  1. I am going to direct you to Hilton Yam's 10-8 forum and a thread in particular that deals with malfunctions on 1911 pistols. Now before you wonder what that has to do with the price of tea in China since you're toting an XD and that thread is about 1911s, a lot of the same principles apply here. A little deduction is all it may take to help you figure out what went wrong with that particular round in that particular magazine under those particular circumstances. http://www.10-8forums.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=52142&an=0&page=0#52142 Enjoy!
  2. The problem that we're having is that none of these manufacturers make rubber grips in pink. They all make hard grips in pink or, worse yet, pink pearl. So the search continues.
  3. Also good for finding alternate routes home on those commutes when every major artery in and out of town gets clogged with wrecks. As sometimes happens here in Nashville. I'm pretty knowledgeable about the roads around here (+10 years resident) but I still need a little help every now and again. When I do, the GPS comes out of the glove box and up onto the dash.
  4. Bad news... I called Smith & Wesson this morning and spoke with a guy in their customer service department. He was familiar with the grips in question but stated that they did not have them or at least did not have them for sale separately. He directed me to a manufacturer of the pink "pearlite" grips which I think are pretty hideous. Now I have to break the news to my wife.
  5. Funny... the M-Factor site also mentions that the carry case can be "re-tasked" to carry multiple XD pistols or even a laptop. I guess that's for high speed, low drag web browsing.
  6. We have the Garmin Nuvi 350. So far I'm very pleased with it.
  7. We won't be adding this feature to other areas of the forum as it would invariably lead to utter chaos anytime someone puts their foot in their mouth or disagrees with the replies being posted to "their" thread and decides to moderate the evidence out of existence. Sorry guys.
  8. You're not missing it. It's a feature that I sorely need to add, and will soon.
  9. Can't tell you. It's a secret.
  10. Welcome! And thank you for your service to our country.
  11. I think the biggest downside the Glocks is the amount of BS that people get for preferring them over other makes and models. Sadly that's also the biggest downside that Wilson Combat owners suffer, that XD owners suffer, that Ruger owners suffer, that revolver owners suffer, that automatic owners suffer... etc.
  12. Welcome!
  13. You got a tracking # on that order for them yet? DICK.
  14. These aren't her gun but it is a #642 with the pink grips we'll be ordering this week, so long as S&W still stocks them.
  15. French Canadian.
  16. So that's like... 18mm
  17. Holy cow! I stand absolutely corrected. I'll pull that photo off of my phone on Monday and post it up.
  18. Hey! I fondled that gun today!
  19. Wrong Yancy. That'd be my brother... but I have a picture of his Wilson and a special message from Joe @ Hero Gear from today.
  20. Thanks guys. Even you, Urse. When I rented a Glock 19 at the local indoor range a week ago, it was like slipping on a comfortable pair of old shoes. I remembered why I liked my G23 so much. It may not be the best gun in my collection and it's definitely not the best gun ever made, but I shoot them really good so that's all that matters to me.
  21. You guys are douchebags! I already had a 442.
  22. Just ordered the kydex body for one of my existing MTAC holsters. I was planning ahead. Also had some Ameriglo "Operator" night sights ready for it. I'm sneaky like that. I've already used up my "your mom" joke for the day. Can I get back to you tomorrow? <bookmarked for tomorrow> I made it RAIN in Hero Gear today. Pac-Man style.
  23. Comp-Tac sends free Smarties with every purchase. Or maybe you get a free holster with the $60 Smarties. I dunno. They came with the kydex body for my MTAC so that I could swap out the HK kydex for the Glock kydex. It's bad juju to mix Glock and HK kydex you know. WRONG! Your mom was in that picture too, she was just off the screen. I think Rabbi and Jesus were in the same fraternity. Did keg-stands together. True story: Joe gave me 15% off of "ass" according to the invoice. But then he made Rod consummate the sale. Frankly I was a bit let down. Rod is hot and all, but he's not a "high speed operator" like Joe. Really, what's a guy got to do?
  24. I told her you found the pink grips. She's ready for you to have them shipped to us. Need the address?
  25. My transformation is now complete. Visited Hero Gear this morning and traded the HK P2000 off and picked up a J-Frame for my wife and also a GLOCK 19 for me. I can pretty much assure you that this is a sign of the apocalypse and that you should consider getting right with Jesus before you finish reading this post. Obligatory gun porn: Glock 19. Compact 9mm. Combat Tupperware. Shoots through schools. Invisible to airport X-Ray. Made entirely of porcelain and baby seal skins. Costs more than you make in a month, PAL.
