Let's see pictures of your... reloading bench!
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Impressive setups from both posters so far. I've been lusting after the 1050B for a while now. Probably more reloading press than I need but I'd rather only spend the money once with the prospect of growing into it over time than buy less now and have to upgrade later. -
Nice pistola.

McCain isn't Obama. That's the best reason I can give you right now.

Good luck with that one.

Sent today to S&W Club 1852 members... The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and Smith & Wesson have partnered to create a commemorative revolver designed to recognize the historical significance of the District of Columbia vs. Heller decision and to acknowledge the six original plaintiffs that united to challenge the gun ban in Washington, D.C. As part of the project, an engraved Smith & Wesson Model 442 revolver will be presented to each of the six plaintiffs - Shelly Parker, Tom Palmer, Gillian St. Lawrence, Tracey Ambeau, George Lyon and Dick Heller - for their key roles in working to protect the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The commemorative revolver is available for consumer purchase and Smith & Wesson will direct a portion of the proceeds to the Second Amendment Foundation to acknowledge the organization's pivotal role in the Heller case and its ongoing efforts to preserve the Second Amendment rights of U.S. citizens. The Smith & Wesson Model 442 will be laser engraved with an insignia to commemorate the ruling by the Supreme Court. On the right side plate of the revolver, the scale of justice is depicted with the wording "D.C. vs. Heller" across the scale. The balance is in favor of the "Heller" name with the court date of "June 26, 2008" positioned across the top. Underneath the scale, the side plate reads "Second Amendment" and "The right to keep and bear arms" in white lettering. Product Number: 150505 MSRP: $575.00

Here you go. I haven't sat down and verified every statement made in the video but the claims seem to mirror those that I have seen substantiated in other materials. [ame] [/ame]

Tungsten's CQBR build... MK18 Clone

You're pissin' on my excitement here. -
All of which points to... you and her need to drag your butts to Nashville in September or October and attend a TGO shoot. Maybe once you get your SBR project done as well so that it'll be a worthwhile trip.

No, I meant that my wife's a good shot. The only shot I've seen your wife make was with my S&W snub nose and that's only because she was aiming at the ground. She pretty much had to make that one.

Clinton pandered to the young voter and was in like Flynn. Remember his silly saxophone solo on the Arsenio Hall Show? The guy really knew who his target demographic was and worked them hard. Obama's machine scored a huge hits by getting Oprah to endorse him, by selling him as something of a "sex object" with those goofy photos of him running shirtless on a beach somewhere (hey... didn't Vladamir Putin do something like that too?), and most recently by selling him to European and Mid-Eastern societies. The latter of which should have absolutely no bearing on his electability, but you and I know that the sinister undertone to this is "Hey America, look at how much Europe and the Arab nations love me. And if you elect me, they will return to loving America too!" It's enough to make me want to vomit.

I'm not that brave. She's too good of a shot!

PS: I think we all may as well go ahead and start getting used to hearing the phrase "President Obama" anyway. I'm no conspiracy theorist but I think the guy has more than enough charisma to mindbend the overwhelmingly apathetic, McDonald's mindset voter into putting him into office entirely under the mantra of "CHANGE". Apparently he doesn't have to tell us what change or how. All the lazy voters care is that he's preaching change and change sounds good to them right now. For ****'s sake... change sounds awfully good to me right now too, but I'd at least like GOOD change that is GOOD for this country as a whole and not some Marxist dismantling of our core beliefs and values.

Agreed 1,000% on both fronts.

*sigh* I consider myself to be pretty Libertarian in ideals. Live and let live. Less government. More personal responsibility. Blah blah blah. The problem with voting Libertarian is that doing so is futile at this point. Sure, voting 3rd Party makes for some great anti-establishment chest beating and maybe makes you feel good about not being a cog in the machine, but come November 3rd when you have to wake up and practice saying the words "President Obama" all of that feel-good posturing pretty much goes out the ****ing window. I am not happy about voting for McCain. I hate the fact that George W. Bush's second term was an utter failure. It has done more for the Democrats in '08 than anything else could have. Somewhere along the way since 2004, Shrub forgot how to hold the line and started scrambling around trying to make everyone happy (impossible) and ended up pissing off the people who elected him in the first place. So do I relish the idea of voting McCain into office? No. But I absolutely abhor the idea of voting Obama into office and will cast my one vote in the most effective way possible to ensure that he has an uphill battle getting there. And despite the most earnest dreams of every 3rd Party, Anti-Obama voter out there, that means casting a ballot for McCain. Because in the real world he is the only person who stands half a chance of defeating Obama at the polls. I may be letting myself be "used" by the GOP, but I'm at least refusing to surrender to the Hype, Hope, Change rhetoric of the Obama machine.

I still giggle when I see the Springfield ads in magazines showing a couple of thumbs with helmets on them. Thumb Safeties.

Looks like my wait officially begins today. -
One of these days (soon I guess) I am going to have to get into the black art of reloading my own ammo. In the meantime I thought it might be fun and educational to see photos of reloading benches. Post 'em up if you have 'em!

It's a little known fact that one of us flipped the photo for our avatar. We were actually shooting at each other in the original photo. We're so tactical, that's how we train.

Ignore the noise in the thread. Your questions were legitimate and others sought to spoil the thread by using it to make a statement. This soon will pass and we'll all be able to get back to just enjoying talking about guns without any of the schoolyard politics.

Hmmm... be hit with a heavy slow moving projectile, or be hit with a small fast moving projectile... decisions, decisions!

Made entirely of ceramic. Costs more than most people make in a month.

Verbal's "Better than Tungsten's" CQBR build...

I think he's allergic to .45ACP -
Verbal forgot the most important part of the Glock... you can leave it in your hotel room, because "no one will steal it... it's just a Glock." Beyotch!

Jason, let's all be thankful it wasn't a bowling ball or pair of golf cleats.

I'm going to assume you're supportive of this. If so, thanks. It simply is not fair to our supporting vendors to keep allowing this childish underhanded advertising to happen without being addressed. These vendors have been exceedingly patient as the Staff has tried to handle it with at least a little diplomacy. My diplomacy has run dry. It has to stop.
