  1. Out of your finger?
  2. Have any of you heard whether expansion maps or additional missions are planned for L4D? My wife and I used to play this game for hours on end but it's gotten to where we're kind of bored of it now. Some new maps or missions would really be cool.
  3. Off topic posts have been removed. Let's cut out the thread-jacking, folks.
  4. You guys need to keep bumping these threads so that I can lock them. Makes it a lot easier for me.
  5. Ok... I've just about had all of the anti-government, overthrow the tyranny, secessionist nonsense that I can stand. TGO is not the place for this junk. This thread is closed and we're going to start clamping down hard on this type of ridiculous fringe lunacy from this point forward.
  6. Why was this posted in the Newsworthy Reports forum? You need to stop spamming the forum with these silly "the sky is falling" threads and pay attention to where you're posting. The only forum that should have played host to this thread is the Off Topic lounge. Moving it.

    XD-M 9 or G-19

See below... Agreed. My first set of M&Ps were a full-size 40, a compact 40 and a compact 9. I had zero problems with the two 40 caliber models but had a few nagging issues with the 9 Compact. Enough so that I sold them all and kept looking for my "perfect carry piece". That journey took me through a few XDs, two HK P2000 models, my beloved Glock 19 (which I still own and will never part with), and eventually back to an M&P 9L which I traded off for my second and now current M&P 40 full-size. Somewhere in between 2005 when I bought my first M&P handguns and now, Smith & Wesson worked out 99% of the kinks. In fact, I have had zero issues with my M&P 40. None. It has eaten everything I've fed it without complaint, always goes bang when I pull the trigger, and is a tack driver. I love it. My Glock 19 will probably see more use again during the summer months when I want something that is a little shorter in the grip for slightly better concealment with shorts and a t-shirt. But my M&P 40 has now joined the Glock as one of three of the handguns that I own that are not up for sale or trade. Ever.

    XD-M 9 or G-19

I'd take option "C" and give a long hard look at the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm. They seem to be the best of both worlds, and this is coming from the guy who loves his Glock 19, has owned more than a few XDs and now carries his M&P 40 pretty much exclusively.
  9. I don't think you've paid attention to what this thread is about. It's not about the zombie aspect of the book; it's about the political and social commentaries made within and how they relate to things that are happening around us right now. No offense, but at 16 years of age I wasn't very observant in these areas so chances are you aren't either. I'd just sit and read and learn more than I posted if I were in that boat.
  10. The one thing that struck me the most about WWZ was the storyline regarding the 180-degree shift in the social "caste" system that we have here in the United States. Overnight, the people who were capable of doing meaningful, important tasks that would sustain society's way of life (i.e. farmers, plumbers, electricians, craftsmen, janitors, policemen, firemen, doctors, nurses, etc.) were of infinitely more value and had far greater earning potential than many of the more lucrative careers that exist now. Careers like actors, performers, producers, performers, athletes, etc. Those people suddenly found themselves doing menial tasks for paltry wages. Sounds like something that could easily happen if our economy were to collapse.
  11. I'd rather have an AR15 but that's just me. Infinite aftermarket support.
  12. Most holster manufacturers use BlueGuns to mold their holsters around unless one isn't available, then they use the actual firearm with certain precautions taken to protect the firearm and its finish.
  13. Well I must admit that when I first saw it I thought, "Another big bulky 92 series" but when I really stopped and looked at the photos I realized that it was a baby 92. And that does make it a cool piece of linguine.
  14. If I had known you needed a roofing hammer, I could have loaned you one and saved you whatever you paid for that Italian job.
  15. If this thread continues to make forays into Tinfoil Hat Territory, it will be closed. There are a lot of forums out there on which people can discuss how they will mount up an armed resistance against the Government if "they" decide to repeal the 2nd Amendment. A far better use of our time here in the World of Reality would be to mobilize against those who would do us harm by defeating them at the voting booth, and contacting our elected representatives to make our concerns known.
  16. Per the Code of Conduct : Rule #5 this thread is closed. I am not nor will I be sucked into some farcical debate over whether or not a Federal Income Tax is legal. The fact of the matter is that countless court cases have sided with the Federal Government on this issue and judgments made against tax evaders have born out that taxes shall be paid or there will be consequences. Frankly, it is my opinion that regardless of whether you agree how your money is being spent by the Government, it is still your patriotic civic duty to pay taxes if you earn wages. Each of us in some way benefits from projects that tax dollars have funded partially or in full. Whether it be something as simple as driving on a public roadway, attending a public school, using the US Postal Service or indirectly benefiting from the arrest of known criminals by your local and/or Federal law enforcement officers, or the continual protection afforded us by our men and women in the Armed Forces. Anyone who refuses to pay unto Cesar what is Cesar's cannot consider themselves a citizen. Patriot in your own mind, perhaps, but not a citizen. I would recommend that the original poster consult with a competent attorney and financial adviser at his earliest convenience. He, and anyone else who may be engaging in similar practices, will eventually need legal representation. Regardless, TGO is not the place to discuss illegal activities. There are plenty of fringe forums for that sort of thing.
  17. Closing this thread. Explanation follows.
  18. I'll rat you out if you try to use that as a referral!
  19. I've lost count of the number of times that's been posted.
  20. The 1911 is one of the easiest full-size automatics to conceal. As others have said, a good holster is important. I carry my 1911 in a Milt Sparks Versa-Max II (VM2) inside the waistband holster, or a Comp-Tac MTAC inside the waistband holster. Either would work fine for you. However, of paramount importance is your gun belt. Just any old leather belt isn't going to cut it. You need something purpose built for carrying and properly distributing the weight of your firearm, holster, spare mag, mag carrier, etc. It doesn't have to look like Batman's utility belt or even a police officer's carry rig. Many look just like the brown leather jeans belt you probably already own. I recommend www.thebeltman.net to anyone who will listen. Many TGO members have bought from him also and the reviews are always very positive. I suggest that you start there and then branch out to other vendors if you don't find something that you like. Again, do not underestimate the importance of a good, sturdy belt. It is what will make or break the comfort and concealability of whatever carry device you choose. The leather belts you buy in clothing stores are 99.9999% never thick enough or sturdy enough to both properly distribute the weight of your gear around the circumference of your hips, nor are they strong enough to pull your holster and firearm in tight enough to your body to keep them from protruding and being easily spotted beneath your cover garments.
  21. Editing the thread title. We've yet to put on an official TGO event so these things are always organized as get togethers. There is a certain amount of liability presumed when something is advertised as a TGO event. Thanks.
  22. Then, if a law has been passed making gun ownership a criminal offense, you will be a criminal.
  23. John, Rabbi has been blacklisted here for a reason. I'd appreciate it if you would dispense with the thinly veiled references to his shop. If you won't comply willingly, I'll remove you from the site the same as I did him. For what it's worth, a Glock certified armorer (Todd @ CIS) has already replied to the original poster it would seem. Thanks.
  24. I think this thread has run it's course. If the representatives from Uselton's gun shop wish to start another thread to address the rampant consumer discontent or perhaps more importantly address the hugely anti-private gun sales stance that Rick is on the record as taking, then I'll make sure that the moderators watch it closely and try to make sure people play nice. Thread closed.
