HEARING ON GUNS IN RESTAURANTS JULY 13TH!
TGO David replied to ngoeser59's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I'm not sure where that stat came from, but to be fair I'm sure the reason any such statistic might be true is because police officers are far more likely to be involved in an active-shooter situation than HCP/CCP holders are. The more incidents of fire, the more likely something might go wrong. -
So,I was looking up an idea for a new tattoo, when I found this.....

Agreed 100%. The barbed wire and tribal tattoos stay at the forefront of my mind when I think about "trinket tattoos". Those, ass-antlers, Asian symbols, butterflies or fairies on chick's ankles, etc. strike me as being trendy fashion accessories. The guys at tattoo shops love having to cover them up later when people come to their senses. -

Meh. Trinket tattoos, yes. People who are into it for the art form, no. -
Sights are easy on a Glock. Most night sights will come with the front sight tool which is essentially a small hex-nut driver (sorta). The rear sights drift off to the right and reinstall to the left. You can do it with a wooden dowel and mallet if you are SUPER careful not to strike it hard enough to damage the tritium inserts. I have a Glock-specific sight tool that I use for this. The red lube you found is a factory heavy grease. Nothing to worry about. It'll go away the first time you hose the frame and slide out with some cleaner. Just apply a good oil to it afterward and you're good to go.

Anyone got some chitlins? Pork rinds? Anyone? -
I'm sure he was just inspecting her fiscal bottom line.

I'm hungry for some bacon. -
Let me be clear about this: The hearing on Monday is not an interactive debate. The only persons who shall be heard at the hearing are the involved attorney(s) and the involved complainants. This is why I specified, very clearly, that anyone who attends to show support for HB0962 is to do so SILENTLY. This means no signs, no facial gestures, no groans, no grunts, no comments, no "Amens", no interjections of any sort PERIOD. The NRA nor any of its representatives are not designated as parties of interest in the complaint filed therefore they, nor any of us, will be allowed to voice our opinion. This is not a trial. It is not a town hall meeting. It is a hearing of a complaint filed by Rayburn, et al. I want everyone to be very clear on this fact before they attend. Anyone who shows disrespect to the court by interrupting the proceedings will likely be thrown out and perhaps found in contempt. If you choose to attend, do not embarrass the cause of Tennessee's HCP holders and gun owners through your actions or appearance. Thanks.

Other organizations have suggested wearing a suit. I'm saying business casual. Unless you're a lawyer, you probably don't have very many suits hanging around in your closet, but most of us have a nice pair of khakis and polo shirt that we can wear. Leave the slogan shirts and clothing of that nature at home.

That's excellent news. Good luck with the interview!

Thanks for the support there, Phil. You have a PM.

HEARING ON GUNS IN RESTAURANTS JULY 13TH!
TGO David replied to ngoeser59's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
If enough people comment in this thread that they are going to be there, then we can set a rallying point outside or inside the courthouse to distribute some "lapel badges" showing our support of our Second Amendment rights. -
Don't go wearing an empty holster. It's going to be seen as being inflammatory if you do and the media will wear it out. That's assuming that security lets you in like that in the first place. If I was charged with keeping people with firearms out of a building, and some dude walked in wearing a holster, you can guarantee he'd get some extra scrutiny. If you want to do something, wear an NRA hat. Wear a TGO hat. Wear an NRA polo or some other innocuous article of clothing that doesn't make you look like a wingnut but does show where you stand on the issue. Make a name-badge style sticker that says "I SUPPORT THE 2nd AMENDMENT" and wear that on your shirt or something. Hell if enough people want them, I'll make some up, print them on the color laser printer here at TGO HQ and hand them out somehow.

Wear your TGO or NRA hat. -
Log, The Jew in question also operates a forum that would be a perfect place to go and promote his shop for him. I'll make it easy for you and give you no choice but to go there. Tell him I said hello.

This is not good advice and the issue is not black and white at all. Your firearm is your last resort.

TGO David replied to eapking's topic in Women's Perspectives
Agreed. My wife commented on the same thing when I pointed it out to her. -
Keep in mind that while I don't mind the OP posting a link to the story, we in no way advocate any sort of secessionist nonsense. In fact, I've spoke out against that sort of thing here in the past and we still have a zero tolerance policy regarding it. If this thread takes a turn toward that, it's done.

You've got enough on your plate right now. Benefactor status is on the house.

I don't buy it. I don't buy that these groups will mobilize against the direction that our nation seems to be taking when so many of them won't get off their lazy asses and vote, or at the very least won't vote against candidates that continue pushing us toward Socialism. It is an almost weekly occurrence now that I will meet someone who tells me that they just recently bought their first firearm because they are afraid that the Obama Administration is going to make it impossible to do that sooner or later. It's also alarmingly frequent that these people voted for Obama. So, yeah, I don't buy it. Americans have gotten too lazy to even mobilize peacefully.
