Sadly, it tanked again this morning and I had to restore back to our 2am backup. I've made some scripts that kill errant processes several times an hour in the hopes that it will provide a bandaid fix until the software author finds and squashes the bug that has been plaguing us since the recent web server upgrade.

Nope, it's the result of a bug in a new version of our web server software (Litespeed). The author has been alerted, but in the meantime I've rolled the server back to an older version that I know worked well for us.

Finding a range that can accommodate the requirements for this class has proven to be extremely challenging. I've been made aware that there is a class scheduled for October up around Ft. Knox, Kentucky but that class is also being held the weekend of the big TGO / Outpost Armory / Barrett Firearms rally so it is a non-issue for me anyway. What we need in terms of a range are: Close proximity to modern conveniences and hotels (10-20 miles) Ability to accommodate 20-24 shooters on the line at one time 50yd firing line minimum, 75-100yd preferred Ability to shoot dynamically. On the move, around barricades, etc. Typically Magpul Dynamics uses ranges owned by shooting clubs since they provide the most flexibility. As Daniel pointed out, I am on vacation until the first of the month. I won't be doing any more work on this until then.

You are comparing apples and oranges, in my opinion. The M&P is a duty-grade weapon and has the full backing, warranty and support of a top tier American firearm manufacturer. The XD is not.

Whew... that was a long meeting! I'm just getting back! In all seriousness, there is a lot of ground to be covered yet. We have confirmation from United States Congressman Lincoln Davis and local media personality Steve Gill that both will be attending the event. Of course Ronnie Barrett, founder of Barrett Firearms and inventor of the Barrett .50cal rifles will be a keynote speaker as well. Invitations to other honored guests have been extended and discussions with them are in progress.

This certainly seems to be the Summer Of The Dead Celebrity. Can we start submitting names of those that we'd like to see squeezed in before this summer ends?
