  1. In before someone comments on the haphazard way those weapons were stacked in the truck.
  2. They do not allow any human silhouette targets so the IDPA target likely will not be permitted. I ran into this the last time I shot there.
  3. BB gun Ruger 10/22 rifle 1911 Glock 9mm AR15
  4. We've got two of those. Ginger, the one that looks the most like Maggie, will play tug of war with you until you surrender. If you tied a rope to a tree, she would tug until the tree gave up. Seriously. And yeah, she can pull me around when we play tug. It's amazing what these little f'kers are capable of. We had to bring the Doberman in to break the two of them of their "small dog syndrome". Nothing stops the foolishness like 90lbs of woof.
  5. There's integrity in honesty like this.
  6. If you promise to ditch the underglow lighting, I promise not to make any Purple Rain references.
  7. Actually timing lights look more like hair dryers. The 36 isn't exactly indicative of the ergos of other Glocks being that it is a single stack and has a short grip frame. Just like the ergos of the Subcompacts, Compacts and Full-Size Glocks all differ from each other. But whatever floats your boat. One of the nice things about capitalism is that you have a myriad of choices out there for handguns so you get to pick the one you like the best.
  8. Shotguns are allowed but you are required to police up your shot hulls after you're done. $5.00 is for non-members. The $50 membership fee is not required since everyone will be shooting as guests of OHGC members. As long as you don't run out and get targets while everyone's shooting, you should go home with the same number of orifices that you came with.
  9. Ever since the 9L and 9Pro were introduced at the SHOT show, rumor has been rampant that they will add a .45ACP version of each to the mix. I think that would be a wise move for S&W since more than a few SWAT teams prefer that cartridge and prefer a 5-inch barrel for the sight radius and improved muzzle velocity.
  10. Indeed he would have been right there to put forth his take on Glocks. Welcome to the site, CJ. I hope that you'll visit with us periodically... if for nothing else than just to reminisce about Shannon. Undoubtedly you will always find a few of us here willing to do so.
  11. It's a shame we don't have room in the house (or enough land) to own another Doberman. I'd love to have two just so I could refer to them as "The Lads" a-la Higgins on Magnum PI.
  12. x2 ... I have seen a few handguns with the front blade painted with that and it looked good.
  13. For what it's worth, John Harris (esq) agrees with the OP on this subject. But he also agrees that this stupid law needs to be changed.
  14. Here are a few pictures of our new "baby", Maximus. He's a 2 year old Doberman rescue. Great personality. Lots of slobbery enthusiasm.
  15. Sorry to hear about Nitro's passing. 11 years is quite a bit of time. I bet he lived a full life.
  16. Mike, you're not alone. Since this all came to a head, I was given the opportunity to visit with my kids. Because of band and cheerleading, they haven't been able to visit me since the start of the school year. I've got to put family first when these opportunities come up... so I won't be making the trek to East TN this time.
  17. That's not happening for me on Firefox (mac or PC). It does happen with MSIE 8.0 Beta but I think it has something to do with Winblows Search.
  18. Just wanted to say... the wait is KILLING ME.
  19. I don't have a 34 ... yet. But this 9L is really growing on me. Unfortunately it didn't run perfectly out of the box and I had to make the guide-rod and spring changes to remedy the situation. My Glocks, on the other hand, have always been 100% fresh out of the tupperware.
  20. Bump for revised versions of the photos. They looked fine on my Macbook but were a little dark on the PC screen. Adjusted the white balance and exposure in Lightroom and re-posted them to the web. Enjoy.

  22. Considering that the thread is about the attempted rape of a 17 year old girl, I'm not sure that picture is going to be warmly received. Glad to hear that the perp got the **** choked out of him though. Mad props to the dad for doing the job old-school style.
  23. Thankfully I'm not going to actually get one of those. I've been eying the 5.11 Big Horn jackets though.
  24. Heck, I want another myself. I've been thinking about another 4-inch M&P 40.
