  1. I bought a Pachmayr compac grip for my 340 last week, put it on the gun when it arrived and then ended up taking it off. I thought it was a little too big for pocket use but it sure would have been nice for recoil reduction.
  2. I don't think you have anything to worry about. High pressure water cutting is used in countless scenarios where static / heat must be avoided. Bomb disposal units often use high pressure water jets to cut through and disable improvised explosive devices.
  3. Some people could break an anvil.
  4. I'm trying to say this in the least callous way possible ... but if the time comes for you to use deadly force to defend yourself, obviously the person(s) that you will have to shoot put themselves in this predicament by trying to prey upon you or your family. Civilized people don't prey upon other people. A person who becomes predatory willfully puts aside the nice veneer of civil society and forces the rest of us to make the ultimate decision: will it be them or me? When that happens, I don't think too many tears should be shed for the predator. I feel sorry for victims. I feel sorry for those preyed upon by predators. I don't feel sorry for the guy who thought it was a good idea to rape a woman only to find out that the woman had a gun and was willing to fight to the death to defend herself. Just my take on it.
  5. I'm looking for a resident of Rutherford or Williamson counties that owns a Smith & Wesson M&P 45 and who would want to have a little fun at the range sometime soon doing a bit of a comparison between your M&P and a few other polymer, striker fired .45 ACP handguns. This would be an opportunity for you to get to shoot a few different handguns yourself, provided that two of us also get to shoot your M&P 45. The purpose of this will be to provide opinionated reviews on the different firearms for publication. You need to be willing to bring 100rds of .45ACP that you will use for all firing that you do. Factory loads only. No hand loads. Can be FMJ or other. Interested parties need to contact me by PM. We'll be doing this again soon with other calibers and other handguns, so stay tuned.
  6. Greatly appreciated.
  7. Welcome from Smyrna, neighbor.
  8. Cool. Post some pics in better lighting sometime soon if you get a chance. I'm anxious to hear your review of the MOE handguard also.
  9. What make / model handgun is it?
  10. Nice attitude. I showed it to my wife and a female colleague. Both of them said it was a pretty pig-headed statement and that they would have been offended by the insinuation, so you might want to at least consider a little more diplomacy and tact when you make a statement like that about someone's spouse. That's all I'm saying.
  11. My wife said she'd be interested in doing this also. She hasn't been able to post much with her regular 7-5 job and us trying to get our business going.
  12. Awesome! We now have the perfect :musicman: smilie!
  13. His Comcast package includes The Chippendales Channel... All Chippendales, All The Time.
  14. Fixed. Sorry about that. I had an option set incorrectly... which actually lends credence to my original thought that I had never enabled it to begin with. Had it been enabled before, it wouldn't have been set wrong. I think the OP must have confused TGO with some other forum.

    What?

I recommend using the Test forum here to get it worked out before starting any more threads.
  16. Hey Kevin(s)... welcome!
  17. How about... TAC Force - Range Bags We bought one of their "small" bags for my wife to use to carry gear to the range when we go, and it's an awesome bag. Not very small at all, despite the name. It holds two handguns easily and has 14 magazine slots according to the product info online. We got hers at the Outpost Armory.
  18. Seriously? I don't think that I could do that in good conscience. The neighbor may be a clueless idiot for not securing their wireless router, but they are still paying the bill for the service. Connecting to it without their permission is still theft in my opinion. That's like going into their garage and "borrowing" their lawn mower while they are at work just because they forgot to close the garage door when they left.
  19. It's the feature enabled at the top of each thread under the link called "Display Modes"
  20. I'm seeing a pattern develop in your statements.
  21. Suppose it is. The additional $200-300 you're paying also has to cover the salaries of the people at the company and somewhere in there makes the company a profit. It's the beauty of capitalism; people are allowed to make a profit in this country.
  22. Not really. Billet aluminum isn't exactly cheap; neither is the cost of machine hours or the cost of having the pieces anodized. Plus you have to pay someone to do the mechanical drawings in the first place, lawyers to document anything that is being patented, pay for the patenting process itself, pay lawyers to defend your patent(s), etc. People don't realize what goes into these things.
