh out loud.
  14. That's crazy talk. She already has her eye on a silver Wilson. We'll see what Santa brings this year.
  15. As for the matter at hand... I think I am going to order another set of the OEM grips from Smith & Wesson and use Duracoat with flex-agent added to paint them pink for her. That should work according to what I've seen on other gun forums.
  16. Nope, not a stupid question. Hero Gear is in Winchester, TN. You can click on one of their banner ads (shown randomly at the top of pages here) or just go to www.hero-gear.com for their address and contact info.
  17. Waitaminnit... I thought your situation was resolved to your satisfaction. So you're still losing your carry permit?
  18. Here's my serious suggestion for the day... Rabbi, perhaps bring her to one of the Meet & Shoots and let her hang around some of the other ladies. As they are wont to do, women talk amongst themselves and they might provide all the impetus your wife needs. Granted, most of the Meets happen on Saturdays and that makes it a bit difficult for you ... but maybe a Sunday get together will happen one day. You know us Gentiles; we tend to do everything but rest on our 7th day.
  19. I've seen their advertisement in various magazines. Is it anything more than a money machine for the guy who started it?
  20. Extrapolating on another thread... If Jesus carried... what would it be? Modern weapons, people. Don't wanna hear about slingshots or spears or bolts of lightning shoved up people's butts.
  21. That's a pretty good question. Thankfully Molonlabe and the other moderators are pretty good at keeping things afloat without me. Perhaps more seriously, my wife fell asleep on the couch earlier while I was upstairs painting one of the bedrooms. The Glock was near her on the coffee table. I was both horrified and relieved when I came downstairs and saw this, but realized that it hadn't shot her while she was sleeping.
  22. I agree with this completely. We as a community (TGO) really need to strive to move beyond this sort of thing. Closing this thread as it seems to have outlived it's usefulness.
