Tasteless. But I admit that the line "Bad polar bear!" made me laugh.

I was just sitting here thinking about The Todd from Scrubs. "The Biden appreciates hot regardless of gender". -

Anyone else notice the similarities between Biden and the evil Count Olaf in Lemony Snicket? -
Let's use this thread as an AAR for the Biden / Palin VP candidate debate. I'll try to clean the puke out of my shoes before we start.

There's nothing against it in the rules, so I'd say go right on ahead. The only mention alcoholic beverages as being forbidden. -
I figured you would enjoy the mention of the Tavor.

Non-permanent Resident Gun Ownership in TN
TGO David replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Red emphasis = mine. It appears that an alien here has a legal avenue to own a firearm. But I would contact the BATFE branch office nearest you and ask for written clarification. Despite common assumptions to the contrary, the BATFE agents that I have had the pleasure of interacting with have all been very helpful and cordial. Just be sure that you get a written statement that it is permissible for you to own a handgun. Verbal statements aren't worth the air dispelled to make them. Good luck -
Taken from elsewhere.... Acutally, it never really left... Back in 1990-91, KBI introduced the Jericho 041 pistol to the US market. It was a joint venture with Tanfoglio of Italy and IMI (Uzi fame) of Tel Aviv. The chief attraction of the gun (kit actually) was the interchangeability of the 9mm para round with the .41AE (Action Express). We sold it in a kit that included the 9mm pistol, a .41AE spare barrel and recoil spring/guide stem, 4 hi-cap mags (2-9mm and 2-41AE) 50 rounds of Israeli made 9mm and 50 rounds of 41AE, a Rig cleaning kit with brushes for both calibers, all packed in a blow molded carrying case. To make a long story short, the .41AE was DOA as we finally got it to market at the same time that Federal and S&W announced the .40S&W. The "not invented here" syndrome doomed the 41AE from the start and soon after we were left selling "just another" hi-cap CZ-type 9mm pistol. The quality was excellent, the design followed the lines of the famous Desert Eagle and lent itself to perfect balance. It also had a unique backstrap design that some equate with the Browining Hi-Power as being the two most ergonomically designed grips to be found on any pistol available in the market. It naturally fits just about any sized hand, large or small, skinny or fat. Unfortunately for us at the time, IMI was not happy with our early sales volume (or so we were told). I always believed that Magnum wanted the line and pushed IMI to take it away from KBI and give it to them. In the middle of the SHOT Show during that second year of our trying to get it started, a representative from IMI came to our booth and told us they were taking Jericho away form us and giving it to MRI. Why am I telling you this story now??? Fast forward almost 20 years later and lo and behold, KBI is pleased to announce that effective January 1st 2009, KBI will be bringing the Jericho pistol back to the US market. MRI is moving the Desert Eagle production to the US and in the process they lost the distribution of the Baby Eagle. KBI was there to pick it up and even though I am emotionally tied to the line, I think there is a home for this pistol in the US market under the Jericho brand, imported and distributed by KBI. These days it is a full line consisting of 3 sizes and 3 calibers, 9mm, 40S&W and .45ACP; and available in both polymer and steel frames. Recently MRI introduced the Baby Eagle II which added a picatinnly light/laser rail and improved LPA/Novak style sights. Meprolight tritium sights will also be an option. My question to you guys is pretty basic. What do you think of this line? At its heart it is a CZ-75 DA pistol, though MRI sold a version with a slide mounted safety/decocker. We are considering offering it in the original CZ system only, i.e. with a frame mounted saftey that can be carried cocked and locked. You can see more of the line here at Israel-Weapon.com. A full blown (Re)introduction will take place at the 2009 SHOT Show in Orlando in January. In the meantime, as we like to do, we would appreciate all your feeback, pros and cons, as we still have time to tweak the line before finalizing all specs for production. Let us know what you really think. We realize it is not a Glock or an XD, but is there still a home in the US market for this gun? And, of course one of the real motivations behind our interest in the Jericho, is our extreme interest in the Tavor Bullpup rifle now in use by the IDF and a few armies and special forces around the world. What do you guys think of the Tavor? Will the US military ever really consider a bullpup design? The Tavor is something very special. You can learn more about it here: Tavor Link and the really cool Micro-Tavor. What do you think? Don't hold back guys...tell us how you really feel...Kinda makes a hell of an addition to Charles Daly Defense don't you think? We look forward to hearing from you. That is freaking awesome.

In before someone comments on the haphazard way those weapons were stacked in the truck.

They do not allow any human silhouette targets so the IDPA target likely will not be permitted. I ran into this the last time I shot there.

We've got two of those. Ginger, the one that looks the most like Maggie, will play tug of war with you until you surrender. If you tied a rope to a tree, she would tug until the tree gave up. Seriously. And yeah, she can pull me around when we play tug. It's amazing what these little f'kers are capable of. We had to bring the Doberman in to break the two of them of their "small dog syndrome". Nothing stops the foolishness like 90lbs of woof.

Actually timing lights look more like hair dryers. The 36 isn't exactly indicative of the ergos of other Glocks being that it is a single stack and has a short grip frame. Just like the ergos of the Subcompacts, Compacts and Full-Size Glocks all differ from each other. But whatever floats your boat. One of the nice things about capitalism is that you have a myriad of choices out there for handguns so you get to pick the one you like the best.

Shotguns are allowed but you are required to police up your shot hulls after you're done. $5.00 is for non-members. The $50 membership fee is not required since everyone will be shooting as guests of OHGC members. As long as you don't run out and get targets while everyone's shooting, you should go home with the same number of orifices that you came with. -
Ever since the 9L and 9Pro were introduced at the SHOT show, rumor has been rampant that they will add a .45ACP version of each to the mix. I think that would be a wise move for S&W since more than a few SWAT teams prefer that cartridge and prefer a 5-inch barrel for the sight radius and improved muzzle velocity.

Indeed he would have been right there to put forth his take on Glocks. Welcome to the site, CJ. I hope that you'll visit with us periodically... if for nothing else than just to reminisce about Shannon. Undoubtedly you will always find a few of us here willing to do so.

It's a shame we don't have room in the house (or enough land) to own another Doberman. I'd love to have two just so I could refer to them as "The Lads" a-la Higgins on Magnum PI.

x2 ... I have seen a few handguns with the front blade painted with that and it looked good.
