    My New Baby

It's like a gun! But smaller!
  2. By the way, I should mention for the benefit of our members and moderators that Patrick is in the process of becoming a TGO Vendor to advertise his legal practice.
  3. The safest thing to do is send all Glocks to me for proper care and use.
  4. He refuses to use this as his avatar, so we had to do something...
  5. Dan's just trying to get those pink 5.56 shirts out into the public eye.

  7. I'm guessing that with the awesome weather we had the past few days, some road miles have been logged. So how are you liking the bike, Joe?
  8. Awesome stuff.
  9. PM received... we'll discuss privately. Thanks.

You're going to get as many different suggestions as there are people on this forum. Maybe you can narrow it down some. What handguns have you fired that you did well with (hit what you aimed at) and that you liked?
  11. Cool. I'm going to mark this as a resolved issue.
  12. Send me a PM.
  13. We don't delete user accounts since that leaves horrible gaps in the forum's continuity. If you wish to remove yourself, the only option is to just no longer visit. Can I ask why you want to do this?
  14. I don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not but... Why not attend the June middle TN Meet & Shoot (see the events forum) and bring your wife along? There would be plenty of chances for her to shoot various handguns in various calibers and find one that you and she both like. You have voiced concern over whether a .45ACP handgun would be too much gun for her. My wife's only complaint when shooting my 1911 is that the G10 micarta grips bite into her hands. She's never suggested that the recoil is too much. Actually I've found that the .45ACP has a more gentle push to it than, say, a .40SW handgun. The recoil is not anywhere near as snappy as a .40SW and probably marginally more so than a 9mm. Food for thought.
  15. Are the icons working properly for you guys now?
  16. Definitely come out and meet the locals.
  17. Welcome to TGO.
  18. Well... I have nothing to add to this. Well put. Sad, but well put.
  19. Hunter is going to email them to me soon and I'll host them in our gallery.
  20. It looks like it may be a problem with my coding behind the scenes. I'm going to take a closer look at it today.
  21. Yesterday convinced me that I really want another automatic rifle of some sort. Shooting my old .30-06 was fun and proved to me that my Nikon scope can hold zero for over eight years w/o fiddling with it... but it also made me start thinking dirty thoughts about another AR platform rifle. Maybe I'll go .308 this time...
  22. Also, several have suggested grilling burgers or hot dogs on site at OHGC. If the OHGC governing body is okay with that, then so am I. My recommendation would be to eat at a restaurant in June and aim for July to have a cook-out if it is permitted by the gun club. This will give time to solicit permission from OHGC and then seek volunteers to bring supplies, food, a grill, etc. July is a great cook-out month anyway.
  23. WHEN: Saturday, June 21, 2008. 11:30am - ?? WHAT: Middle Tennessee TGO Meet & Shoot WHERE: Spring Hill, TN (Owl Hollow Gun Club) We will all meet for lunch at 11:30 in Spring Hill at the Owl Hollow Gun Club. Lunch will be grilled on site! (click here for map) Cost to shoot is $5.00 per person. You must supply your own eye and ear protection, paper targets and target hanging materials. Handgun pits require clothes pins or tape to hang targets from a wire stretched across the pits. Rifle lanes require a heavy duty staple gun to fix your targets to the backer boards. Recommend that you bring insect repellent. Weather dependent, also bring sunscreen and/or shoes that you don't mind getting muddy and dirty. This is an OUTDOOR range. Directions To Owl Hollow Gun Club Range is located approximately 10 miles south of downtown Franklin, Tennessee in Williamson county. From I-65 South/North take the Peytonsville Road exit, #61; go West about .7 mile to the red light at South US 431 (Lewisburg Pike); turn South (towards Lewisburg) onto US 431 and go approximately 6.5 miles to Owl Hollow Road; turn west onto Owl Hollow Road; the range is located approximately 1.1 miles on the left side of the road. Approximate GPS Coordinates for those with GPS devices: Latitude 35.7606 N ; Longitude -86.8571 W Please RSVP via the calendar entry (CLICK HERE) if you are attending.
  24. We ordered a JIT slide for my wife's S&W #642 and it arrived in the mail today while we were at the TGO meet. I was pretty impressed with how well the holster tucks the revolver up against your side. Not bad at all for such an inexpensive piece of leather.
