  1. Any pictures of a proposed license plate design?
  2. Comcast may be blocking us. There's little we can do if it's just one or two mail hosts choosing to reject our mail. Sorry.

    XDM for $585!

.40SW is very popular with the USPSA shooters, though, so it's really no surprise that Springfield went there first.

    Make the drive.
  5. I've shot with Jeff and his wife on a few occasions. Top notch guy, top notch gunsmith. I wonder how Guns & Leather stole him away from Specialty Arms in LaVergne.
  6. Freaking AWESOME.
  7. Why are we $$ the word piss?

    Homosexuality

Yeah, I feel like it needs to be properly marked since it's from a Seinfeld episode. (link) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WXabXHEpLI[/ame]
  9. And your pants are too high up on your waist. No... on second thought... leave your pants where they are. Tnx.

Mars is busy but asked me to make sure you got your group hug... Not that there's anything wrong with that.™

  12. So like... do you guys roll over in bed and take turns on the computer, or what?
  13. Yeah but buying a Glock turned me into a total pansy.
  14. Threads unlocked, so long as everyone plays nice.
  15. Yeah and I'll poke a broom handle into your bike's spokes!
  16. Thursday, May 22, 2008 @ 13:30hrs Here's proof that the TGO Moderators do listen and do try to make adjustments for the common good of the forum. We have decided to reverse our stance on forbidding "inflamatory" issues from being discussed in the Off Topic forum. Issues of religion, race, sexuality, politics, etc. may be discussed in this forum so long as the discussions are handled maturely and the participants do not deride or belittle those who disagree. Anyone who cannot participate in a thread without resorting to schoolyard tactics of name calling or bullying will be ejected from the Off Topic forum completely. This does not mean that bigotry, sexism, racism, religious persecution or comments made purely to insult or offend are OK. They are not. If a moderator deems that a post could be categorized as any of those things, then the post will be deleted and the TGO member responsible for posting it will be dealt with. Finally, we expect you to police yourselves. If you disagree with or are offended by someone else's opinion on an issue... the answer is to STOP READING IT. Thanks.
  17. An announcement is forth coming... Closing this thread.
  18. I have already explained why I made the comparison and the logic was fairly easy to follow along with. You obviously understood my intent as you actually quoted and repeated part of what I said. Therefore it seems the complaint is that you don't agree with it. Fine. You don't have to agree. But that doesn't change the facts from being what they are. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
  19. That's good to hear.
  20. No one is ignoring the question. Contrary to what some might think, the moderators here (myself included) do have other things going on in our lives that drag us away from the computer for a few hours at a time. As for this thread... I stated in my official explanation about why we were prohibiting religion-oriented threads that we knew full well going into this that there would be those who would complain. True to my prediction, there have been. No big surprise. Also as I stated in my explanation, no one's freedom of speech is being violated. Anyone who wants to discuss religious issues is certainly free to find a forum that allows those topics to be discussed and avail themselves of the facilities that they provide. With any luck, they also allow you to talk about firearms issues in Tennessee so it would be a win-win situation for you. Frankly I'm not really phased by the comments to the effect that TGO is stuffy or that we're too politically correct or that we somehow are past our heyday because of the changes that we've implemented. The number of posts per day and continued growth of the forum just don't bear that out. While it's a little sad to read that some of you just don't "feel it" anymore, it's more encouraging to me to read comments from others stating that we did the right thing and that they appreciate our efforts to keep the community united around the important things and not let it become divided by the other stuff. Just by way of comparison, a few weeks ago the TGO moderators took a real kick in the balls over the way we handled an issue with a vendor because he was well liked. Over the past two days I've learned that the person in question is catching SERIOUS heat now on several other much larger forums for what may prove to be extremely unethical business practices if not outright fraud. We were crucified by some of the people on TGO for our decision to drop the hatchet back then. Looking at it now, it seems that we did the right thing and maybe saved some people here from getting taken to the cleaners. The point to this comparison is that sometimes, despite what it looks like to everyone else, we really do know what we're doing and it is ultimately in the best interest of the TGO community. If you disagree, no one is keeping you here. I hope none of you leave, but if you do... there's not much I can do to stop you.
  21. I have always wanted a '68 or '69 Camaro. Right behind that would be a '69-71 Chevelle. One of these days I may get lucky enough to own one. Definitely don't part with it unless you absolutely have to. They are getting harder and harder to find!
  22. I want!!!
  23. I really want to take this class but I'm not sure I can fit it into the scheme of things for June. Do you know when another will be offered, Todd?
  24. Having run a car-oriented forum for the past six years, I can tell you that those are so spot-on it's beyond funny to me. And having owned a Mustang for five of those years (until just recently) ... the Civic vs. Mustang comments are even more hilarious.
  25. It should be mentioned that ANY thermoplastic holster will be ruined if you leave it out in the hot sun, inside a hot car, etc. Even the more expensive kydex (Comp-Tac, BladeTech) etc. There's a guy on the M&P forums who left his Comp-Tac holster in the car while attending a class out at Front Site in Nevada. When he returned, the holster had softened up and deformed.
