  1. Heck yeah! You've got a gun safe in your bedroom!!!
  2. I don't see why anyone would say it is best not to ask the management or wait staff about their intentions regarding HB0962. Frankly, I'd rather know sooner than later that an establishment doesn't want my money. Why the heck would I want to continue padding their wallet waiting for them to reveal their hand??? I'm sorry that the the thread's original poster experienced such a rude reaction from the tugboat of a woman manager, but at least you know now.

  4. I was with you until I saw the color of the beer in that glass. Booo! Dark beer or no beer.

  6. Is it twoo what they say about you people? Oh... it's twoo! It's twoo!!! --Blazing Saddles
  7. Kentucky doesn't allow anyone to post a prohibited carry sign and restaurant carry has been legal since CCW permits started being issued. It sucks to admit it, but Kentucky's way ahead of Tenenssee in terms of firearms law.
  8. It takes a big man to do that.
  9. In the meantime, I highly suggest that all of you consider approaching the manager at whatever venues you frequent and ask them to please NOT post their location as an area where carry is prohibited. Explain that if they do, you will be forced to take your money elsewhere and that you will encourage your friends and family to do likewise. Come back here and post your results! We need to recognize the places that WON'T post as much as we need to out those that will.
  10. I really like this design.
  11. No problem. I've got several potential candidates for a mesh-hat and will be contacting my vendor this morning after they open. One of the hat designs that I found is actually ALL mesh but the front mesh is a bit tighter so that it looks almost solid. Would something like that work? It looks pretty darn cool.
  12. I came really close to ordering some Alumagrips for my Kimber Warrior but was a bit concerned about the fact that aluminum is a great conductor of temperature. It seems that during extended shooting sessions, the grip is going to be pretty warm. Am I just making this seem more significant than it really is?
  13. I'm not sure what you mean by "patrol cap". Are you talking about a lid?
  14. Two of my four XDs have had that problem. The two that didn't had low round counts. The two that did had more than 2,000 rounds through them. I wouldn't call it a rarity. It pretty much will be. If you want solid 1911 information, check www.1911forum.com or www.m4carbine.com and ask in their handguns forum. 10-8 Forums is one of THE best places for 1911 info but you want to just search and not post. They don't tolerate any BS and their membership is made entirely of industry professionals (cops, military, armorers, etc.) As have mine.
  15. Greg, I hope I didn't somehow imply that this would pose a logistical problem to me. It won't at all. I'd be happy to accommodate you or any others who would like to have something with partial mesh construction for hotter weather wear. Anyone else who wants one, feel free to reply and I'll get something in the works within the next two weeks.
  16. Comp-Tac MTAC is what use for my Glock 19.
  17. I recently extended an olive branch to the TFA in the form of a free banner ad here on TGO but never heard anything back about it. To that end, it strikes me that there has been a real effort from TGO to support the TFA's efforts but yet I still sense a bit of passive-agression from TFA in return. I've said my piece about this issue and I'm done publicly discussing this tension (real or perceived) between TGO and TFA. If John wants to discuss it with me privately, he knows how to get in touch with me. SomeGuy, if I were part of the TFA leadership I'd probably have told you a long time ago that you weren't to make any statements regarding TFA on TGO that weren't directly authorized by the board of directors. I'm done with this.
  18. It would probably would. It doesn't cant outward the way that most holsters designed for women are.
  19. Received it a while back but forgot to update this thread. I love it. Best OWB holster that I have ever owned. In fact, I've ordered two more of them; one for my Glock 19 and one for my Kimber Warrior. The Phantom pulls up TIGHT to the body and is almost as discrete as any IWB holster that I have used. The extra kydex and wide spread of the belt loops are key to the compact, low profile that it provides. My wife has not yet tried it.
  20. Welcome, Rob! You should consider joining us on June 14th for our regular Middle Tennessee Meet & Shoot. It would be a prime opportunity to meet some of the TGO members in person and I guarantee you would have plenty of firearms made available to you to shoot.
  21. I'm learning a butt-ton about water quality by watching today's session.

  23. Thanks for sharing this. I'm going to stick this post to the top for future reference!
  24. Guys, I am splitting most of the replies from yesterday and all of the replies today apart from the previous HB0962 thread and placing them in this new thread. It will make it easier to track what's going on and prevent the other thread from sprawling out into a 300 page monster. Thanks.
  25. Please direct further discussion of the House / Senate Override to THIS thread... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tennessee-politics-legislation/22192-official-thread-tn-house-senate-override-hb0962-gubernatorial-veto.html Thank you!
