  1. And... happy Wednesday to everyone else.
  2. Two three-day TEMPORARY bans issued to Canadien Mike and Double Tap for stirring up a fight. They can use this vacation to cool down. Closing this thread.
  3. Stick to attacking the issue and not each other, please.
  4. This thread is going well.
  5. Moving to general Off-Topic. The events and gatherings forum is for physical get togethers of TGO members.

    XS Sights..

Poor XS, they probably don't realize the stigma that comes with that particular Camden, TN endorsement. That being said, I have shot a few handguns with XS sights and thought they worked pretty good. If you like them, give them a spin. Don't see how you could go wrong with them
  7. Upon further review of this odd leather-lined kydex mutant, I have come to the conclusion that this is a perfect example of a solution looking for a problem.
  8. Nah, haven't had a chance to soil the barrel any yet. Maybe this upcoming weekend.
  9. Being that he's a small, one man shop, I think I'm just going to stick to paying his full asking price. I'd feel better not asking him to cut his profit margin.
  10. Thanks for reminding me of the Aholster fellow. I couldn't remember the name and have been wanting to order one for my 442.
  11. No, it was an anti man-on-man fellatio remark. FWIW, the Dicks price is cheaper than what I gave, but you have to find a store that has them. I'm not saying how much cheaper or anything more than that. It's just funny that you can tell people here where to find a smoking deal on anything, and the usual suspects arrive on scene with a better source or a better price or whatever. Which is pretty much why I don't care to say exactly what I paid or where I got it. Congrats! How do you like the 642? They make sweet little pocket guns don't they?
  12. Thanks. I'm thinking... CIS Defensive Shotgun class, 2009.
  13. You are 13 posts shy of having the 31st post and your opinion counting.
  14. I'm happy to say that I supported a small business with my purchase and didn't have to "bob for dreidles" to get a good price.
  15. I'm sure they could. I merely presented a source that reportedly has some very good pricing on the 930 SPX when it is in stock. I was surprised to see this one on the wall of the shop from which I bought it. Even more surprised by the price point.
  16. This site has a very comprehensive overview of the 930 SPX and lots of good pictures: http://www.weaponevolution.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16
  17. I would. The radiation given off by their tritium will cause your babies to have two heads and tentacles.
  18. My gut lingers albeit smaller than it was earlier this year. I can tell you that even with my tool-shed pressing against the grip of the gun, my MTAC holsters have presented no appreciable wear on the finish of any of the firearms that I've carried in them.
  19. I broke a Trijicon sight off at the base like that on my SIG 229 once. Feces occurs.
  20. The Rabbi couldn't find his ass with both hands, let alone a Mossberg 930 SPX.
  21. St. John the Infallable and his crew of moderators over at 1911.org have never met an advertiser's product that they didn't like. The 1911 E-Zine provides clearly the best reviews that spiffs and kickbacks can buy. Just take whatever you read over there with a huge spoonful of salt.
  22. Truth! You might get lucky with an MGW sight pusher and get the factory sight out without breaking it, but it's a huge might.

    VISTA USERS

Unfortunately, I do high-level I.T. work all day during the week. I see a lot of stuff get really jacked up by people who thought they were going to fix a problem by following advice that they read on the Internet, or got from a friend, or read in a magazine, etc. Often it causes security holes that techs end up having to go back in behind the user's path of destruction and fix. Obviously TGO is not a forum about computer repair. I would take anything read here with a grain or two of salt and not try any proposed fixes without researching the heck out of them first. Remember, if you try a fix proposed by someone on the Internet, you're doing it at your own risk. Chances are that person isn't going to come to your rescue and fix your computer for you if it goes wrong. And chances are they wouldn't come fix your problem for free anyway. Caveat emptor.
