  1. Maybe you didn't pay much attention to this announcement... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tn-gun-owners-announcements/22008-regarding-anti-law-enforcement-cop-bashing-late.html It's only a few months old.
  2. Is this newsworthy in some way related to firearms and/or the general overall scope of TGO's stated purpose for existing, or is this just another example of a few police officers doing something wrong?

  4. Ben, I received your request for info on advertising. I'll get with you on it shortly... a little backlogged here still from the past two weeks of being out of the office. The general rules of thumb: Links in signatures are OK as long as it doesn't constitute overt advertising, a la "Click me for great deals on guns!" etc. Mentioning your credentials and/or business is OK as long as the majority of the post does not serve only to promote your services, goods, etc.

    Gun Logos

I don't remember you asking me (Admin) about it, but no... no one deleted your previous post.
  6. Shirts are definitely something we can do and I already have a camp shirt with the TGO logo on it that I wear occasionally, so I can say they do look good. I'll be getting a price list together shortly; just have a few questions left to be answered by my supplier first.
  7. Signed up for it yesterday, got my invitation today. Just got it configured.
  8. You can clean everything that routinely needs cleaning on a Glock by just removing the slide, removing the guide-rod / recoil spring, barrel and spraying the frame bits out with nonchlorinated brake cleaner or Gun Scrubber and scrubbing the bore with a copper bore brush and your choice of bore cleaner solvent. Completely disassembling the frame is not necessary for routine maintenance.
  9. TGO used to run on a Dell PowerEdge that I had to leave behind when I parted ways with my previous company. It was easier to leave a $2,000 machine behind than it was to fight with them about who really owned it. I'd be happy to use another PE for the forum when the time comes.
  10. We do. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/payments.php
  11. Cool. I will check with you when that time comes.
  12. Yep, Hero Gear is a top notch operation... I was just suggesting someone who was close by to him with Goodlettsville being just about 15 mins from Greenbrier depending on traffic.
  13. Have you tried Jeff Walle at Guns & Leather in Greenbrier yet? They have an indoor range on site, so it's conceivable that Jeff could venture to the range with you and see what the gun is doing.
  14. The site may be up and down for a little while as things continue to be worked on, tested and worked on some more. Just bear with us.
  15. Actually the author of the server software is connected to our server right now, looking into the problems.
  16. There won't be any way to shoot at this event, but if some of the TGO people want to get together and go shooting that same weekend somewhere nearby, I'm sure it could be arranged.
  17. Disassemble the magazine. Spray them out with gun scrubber (non-chlorinated brake cleaner works perfectly) and then wipe with dry paper towels or lint-free cloths until the cloths come out clean. I wiped the insides of mine down with MEK (methyl etyhl ketone) but that's probably a little on the side of overkill.
  18. Well played.
  19. I've cleaned up some non-firearms related old material (classic car stuff) and had no issues with it, but haven't refinished anything like that per se. Media blasting, even if only at a very low pressure and not enough to totally strip a finish down to the metal, can only help on most sprayed coatings as it gives a rough texture that allows the new finish to adhere properly.
  20. I bought a media blaster from an industrial supplier.
  21. Yep! But ours are being made in pink, gray and white urban camo with lime green letters.
  22. It sounds like we're going to do my brother's Vltor MUR upper in the same color so this could end up looking pretty sweet. Almost like an FN SCAR except with 100% less Ugly attached to it.
  23. Hey folks... As Len stated, we are trying to do a TGO Table at this dinner and right now it sounds like we are on our way to being able to have enough people present to pull it off. Essentially by buying it as a table, we are able to save a little bit of money individually. If you are going to attend, please reply and fill your name into the list below. If we have enough to do TWO tables, that would be even better! Table #1 1. TGO David 2. Mrs. TGO David 3. Hornet Handler 4. Mrs. Hornet Handler 5. DunnDW 6. 7. 8.
  24. I like that better than any AK.
