  1. I've got two that are grown (teens) and don't care anything about it. We're really looking forward to getting to do that all over again with the one on the way.
  2. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ9SHIeBV7A[/ame] This is why I want a suppressor that I can use on my AR and the 10/22.
  3. My doberman has been making "treats" for those kids for the past two weeks.
  4. Al Gore is in your pumpkinz, stealing your seedz!!1
  5. Handing out candy? Hiding and pretending like no one is home? Laying in wait with the water hose for kids who try to come by and cause mischief? Something else entirely? I'm 36 years old. I shouldn't be as giddy about Halloween as I am, but I love it. My wife and I are looking forward to handing out treats to the kids in our neighborhood tonight.
  6. I've got a full day lined up tomorrow but I might try to swing by there.
  7. Say... you still have that FN shotgun that I'd love to have don't you? Rich mother****er!
  8. Anyone can post in our Want To Buy forum but only people with 30/50 or people who just opt to jump in head first and become a Benefactor are allowed to post in the for-sale areas. It just keeps us from being spammed by people with no interest in the community and only in it to sell their stuff. Pawn shops are the worst; we've had several sign up just to sell for free. As for the password issue you're having, I am guessing it's resolved since you're on here now? I don't see any new member accounts pending due to emails not being received or anything like that.
  9. I posted a link to a story refuting Obama's "African American" heritage a few days ago. In that story, the author made a fairly secure case against those claims by pointing out that Obama's name and his heritage are very much Muslim and not African. He is about as black as I am, and I'm the whitest guy I know. Indeed it sickens me to think that we're at war with Muslim extremists and that the fundamental roots of Islam do not allow them to coexist peacefully with anyone who is not a Muslim... anyone who is an Infidel; yet here we are on the verge of having a man with indisputable ties to Muslim culture being elected as the next Commander in Chief. I think that the Liberal American sheep are so distraught over the fact that Muslim fanatics want to kill us, that at some base, perhaps even subconscious level they have rationalized that having a POTUS with Muslim heritage will take us out of the crosshairs. AND, even if it does... at what cost will it be? Obama's status as a naturalized citizen has been called to question and yet the mainstream media refuses to give it any attention. His campaign has sued to keep it quiet and sued to keep it tied up in the courts where it cannot do any immediate damage to him. Very, very tricky. Very, very underhanded. Very, very suspect. I'm nauseated by the thought of this man sitting in the White House. I'm nauseated at the thought of having to refer to him as our President. I'm nauseated at the thought that I would prefer a dozen John Kerrys or Al Gores to this Obamination. I'm nauseated that so many of this nation's socially articulate, well educated, intellectual elitists are so willing to put aside true logic and reason, and pander for a false sense of HOPE. Yes, we need change in our country. Desperately. But we don't need THIS kind of change and I'm scared as hell that we're going to get it no matter what. God help us.
  10. By Tim Reid, The Times of London Barack Obama's senior advisers have drawn up plans to lower expectations for his presidency if he wins next week's election, amid concerns that many of his euphoric supporters are harboring unrealistic hopes of what he can achieve. The sudden financial crisis and the prospect of a deep and painful recession have increased the urgency inside the Obama team to bring people down to earth, after a campaign in which his soaring rhetoric and promises of "hope" and "change" are now confronted with the reality of a stricken economy. One senior adviser told The Times that the first few weeks of the transition, immediately after the election, were critical, "so there's not a vast mood swing from exhilaration and euphoria to despair." The aide said that Obama himself was the first to realize that expectations risked being inflated. In an interview with a Colorado radio station, Obama appeared to be engaged already in expectation lowering. Asked about his goals for the first hundred days, he said he would need more time to tackle such big and costly issues as health care reform, global warming and Iraq. "The first hundred days is going to be important, but it's probably going to be the first thousand days that makes the difference," he said. He has also been reminding crowds in recent days how "hard" it will be to achieve his goals, and that it will take time. "I won't stand here and pretend that any of this will be easy -- especially now," Obama told a rally in Sarasota, Florida, yesterday, citing "the cost of this economic crisis, and the cost of the war in Iraq." Obama's transition team is headed by John Podesta, a Washington veteran and a former chief-of-staff to Bill Clinton. He has spent months overseeing a virtual Democratic government-in-exile to plan a smooth transition should Obama emerge victorious next week. The plans are so far advanced that an Obama Cabinet has been largely decided upon, with the expectation that most of his senior appointments could be announced shortly after election day.
  11. Tennessee state law says that anyone with a disability, and visibly pregnant expecting mothers may be moved to the front of the line. I think it's a fair accomodation, but my wife... who is a visibly expecting pregnant mother, stood in line with the rest of us.
  12. Counseling has been scheduled. I'm going to show him how wealth re-distribution works by giving 60% of his allowance to his sister for doing absolutely nothing, then I'm going to tax him on 30% of what's left.
  13. If she writes in Mark Wahlberg and Talks To Animals as her candidates, I'm smacking her the next time I see you guys.
  14. Just remember to pistol-whip her off premises. You can't take the gun with you onto the polling grounds, but she should be made fully aware that it's waiting for her back in the car and that a beating will ensue if she doesn't vote properly.
  15. First Place... Verbal Kint Second Place... DRM Third Place... Musicman Congratulations, guys. And thanks to all of you who participated! There wasn't a single "loser" in the bunch. All of these kicked much butt.
  16. Voting closes in 30 minutes... get those last few ballots in!
  17. For the record, I was just giving the OP crap because that's what guys do to each other. Now if he doesn't vote on Nov 4th regardless of how long the line is...
  18. Happy Hallobirthaween?
  19. Yeah, that scene is from the movie V for Vendetta when the totalitarian regime was in place.
  20. So how much is a small order, Mike?
  21. If memory serves, you weren't asking questions when you got your fingers slapped. There's a difference.
  22. Good luck on getting through any faster on the 4th. Last time, I waited 3 - 4 hrs in line and spent most of the time checking the exit poll results on my PDA. I figured if our forefathers could give their lives fighting against the British, if our soldiers could give their lives fighting in hot spots all over the world, then I could spare 4hrs indoors, out of the rain, in a warm gymnasium waiting for my turn to cast a ballot.
  23. Don't know, OS. They have been available for a while now but for some reason S&W never got around to updating their page. They aren't exactly known for keeping their site current though.
