  1. I'm not typically either but I have space on my range bags that could use some... uh... flair. And I've found that it makes it easier to identify the TGO group (or a TGO member) at the range when you spot someone wearing a hat or shirt with the logo. It'd be kind of cool to eventually get the TGO name out there in USPSA / IDPA matches when people are shooting too.
  2. This would be a nice addition.
  3. I am curious as to whether anyone here would be interested in "Official TGO" patches that could be ironed or sewn onto range bags, shooting vests and other such gear? The logo would be identical to the one we use on the site and as featured on the TGO hats and shirts that Joe @ Hero Gear had done for us in the past. Dimensions would be around 3.75 by 1.25 inches (W x H) and they would be embroidered in full color with a "coyote brown" backing and black border stitching. Pricing to be determined but I suspect they would be just a few bucks as long as we stay with a heat n' stick backing. If we were to do something more elaborate like hook and loop the price would probably go up some. I am going to get quotes both ways.
  4. I think it looks good and would definitely stand out on the road. It would be good if there was more shading around the white text to make it jump off the background, though. It's hard to tell with a rendering.
  5. My Beltman belt is the 7-hole variety. As others have said, the extra holes and closer spacing gives you more versatility depending on how you are carrying.
  6. The SBR project in various stages of dress while I was assembling it.
  7. As soon as we get into the new year, I'm going to build our other AR but probably just stick with the standard 16" bbl on that one. I can't wait, though. Building them is as much fun as shooting them! If I have it dialed in by the 19th, I won't have any problems letting people put rounds down range with it. See above. I have a spreadsheet somewhere that kept track of the ongoing cost earlier in the project. I'm afraid to look at it as I stopped updating it somewhere mid-build. My wife reads the forum too much. Yeah the full-auto pictograms are a Spike's thing. It sure would be nice to have that third firing position, but I like my cornhole the way it is right now and don't care much for Club Fed. Thanks man! I have to confess, you started this madness when you let me shoot your full-auto SBR at the range that day.
  8. I am going to try to have it sighted in before the 19th. The really crappy thing about this is that my schedule is literally packed every weekend day leading up to the 19th.
  9. Ammo seems to be your department, Mr. Reloader.
  10. Tax stamp arrived! Here is my SBR project, based loosely off of the US Navy MK18 close quarters battle rifle. All furniture is Magpul in Dark Flat Earth. 11. A kydex holster for a Hi-Point probably looks like a VHS cassette case.
  12. Somewhere, someone else is saying that same thing about a Lorcin also.
  13. Let's leave the off-topic harassment out of the thread. This forum is for discussing competitive shooting sports, not real-world tactical ninja stuff.
  14. He has an upper and lower block kit that I had on hand. I guess both of us forgot to post that I had one for him.
  15. My wife and I had a talk last night after reading this thread. She understands that this would probably get someone shot. Now on the other hand, I absolutely want to know where the bloody arm came from so that I can let our Doberman gleefully prance around with it in his mouth when the Trick or Treaters come.
  16. Sadly it seems that nothing much has changed over there since the last time I went.
  17. Tower, that sounds really nice. Is there any way at some point you could take a picture of the view up there and post it for those of us who weren't able to make it? Thanks!
  18. This used to be an HTML how-to guide hosted by the Maryland AR15 Shooters site but the document was missing the last time I tried to search for it. So I revived a copy that I had saved, cleaned it up in MS Word and then saved it back off as an Adobe PDF file. You can download it directly from this post. Summary: Improved Battlesight Zero.pdf
  19. You should have given him directions to East Side.
  20. There was a recent thread about this on M4C and someone referenced a similar thread on barfcom. Based on everything I read, I would spend the extra and go with the TacSol upper hands down. I have no issues with my Spike's lower but TacSol is well established in the .22LR world and their customer service is reported as being top, top notch.
  21. I've run the stock polymer furniture on my Remington 7600 since the day I bought it. Have had no need to replace it for accuracy's sake and have taken plenty of deer and a handful of coyotes with it.
  22. Yeah, we really like him. The two Bostons are really low maintenance and together maybe equal the vet requirements of one bigger dog. That's the only saving grace for us. Hopefully Max won't need a whole lot of Vet attention other than the normal annual checkups and such.
  23. Well Max is back at work with me again today. It appears that he caught tracheobronchitis (kennel cough) while he was at the shelter. It's not uncommon at all for this to happen. Lots of sneezing, lots of coughing. They put him on an antibiotic but two of the side effects of it are that he is extremely thirsty and extremely sleepy. So he'll probably spend most of the day passed out on the floor with his water bowl in front of him but need bathroom breaks during the times when he is awake. Poor little monkey.
  24. We had one of their RSO's sign up here in the early days of the forum and he didn't last very long with us. Quite a few people, myself included, tore into him about some of the same things you guys are saying. Just ask HunterH... people become RSO's because they are power mad! (just kidding, Hunter)
