  1. Sounds like the question has been answered. Closing this before it goes the way of the other recent trainwreck threads rife with rumor, speculation an vitriol.
  2. Guys, I should have closed this thread after the initial question was more or less answered but I left it open hoping maybe someone else had a definitive answer for the OP. The thread isn't entitlted "Post things you don't like about Buford Tune".
  3. They're acrylics.
  4. Sorry... was doing my nails and not really paying attention. What was this thread about again?
  5. Friends of the NRA
  6. According to this page, only in years past... http://www.appstraining.com/backgrou.htm "Chairman, Friends of the NRA, Nashville, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005"
  7. EDC = Every Day Carry I have a Glock 19 and have no hesitation carrying it for defensive purposes. It's not my main carry piece right now, but it's one that I would go to at a moment's notice and never doubt it's potency, reliability or capability.
  8. I'd probably be more inclined to buy a 4th generation G19 if the only tweak was the addition of the ambidextrous magazine release as neither the grip texture nor the funky slide serrations do much for me on a purely visual basis. I'd have to actually hold a 4th generation Glock to make a better decision.
  9. I agree. And for what it's worth, I took no offense to anything you said.
  10. Out of your finger?
  11. Have any of you heard whether expansion maps or additional missions are planned for L4D? My wife and I used to play this game for hours on end but it's gotten to where we're kind of bored of it now. Some new maps or missions would really be cool.
  12. Off topic posts have been removed. Let's cut out the thread-jacking, folks.
  13. You guys need to keep bumping these threads so that I can lock them. Makes it a lot easier for me.
  14. Ok... I've just about had all of the anti-government, overthrow the tyranny, secessionist nonsense that I can stand. TGO is not the place for this junk. This thread is closed and we're going to start clamping down hard on this type of ridiculous fringe lunacy from this point forward.
  15. Why was this posted in the Newsworthy Reports forum? You need to stop spamming the forum with these silly "the sky is falling" threads and pay attention to where you're posting. The only forum that should have played host to this thread is the Off Topic lounge. Moving it.

    XD-M 9 or G-19

See below... Agreed. My first set of M&Ps were a full-size 40, a compact 40 and a compact 9. I had zero problems with the two 40 caliber models but had a few nagging issues with the 9 Compact. Enough so that I sold them all and kept looking for my "perfect carry piece". That journey took me through a few XDs, two HK P2000 models, my beloved Glock 19 (which I still own and will never part with), and eventually back to an M&P 9L which I traded off for my second and now current M&P 40 full-size. Somewhere in between 2005 when I bought my first M&P handguns and now, Smith & Wesson worked out 99% of the kinks. In fact, I have had zero issues with my M&P 40. None. It has eaten everything I've fed it without complaint, always goes bang when I pull the trigger, and is a tack driver. I love it. My Glock 19 will probably see more use again during the summer months when I want something that is a little shorter in the grip for slightly better concealment with shorts and a t-shirt. But my M&P 40 has now joined the Glock as one of three of the handguns that I own that are not up for sale or trade. Ever.

    XD-M 9 or G-19

I'd take option "C" and give a long hard look at the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm. They seem to be the best of both worlds, and this is coming from the guy who loves his Glock 19, has owned more than a few XDs and now carries his M&P 40 pretty much exclusively.
  18. I don't think you've paid attention to what this thread is about. It's not about the zombie aspect of the book; it's about the political and social commentaries made within and how they relate to things that are happening around us right now. No offense, but at 16 years of age I wasn't very observant in these areas so chances are you aren't either. I'd just sit and read and learn more than I posted if I were in that boat.
  19. The one thing that struck me the most about WWZ was the storyline regarding the 180-degree shift in the social "caste" system that we have here in the United States. Overnight, the people who were capable of doing meaningful, important tasks that would sustain society's way of life (i.e. farmers, plumbers, electricians, craftsmen, janitors, policemen, firemen, doctors, nurses, etc.) were of infinitely more value and had far greater earning potential than many of the more lucrative careers that exist now. Careers like actors, performers, producers, performers, athletes, etc. Those people suddenly found themselves doing menial tasks for paltry wages. Sounds like something that could easily happen if our economy were to collapse.
  20. I'd rather have an AR15 but that's just me. Infinite aftermarket support.
  21. Most holster manufacturers use BlueGuns to mold their holsters around unless one isn't available, then they use the actual firearm with certain precautions taken to protect the firearm and its finish.
  22. Well I must admit that when I first saw it I thought, "Another big bulky 92 series" but when I really stopped and looked at the photos I realized that it was a baby 92. And that does make it a cool piece of linguine.
  23. If I had known you needed a roofing hammer, I could have loaned you one and saved you whatever you paid for that Italian job.
  24. If this thread continues to make forays into Tinfoil Hat Territory, it will be closed. There are a lot of forums out there on which people can discuss how they will mount up an armed resistance against the Government if "they" decide to repeal the 2nd Amendment. A far better use of our time here in the World of Reality would be to mobilize against those who would do us harm by defeating them at the voting booth, and contacting our elected representatives to make our concerns known.
