As some of you know, I have started doing Duracoat refinishing on the side. The more of it that I do, the more I enjoy it. Years and years ago one of my hobbies was restoring cars and I was pretty handy with the spray gun back then, having several repaints under my belt. Coincidentally, a lot of the mechanics from that apply to refinishing a firearm so I feel like I had a pretty good leg up on the process from the start. I've invested a decent amount of time and money into getting my gear assembled to do quality firearms refinishing (equipment, learning the process, etc.) and have now done quite a few grip panels and other accessories. At this point I'm ready to tackle a firearm. A Glock seems like the logical place to start because detail stripping the slide is a no-brainer. I also have the necessary sight pusher tool (MGW) to install a rear sight without using the neanderthal drift and hammer method. What I'm offering is this: You supply the Glock handgun (slide only is fine) and you pay for the Duracoat material itself in whatever color you want the gun finished in. I will provide the media blasting necessary to prepare the slide for finishing and will perform the work and high-temperature cure the finish. You get a Duracoat finish for the cost of materials only and I get to scratch the itch of doing a "whole" firearm instead of pieces of firearms and firearm furniture. This offer does not include wild camo patterns or anything like that. Just a solid color this time around. We'll get a little more crazy the next time I extend an offer like this and do something more involved. You'd get first shot at that also in exchange for being the guinea pig. I'd do this to my own Glock 19 if it weren't for the fact that the finish is still essentially perfect on it. I figure someone out there has a beat-up Glock that they'd like to have spruced up a bit. First come, first served!

Technically this is not something that has to be done. The firearm functions as advertised out of the box. You insert ammo, rack the slide, pull the trigger and it goes bang. You release the trigger, pull again and it goes bang. Repeat until ammo runs dry. This is more of a personal preference gripe and one that S&W is capable of addressing, so I'm told. The more logical answer to this would be that if you want a Glock-like trigger, you should buy a Glock. Since I already have some of those, my hope is that this will come back and be even better than a Glock in the well-rounded, holistic sense. Have I mentioned lately that someone else bought that stainless steel Springfield Loaded 1911 that you were drooling over? *ohsnap* PS: Cummings diesels suck!

Governor Phil Bredesen Vetoes HB0962 (Restaurant Carry Bill)
TGO David replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
You know what... I think cases like this demand a peaceful protest in front of the restaurant on the day that HB0962 finally passes. We might as well take a tactic used against us so often by the liberal wieners (picketing) and use it against them for once. Picket signs, empty holsters displayed as a show of being rendered defenseless by the restaurant owner, and a permit obtained from the local LEO to protest outside on the public street / sidewalk off of the restaurant's private property. Maybe some bad press will change Mr. Feinstone's mind. -
It keeps people honest. "How can you say such a thing?" "I never said that." "Yes you did!" "No I didn't" "Yes you did!" "Where?" "Right here... uh... you deleted it!" "No I didn't." "Yes you did!"

So... do any of you want to get together with some of our elected politicians and thank them for their support and let them know that you'll be holding them accountable for their words and actions this next election cycle? http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/21800-feedback-needed-inaugural-tennessee-gun-owners-statewide-conference.html -

Ronal Serpas needs to worry about the drunk drivers in his own family and leave the law-making to the legislators. -
As the father of a deceased disabled child, I can say with absolute certainty that this joke isn't funny and is in really poor taste. Deleted.

It's spelled Bredesen. Just make sure you spell it right if you send him any nasty emails. -
I can get this done for anyone who wants it.

If you guys are worried that our Reps won't vote in favor of overriding this, CALL THEM, EMAIL THEM, VISIT THEM and tell them that if they DON'T override it, you'll fire their ass at the voting booth next year. -
June Middle TN Meet & Shoot -- Choose The Date

Correct. I was asking about the Ma-Deuce being semi or full just for that reason alone. I still need to make sure it's OK that we have a .50 there that is capable of firing fairly quickly even in semi-auto. -
I use Amazon. Their software is tiny.

If I sat around and worried about a lot of coulda-woulda-shoulda crap, I'd never get any peace. It's completely irrelevant what might have happened and I will go further and state that it would be insanity to try and second-guess our buddy Bredesen in the first place. -

Bredesen is the consummate politician to the bitter end. Douchebaggery at it's finest! -
Is this ever going to be a carry gun or something you plan to use to protect your life? If so, I'd re-think and re-prioritize with cost being a lesser factor.

Why? You don't think you could get some crappy .22LR ammo to blow this one up with? -
I was going to point out that you have dog feet, until I saw the snout. Now I'm going to point out that you have dog feet and a dog face. Nice shorty!
