Williamson County Commission to Consider Attack on Right-to-Carry on Monday, September Please Stand-Up and Make Your Voice Heard! On Monday, September 8, the Williamson County Commission will hear an anti-gun proposal, Resolution No. 9-08-31. Resolution No. 9-08-31 attempts to impose new restrictions on law-abiding citizens’ Right-to-Carry in Williamson County. Resolution No. 9-08-31 would establish a policy prohibiting guns in all buildings owned and controlled by Williamson County and to direct signs providing notice be posted at the entrance ways of each building. Passing this resolution will do nothing to thwart violent crime, but instead will create an ambiguous boundary preventing law-abiding citizens from carrying a firearm for self-defense even where they have a legal right to be. Please click here to view the packet of September Resolutions. Resolution No. 9-08-31 can be found on Page 54 of 57. This proposal will require a Majority (13 of 24 Commissioners) to pass or fail. Please attend this meeting at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, September 8 in the auditorium of the Williamson County Administrative Building, located at 1320 West Main Street in Franklin, to show your opposition to this attack on Right-to-Carry. If you are unable to attend, please contact your County Commissioner in opposition of Resolution No. 9-08-31. Contact information can be found below. I was getting ready to change Verbal's title to Turd Burglar but since he's a benefactor, he'd just change it back.

Reasons Why You Might Want This Decal

It appears that the current trend is for the tax stamp to be in your hands about 30 days from the date you go pending.

It works as advertised. Just copy and paste. Not sure why it didn't work for the OP.

It's funny, Mars. I've been saying those exact same things to people all morning here at work and on a couple of other forums. Rudy did all of the heavy hitting last night that was needed from the podium. He did a fine job of beating down the Obama / Biden ticket. Palin really only needed to spend about 10 minutes of her speach addressing the bull**** claims that the Dems and Liberal media have been lodging against her. After that, it would have been better use of her time (and ours) if she had started addressing the issues and telling us what she and McCain plan to do to turn things around. I think we all agree that this country needs some CHANGE. But as Rudy pointed out, there is GOOD change and then there is BAD change. Obviously we want GOOD change, so I want to know how this GOP ticket plans to set it into motion. Let's hear about the foreign and domestic policy changes! After a while her barbs and one liners started to bore me. It was like watching a Dennis Miller segment. Sure, she let loose with some intellectual right hooks but at the end I was left with the impression that I had just witnessed a smart person make a dumb person look... well... dumb. Lots of spark, not much fire.

Real people? Ok...

It was a good speech and I'm a supporter ... but I got bored of the one-liners and coy remarks about Obama. It was kind of like watching Mike Tyson work over the highschool bully. Sure, she kicked his ass but after a while you just want to see the heavyweight stop smacking around the punk ass kid. Y'know?

Is "killing it" a good thing or a bad thing?

Banned permanently. Guests of the house don't make the rules, the host does. If you don't like the rules, find someplace else to hang out.

5.45x39mm a good choice or is ammo going to get scarce?
TGO David replied to TGO David's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Smith & Wesson is already selling complete M&P 15R carbines and 15R uppers. Olympic Arms is the other player right now. Not sure of others. All mags are C-Products mags so far and performance out of the mags has been spotty. Those running regular 5.56 GI mags are often having problems with rounds nose-diving inside the mag tube. -
Funny you should ask about the HCP. No. She called today and after giving them the 3rd Degree about having exceeded the 90 day window, they promised her that it was being issued today and [wait for it... wait for iiiit...] she would have it within 7-10 days. They have been promising her 7-10s for the past six weeks. I sent my nasty letter to the Commissioner via certified mail this afternoon and included a copy to my State Representative also by certified mail. As for the grips, no to that as well. Smith & Wesson sold me a set but then never charged my card or shipped any to me. The last time I talked to them about the grips, I was told that they were part of a special production run for a major distributor and were not available for sale separately nor would they be anytime soon. Smith & Wesson's repair service seems to be run by a completely different caliber of personnel than their parts and accessories department. The former gives great customer service. The latter seems to be unable to find their asses with both hands.
