  1. Thanks for calling around for me. I'm going to check Wal-Mart and maybe one or two other local spots tomorrow, but barring an amazing find at any of those places I'll be putting in an order with Ammunition To Go tomorrow afternoon.
  2. We're butt-deep in a recession, there are thousands of comedians out of work... and what have we got? We've got people here trying to be funny.
  3. I really would like to do this, but you NRA guys insist on always scheduling your events so that they conflict with other things that I had already committed to!!! (Translation: I'm booked solid on the 21st and I hate you for it.)
  4. It's just a tool that you can use to adjust the belt retainer. Or you can discard it and use a screwdriver or other better suited device.
  5. I really hope that wasn't the question for reasons that should be extremely obvious to anyone who's ever really taken the time to cycle a semi-automatic firearm by hand and watch how the pieces interact with one another.
  6. If the barrel is designed properly, there should be ample room between the end of the suppressor and the front face of the slide. I'd discuss this more with one of our Class III vendors (like Joe) and make sure that you're buying a combination that they know works well with your firearm.
  7. I'm not sure I understand the question, but let me just point out a few things that may answer your question anyway: You will need a longer, threaded barrel for whatever you choose to use with the suppressor. Assuming it's the Glock 19, you would obtain a threaded barrel from someone like Storm Lake or Lone Wolf. The barrel does not move with the slide on a Glock. It is an independently functioning piece that will tip ever so slightly as the slide comes fully out of battery during the recoil cycle, but it stays in essentially the same location. Adding a suppressor does not add weight to the slide, so the slide should function as normal. The things that you will need to replace are the sights. A suppressor's radius typically extends above the front sight blade on a Glock, so taller sights are required. Hope that helps?
  8. I wasn't aware of the Ammunition To Go site. I'm checking their prices and stock now. Thanks.
  9. Tough crowd! My wife and I saw it and thought it met our expectations. We weren't looking for dirty jokes, just "stupid" humor and the movie delivered. We laughed quite a bit.
  10. Georgia Arms ... Backordered OutdoorMarksman / Buyammo.com ... Backordered Prefer not to use steel cased (aka Wolf, Brown Bear) ammo since it's a little rough on the extractors. Prefer alumimum cased or ideally brass cased. This will be used for a training course, so FMJ will suffice. Anyone got a good source?
  11. You're on! Seriously, I can't get an MTAC for a J-Frame. This may be the answer!
  12. I think the potential, perceived, perhaps even imagined risks carry a far greater cost than the price tag of a box of quality factory-loaded ammunition. Save the reloads for shooting practice and reduce the "ammo" that you might inadvertently give some overzealous attorney by using something of your own recipe.
  13. My wife just mentioned yesterday that sometime this year we need to make a tour of the gun shops in TN. For your sake, we'll stay at hotels along the way and bathe regularly. It'd be kind of a funky tour if we just drove all the time and stewed in the cab of the truck.
  14. You're here to soften us up aren't you??? I like lotion. It makes my skin so soft.
  15. Subtitled: People you'll probably never see at a defensive handgun class.

We got about an inch here in my part of Rutherford Co. Just enough to cover the windows on my truck and most of the grass. The worst part is the freezing rain / sleet mixture that was beneath it on our driveway. @Deerslayer... This dude looks nothing like the guy in your avatar. Slimfast? Edited to add: This reminds me of the Matt Groening quote: "Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come."
  17. Oh sorry... I misread the thread and thought it was another about the Outpost. Outpost, Depot... I'll get out your way sooner or later!

    Signature worthy.

    None in Rutherford.
  21. That's sad. I remember hearing his radio show most every morning growing up as my parents drove me to school. Probably the single best pitch man that Bose Labs had for their Wave Radios.
  22. I got that from the first post. I was just wondering what time you were there. Perhaps the low amount of stock being reported by folks is due to them just selling out of some things.
  23. I hear the name Range USA mentioned a lot by the members here. Perhaps they have rentals?
  24. Rent, borrow, shoot as many as you can before you decide. Firearms are like cars; everyone has their preference and everyone believes that their preference is the best one out there and that everyone else is delusional. The best one for you is the one that you shoot accurately, is comfortable in your hand, and that you'll carry every day. If a firearm doesn't meet all three criteria, keep on searching. Don't buy until you can answer to the affirmative to all three.
  25. Are you talking about eggshell foam? If you just need it in a pinch, buy an eggshell mattress cover from someplace like Wal-Mart in the bedding area.
