  1. Indeed he would have been right there to put forth his take on Glocks. Welcome to the site, CJ. I hope that you'll visit with us periodically... if for nothing else than just to reminisce about Shannon. Undoubtedly you will always find a few of us here willing to do so.
  2. It's a shame we don't have room in the house (or enough land) to own another Doberman. I'd love to have two just so I could refer to them as "The Lads" a-la Higgins on Magnum PI.
  3. x2 ... I have seen a few handguns with the front blade painted with that and it looked good.
  4. For what it's worth, John Harris (esq) agrees with the OP on this subject. But he also agrees that this stupid law needs to be changed.
  5. Here are a few pictures of our new "baby", Maximus. He's a 2 year old Doberman rescue. Great personality. Lots of slobbery enthusiasm.
  6. Sorry to hear about Nitro's passing. 11 years is quite a bit of time. I bet he lived a full life.
  7. Mike, you're not alone. Since this all came to a head, I was given the opportunity to visit with my kids. Because of band and cheerleading, they haven't been able to visit me since the start of the school year. I've got to put family first when these opportunities come up... so I won't be making the trek to East TN this time.
  8. That's not happening for me on Firefox (mac or PC). It does happen with MSIE 8.0 Beta but I think it has something to do with Winblows Search.
  9. Just wanted to say... the wait is KILLING ME.
  10. I don't have a 34 ... yet. But this 9L is really growing on me. Unfortunately it didn't run perfectly out of the box and I had to make the guide-rod and spring changes to remedy the situation. My Glocks, on the other hand, have always been 100% fresh out of the tupperware.
  11. Bump for revised versions of the photos. They looked fine on my Macbook but were a little dark on the PC screen. Adjusted the white balance and exposure in Lightroom and re-posted them to the web. Enjoy.
  12. WHEN: SUNDAY OCTOBER 19th @ 11:00am WHAT: Middle Tennessee TGO Meet & Shoot WHERE: Spring Hill, TN (Owl Hollow Gun Club) Cost to shoot is $5.00 per person. Directions To Owl Hollow Gun Club Range is located approximately 10 miles south of downtown Franklin, Tennessee in Williamson county. From I-65 South/North take the Peytonsville Road exit, #61; go West about .7 mile to the red light at South US 431 (Lewisburg Pike); turn South (towards Lewisburg) onto US 431 and go approximately 6.5 miles to Owl Hollow Road; turn west onto Owl Hollow Road; the range is located approximately 1.1 miles on the left side of the road. 13. Considering that the thread is about the attempted rape of a 17 year old girl, I'm not sure that picture is going to be warmly received. Glad to hear that the perp got the **** choked out of him though. Mad props to the dad for doing the job old-school style.
  14. Thankfully I'm not going to actually get one of those. I've been eying the 5.11 Big Horn jackets though.
  15. Heck, I want another myself. I've been thinking about another 4-inch M&P 40.
  16. Those shotties rock. I got to shoot Molonlabetn's at a get together a while back. I'd love to have one myself.
  17. Mine is due in January. Hunter's is due in November I believe. SWEEEET!!!! If I were Al Quaeda, I'd be all over this... declaring jihad on dirty diapers! You know, I do have a spare S&W freebie range bag that I got as a rebate a while back. Hmmm...
  18. Not a floor. Those are tiles in our coffee table.
  19. I've been wanting to get a new fleece jacket for the colder weather ahead and my wife found one that's actually a concealed carry jacket. Tell me what you think. HunterH ... this is for us, man! You ready?
  20. Man... I wish I had as much time as my brother to sit around and catch reposts.
  21. Yes, I like them a lot. It came with black. I ordered the FDE inserts from S&W after liking how the FDE and black combo looked on my SBR project.
  22. Thanks. JWP had offered CCA's services to refinish the slide in FDE to match but I think I am going to hold off and keep it as-is for the time being. The photochop I did of it in FDE looked interesting but I'm going to keep it utilitarian.
  23. It is still in the works. I'm going to close the thread for the time being. We've had a lot of offers of assistance and I think we've made all the progress we can and must just wait it out now.
