  1. Do people not read the Announcements forum anymore? http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12781
  2. http://www.slate.com/id/1007689/
  3. Good grief... the silly admin log shows that my account deleted them. I'm not sure what the heck is going on.
  4. The classifieds system has been acting oddly.
  5. Not to totally jack up this thread, but the reports from Camp M&P Lovin' are that the .45ACP versions are insanely reliable for some reason whereas the 9mm versions are still the ones with the highest incident of problems out of the box. Could be that the 9mm are just more popular, etc. I'm definitely not in love with my M&P 9L. I am tempted to trade it in for an M&P 45 4-inch with thumb safety. Of course we know what I carry every day and trust my life to. Glock all the way.
  6. I want to hear the full context of the statements being made.
  7. The Glock slide and barrel remain serialized to your original firearm.
  8. I'd have to see one in person before passing judgment. It seems that they borrowed a lot of the design concepts that made the M&P automatics more ergonomic than the Glock. This is a good thing for Glock fans, but the M&P is still a better cost value.
  9. Yep... perfectly legal for them to do so. When you're on public waterways, you have no expectations of "privacy" and the boat is not an extension of your home. No such thing as unlawful search and seizure.
  10. Posts like this remind me of why it is almost guaranteed that some people will be mislead by things said here and why forums don't make good sources of solid information. Discussion, yes. Information, no. The only way to change that would result in outcries of "censorship". Regardless, the items that I highlighted in red are patently false and should not be considered as being gospel truths. There is far too much evidence to the contrary on both counts.
  11. I'm getting tired of the silly, baseless brand bashing from this guy ... so I am giving him a temporary 3-day vacation from the site during which time he should try to think of some ways to participate in gun recommendation threads without sounding like a broken record. I tried to find some of his posts where he wasn't spouting off a lot of anti-Glock nonsense and couldn't come up with very many.
  12. 15 posts since December of 2007? Get busy!
  13. Bumping a listing is allowed once every 7 days. Will look into the other issues as time permits tomorrow.
  14. Sorry, didn't mean to shoot so close to you there. For the record, I'm a pretty big stickler on grammatical errors. But I also realize that the majority of people walking the streets these days are pretty stupid and that belaboring the issue of comma placement on a silly shirt is.. well... pedantic. How many times have you seen a sign outside a store advertising "Sandwich's on sale 2 for 1" and wondered what item belonging to the sandwich they were selling? How many times did that keep you from eating two? Food (pardon the pun) for thought.
  15. You missed where it says "Moderator" under Triple Digit's user name. Oh... wait...
  16. Possible outcomes of wearing this shirt... 1. People will "get it" and laugh 2. People will "get it" and challenge you 3. Logic / grammar / political geeks will take issue with some error in the phraseology and make fun of you on the Internet I'd probably be in the first group.
  17. 1. I am the only one who will be adding to this thread. I will add pictures from people who have finished their work. Mods, please don't add anything to the thread. 2. I will add a poll to this thread once voting is ready to begin. 3. Do a little dance, get a drink of water.
  18. CQB, the CDI [chicks dig it] factor and the fact that somewhere, some bureaucrat passed a law saying that a short barrel was a menace to society and that I as a freedom loving American should not be allowed to own one. For me it's a lawfully executed, politically motivated FINGER in the face of Nancy Pelosis and Brady Groups everywhere.
  19. With the right holster, sure you could carry the XD-M. The grip length isn't much longer than that of the Glock 19 and barrel length is rarely an issue unless you're talking about an 8" revolver or something.
  20. It took me several years to score a deer of that quality. Wow!
  21. I really liked my 40's and will have another one of these days. Not sure which.
  22. I'll work at putting the pics in Post #1.
  23. gcrookston... that thing is awesome looking. More info?
  24. I think it just depends on your comfort level, proficiency with the cartridge in question, and where and how you will be deploying it. Marswolf was a fan of the .40SW in urban settings because of the round's ability to punch through intermediate barriers and not lose too much of it's velocity or mass.
